Design of Dual Space Inquiry framework for facilitating flexible learning in digital technology era

Mixed learning that offers flexibility is a current requirement. However, the challenge lies in ensuring that these approaches effectively accommodate interactive and practical elements, especially in physics education. This research aims to design a conceptual framework of the Dual Space Inquiry for facilitating flexible learning in basic physics course. An educational design research (EDR) approach was used to develop and validate the Dual Space Inquiry framework comprising three phases: analysis and exploration;design and construction;and evaluation and reflection. This research involved 253 students and 20 experts and practitioners. The findings highlighted the urgency of implementing a mixed learning framework that combines face-to-face and online learning methods in physics education contexts to optimize learning outcomes. These results became the basis for the design of the Dual Space Inquiry Framework which emphasizes flexibility, humanism, and student-centered. Furthermore, the results of expert and practitioner judgment showed that the framework's validity is in the high category (v-values=0.770). Based on the results, it is concluded that an approach that combines online and offline learning with inquiry activities integration in a balanced manner is recommended for optimal learning outcomes for physics education. The Dual Space Inquiry Framework, with its high validity, is a valuable framework for lecturers in physics and other science fields to enhance learning quality and adapt to the digital technology era. © 2024 The Author(s)

This study aims to find out the technological content knowledge profile of Mathematics education Students of Teacher Training and education Faculty, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sukabumi who have completed courses in Mathematics Capita Selecta III. The research method used is descriptive with quantitative approach. Data is collected by survey method, using a questionnaire instrument whose statement is based on the component of technological content knowledge. The results showed that students' technological content knowledge was in a good category with an means 3.52 which means that students of Mathematics education understood how to integrate technology and material in learning school mathematics. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd. Digitalization in industrial revolution 4.0 era has many impacts towards all aspects of life. Massive technology advancement shifts industrial demands in Indonesia from quantitative to qualitative demands. These qualitative demands can be interpreted that today's industry workforce not only need technique competencies but also must have good Computational Thinking (CT) which is the pillar of collaboration, communication, creativity, and problem-solving skills. This issue did not balance with the enhancement of cognitive skills of Indonesians, especially youth or millennial generation. Millennial generation required to overcome multilevel challenges to improve thinking skills particularly on individual level. The low level of intrinsic motivation in using computational thinking to solve its problem became one of millennial culture characteristics. One of the solutions is cultivate student's intrinsic motivation to use CT by utilize Ikigai concept on teaching and learning activities from early grade. The Ikigai role as motivation template has been endure for millennia and proven, if used properly, to be most important factor that help eastern culture people achieve self-actualization. This study aims to develop instructional design that include Ikigai concept to support the achievement of intellectual competencies. Product development is done by Research and Development (R&D) Method with Akker procedure scheme. Product expected to improve students CT in accordance to standard needed in industrial 4.0 era. At this point, we currently at Empirical Testing phase. As expected, we got good response from teacher for product's ease of use and provide clear assessment of students CT Skills. Student that can be described as skilled programmer often have poor communication or collaboration skills with societies. In 21 centuries, teacher area required to have high accountability in facilitating their students to achieve various knowledge and life skills in society. An appropriate learning model that meet the students' needs is essential to develop social skills because the learning model that emphasizes only on the skills of the students as individuals will not allow them to face the challenges of life that demand them to collaborate with other. This research aimed at developing an innovative learning model that facilitate students to optimally achieve social skills as one of the social studies objectives and investigating the significance of the effect of project-based learning model on the social skills of fifth grade students of elementary. The research is done by experimental method with non-equivalent control group design. The basis of this research is to observe the importance of improving the mathematical communication skill of elementary school students. In this case, this research attempted to discover learning alternative that could improve mathematical communication skill of students by employing Two-Stay Two-Stray (TSTS) cooperative learning model. This research aimed to examine students' mathematical communication skill and mathematics learning improvement by employing TSTS model. The employed method was a quasi-experiment of the non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The participants for this study were the 5th-grade students of one of the public elementary schools in one of the districts in Purwakarta Regency. In this study, 26 students were employed as participants for each experimental and controlled group. This research discovered that: 1) students' mathematical communication skill improvement that was taught using TSTS learning model was higher compared conventional model;2) TSTS model was found influencing the improvement of students' mathematical communication skill;3) students' mathematics learning activity and process was more active and improved with TSTS model. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Development and growth in children must be stimulated properly in order to occur optimally. In the phase of growth and development, children spend most of their time playing. Generally, children have high learning abilities and curiosity. Today, children have started to become familiar with gadgets and digital games. Unfortunately most of the games that are played more suitable for adults. Not infrequently due to lack of parental supervision and lack of choice to play make children addicted to games that are not suitable for them. Actually, in this phase children need to get interesting positive stimulus to hone their intelligence. For that condition, one of many solution is the availability of games for learning media. This paper tries to analyze and design prototypes of N-Ram Digital Games for children. N-Ram digital games are games for learning geometry in children. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with a waterfall approach in Software Development. The result of the analysis and design of this prototype is N-Ram Digital Games to learn geometry through pairing and adjusting images accordingly, and building a geometric shape from several available geometric shapes. © 2020 EAI.

The advancement of information and communication technology requires teachers to create various innovative learning media based on information technology;one of those media is database learning. Database is a course which uses to discuss the framework in developing the application programs. Hence, the technology needs to be intensified in improving skills in the field of software engineering and as a source of learning for students in secondary schools. This research is designed to develop web based learning media and measure student interest in learning through media that have been developed. This media was developed by using ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Questionnaire was used as the instrument in collecting data. Then, questionnaire data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative. The feasibility of web based learning is assessed by media experts, material experts, and tested on students. The population of this research is the vocational high school students grade XI majoring in Software Engineering. The results show that web based learning media is declared very feasible with a percentage of 82.6%. Student learning interest is measured using three indicators;attention, feeling happy, and activity. Those all indicators are in high category because the design of web based learning media is fit to students needs and makes learning fun, moreover the students are able to access it outside the class. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Lampung Province is one of the regions with the highest cocoa production, but many factors can interfere with cocoa production. One of them is the factor of pests and diseases of cocoa that cannot be identified and prevented beforehand. An expert system is a system that adopts expert knowledge or experts in a particular field. However, the diagnosis usually contains uncertainty in the form of answers and statements used. Certainty Factor (CF) algorithm, is one of the algorithms that is able to overcome uncertainty by providing a value for the level of trust from experts and users. However, because the CF value is based on the level of confidence in the symptoms experienced by the user, it creates a problem, namely the consistency of the user's answers. So, it is necessary to make improvements to the CF algorithm, to overcome the inconsistency of user answers through the use of Consistency Ratio (CR). Through the use of CR, inconsistencies are overcome through comparisons between the consistency index and the random index. Based on the results of the accuracy test, the proposed model is able to produce an accuracy rate of 86.67% in the diagnosis of pests and diseases on cocoa plants. © 2022 IEEE.

The student should be a master for science comprehension concepts, especially in material styles found in everyday life. The research aims to know influence approaching Contextual Teaching and Learning on the improve ability to comprehend the science concept. The experiment was carried out for 3 weeks involving 50 grade V elementary school students based on equal ability levels. pre-test and post-test refers to the falling motion material of an object due to gravitational force, how to enlarge and minimize friction force, as well as factors that influence the magnetic breakthrough force. As for each meeting an observation was carried out on 50 elementary school students conducted by the observer. The results of this test are processed and analyzed further using a t-test. The result showed that there is a significant difference between the ability of understanding concept students of experimental class using Contextual Teaching and Learning with control class students using direct learning method with pre-test post-test ≤ 0,05. Other than that the T test and N-gain of both classes showed the result of 0.000. That is approach Contextual Teaching and Learning influencing to improve understanding ability students' concept science learning method in elementary school. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

To determine the quality of beef, it is usually seen using a flashlight and matching it with a predetermined color standard. However, this method is time consuming and the results are inconsistent due to human visual limitations. This study aims to identify the freshness of beef based on its color characteristics using feature extraction method with HSV and LDA method for identification. The identification process begins with the transformation process from RGB images to L∗a∗b, then image segmentation serves to separate one object from another and image identification uses the LDA method with feature extraction using HSV. The use of color feature extraction with the HSV algorithm to assist in obtaining information from the colors contained in the image for easy identification. Furthermore, the LDA algorithm has a function to obtain the maximum projection to obtain a smaller dimensional space so that the desired patterns can be separated through the boundary line of a linear equation so as to form a certain class or group. Based on the test results using the confusion matrix, it produces a precision value of 80%, recall of 84%, and accuracy of 82%. © 2022 IEEE.
