To determine the quality of beef, it is usually seen using a flashlight and matching it with a predetermined color standard. However, this method is time consuming and the results are inconsistent due to human visual limitations. This study aims to identify the freshness of beef based on its color characteristics using feature extraction method with HSV and LDA method for identification. The identification process begins with the transformation process from RGB images to L*a*b, then image segmentation serves to separate one object from another and image identification uses the LDA method with feature extraction using HSV. The use of color feature extraction with the HSV algorithm to assist in obtaining information from the colors contained in the image for easy identification. Furthermore, the LDA algorithm has a function to obtain the maximum projection to obtain a smaller dimensional space so that the desired patterns can be separated through the boundary line of a linear equation so as to form a certain class or group. Based on the test results using the confusion matrix, it produces a precision value of 80%, recall of 84%, and accuracy of 82%.

In recent years, assistive technologies have been adopted rapidly worldwide to increase quality treatments for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), including in Indonesia. However, adaption to a local context, e.g., using a local language, is needed to optimize the benefits. This study proposes an Indonesian version of an application technology called the media of visual communication for children with ASD (MIKA). The application development integrates agile scrum and user-centered design methodologies. The design and implementation are tested multiple times in the sprint reviews and usability evaluation to assure that the end product meets the standards of a therapy tool. MIKA offers a communication learning facility based on treatment and education of autistic and communication handicapped children (TEACCH) principles, a progress tracking and reporting feature, and a personalized content management tool based on user history and learning progress. ASD professionals, i.e., therapies and counselors, who participated in the sprint reviews and evaluations, acknowledged the advantages of using a tech-based therapy tool and the willingness to adopt MIKA. The MIKA project is in progress, targeting better facilitation of early childhood special education, and is now focusing on corrective maintenance and perfective improvements based on feedback from users and evaluators.

Based on WHO’s data, breast cancer is one of the most deadly diseases that has claimed many victims, especially women. This disease begins with the presence of an undetected and eventually turns into malignant (cancer). This happens due to ignorance of the importance of having a medical check-up even though in good health. Doctors and researchers can prevent the development of tumor cells through treatment that begins with radiological examinations to identify the possibility of a person being affected by this disease. One of the most frequently used techniques is Mammography. This technique can detect the presence of tumor cells using advanced technology and several methods in displaying the patient’s diagnostic results on low-dose X-rays in the form of mammogram images. The technology is inseparable from the methods used to identify the presence of tumor cells. In this study, we have proposed the CNN method based on the deep-CNN model to identify mammogram images in the detection of breast cancer cells with average evaluation results in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, specificity, and f-measure on mammogram image datasets of 99.52%, 99.72%, 99.31%, 99.72%, and 99.5%. These results showed that this method has a good performance in breast cancer detection.

Diabetes is a disease that affects many people in the world. Diabetes mellitus is a type of metabolic disease in a person who suffers from blood glucose levels with extreme conditions, namely insufficient insulin production in the human body. Monitoring diabetes is an important concern for researchers because it can be useful for improving the quality of the nursing service system. One of the common conditions in diabetic patients is ulceration which is difficult to detect on time. technology can minimize the total cost of monitoring chronic diseases such as Diabetes continuously and on time. This research focuses on solutions to produce IoT-based smart diabetic shoes that utilize pressure sensors and the temperature of the feet of people with diabetic feet. Smart diabetic shoes are made using the Lora E32 module to be applied to areas with poor internet connections. The results of the testing carried out for 60 seconds in this study succeeded in detecting the area of the foot that experienced the greatest pressure, which was located on the rear footrest with a portion of pressure of around 25 - 28% of the total body weight. The patient's foot temperature increases when the pedestal load is greater. The Lora E32 module also functions as a media transmitter and receiver at a distance of 2.2 km in sending sensor data. © 2023 IEEE.

In modern era, data has become precious and important, data leak can lead to high damage to business, impact on losing profit. To avoiding those problems, organization need equip with updated security tools to protecting data and network. As computer network growing rapidly, currently security become important to prevent from attack, both from outside and inside the network. In line with that, new vulnerability grown on everyday basis and resulting increment number of intrusion and attack. Unfortunately, each intrusion and attack have a different pattern and unique behavior, continuous development and research on intrusion detection is mandatory. By statistic, in 2017 attack associated with XSS attack is grew 39% compared with 2015.

The atmospheric turbulence as the natural media of optical propagation for the free-space optical (FSO) communications is the great advantage to reach flexible connection and low-cost deployment but also is the major problem as well. Since, the phenomena of optical propagation in the atmosphere are random process, an optical signal is induced that produces severe effects to the performance. Thus, a method to reach best performance of FSO must be developed intensively to reduce the severe effects of atmospheric turbulence. One of the solutions to reduce those aforementioned effects is an ultrashort pulse implemented in FSO to modulate frequency carrier as the signal of optical propagation. In this paper, an investigation of an ultrashort pulse was performed through simulation. An ultrashort pulse has a great chance to be implemented in FSO since it has shorter width of pulse duration than a short pulse. An ultrashort pulse is generated using optical second harmonic pulse generator that produce a pulse at 50 fs of width. Based on the results of simulation, the ultrashort pulses showing better performance of FSO than short pulses have. © 2022 Institute of Advanced Engineering and Science (IAES).

The potential for future energy crises is a problem the world is currently facing. Many countries are switching from fossil to renewable energy to prevent an energy crisis. One of the most developed renewable energy today is solar energy. Easy installation makes solar energy installation not only on a large scale but also on a home scale. Urban areas will be very suitable for building solar photovoltaic (PV) roofs due to minimal open areas. In installing rooftop solar PV, sound planning is needed to predict the energy potential that can be provided by solar energy on the rooftop of a building. Spatial modeling can be done to determine the energy potential and suitable location for rooftop solar PV installation. In building rooftop solar PV modeling, the level of detail of the building will affect the results of the model. The rooftop's shape and the building's height will affect the amount of solar radiation going into the building. However, the higher the level of detail of the building, the higher the cost and processing time will be. This study will review the differences in modeling the potential of rooftop solar PV using different levels of detail. This research will integrate solar radiation data from remote sensing to determine the energy potential of solar radiation and digital surface model data from photogrammetry to create a level of detail for buildings. Integration of solar radiation data and the level of detail of the building will use hillshade analysis. Hillshade analysis can review the shadow effect on the rooftop of a building which will be directly related to the potential of solar energy on the rooftop of the building. This study determines the energy potential on the rooftop of the building with different levels of detail, namely 0, 1, and actual shape, to determine the difference in energy potential in the three scenarios. The development of the pattern recognition techniques in voice recognition has rapidly increased. Many methods are used to create a system that is reliable and easily accessible so that the recognition accuracy is high. To find the pattern recognition system that is robust and reliable, proper feature extraction methods are needed. In this case, the proper method of the feature extraction is an efficient and effective method when it is used in recognizing specific features of data. This paper presents an effective and efficient method of the extracting features for speech processing. The focus of this work is to explore the feature extraction methods which are the most efficient and effective in recognizing Indonesian phonemes. The Feature extraction methods used and compared in the study are the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Wavelet Packet Transform (WPT). The wavelet transform was done on the 2 nd level until 4 th level of decomposition. The comparison of the performance of both feature extraction methods are presented at the end of this section, with a statistical comparison, to draw a conclusion that the DWT methods have a better performance in terms of effectiveness and efficiency compared with the WPT method. The results of the study show that the effectiveness ratio is 60% versus 40% and the efficiency ratio is 57% versus 43%.

In today’s complex global environments, it is highly challenging to achieve effective healthcare management. The critical challenges faced by healthcare management are being met by the revolution of m-health where mobile cloud computing plays a major role. The taxonomy of mobile computing comprises operational aspects, end-user issues, and service quality and mobility management. The use of smartphone technologies and applications has become a highly significant approach to improving healthcare management. Mobile health services such as mobile pathology, mobile neurosurgery, cancer treatment, and behavioral/psychological disorders are gaining significance where smartphone applications are being used. Portability, flexibility, and convenience are major characteristics of mobile computing that have helped patients and doctors to develop better relationships through coordination and communication. The relationship between smartphone technologies and applications and healthcare management can be understood in several broad aspects. This article aims to analyze the current and future implications of these technologies on healthcare and disease management systems.
