In the past decade, it stated that the discourse on Sustainable Development and the Financial technology(FinTech) role in the financial and banking industries, has attention on researchers, practitioners, regulators, and policymakers. The real problem arises from the discourse on whether FinTech has an effect on sustainable development in the financial and banking industry in Indonesia. This discourse needed to be understood better and more deeply. For credible research results, it is necessary to use a mixedmethod research approach. This research aims to develop a model that will help uncover the phenomenon of FinTech to sustainable development in the Financial and Banking Industry in Indonesia, using mixed methods research. In this study, Exploratory Sequential Mixed Method used as a type of mixedmethod approach. The main results of this study reveal that FinTech, which is influenced by business drivers, has a significant role in sustainable development in the Financial and Banking Industry in Indonesia. The contribution of this research can provide insight and understanding for researchers and practitioners in the financial and banking industry who want to implement a sustainable development model based on FinTech in more depth. © 2020 IEEE.

Japanese language has complex writing systems, Kanji and Kana (Katakana and Hiragana). Each one has different style of writing. One simple way to differentiate is Kanji have more strokes than Kana. Meanwhile, it needs a lot of effort to remember characters of Katakana and Hiragana, thus it will be very difficult to distinguish handwritten Katakana and Hiragana, since there are a lot of similar characters. This is the reason why we need pattern recognition. Handwriting recognition has been the object of intensive research during the last decades, including Japanese characters recognition. In this research, we build an application to recognize Kanas character handwriting. Pattern recognition on Kana is started based on Optical Character Recognition (OCR) consist of scan image, preprocessing, feature extraction and post-processing. Classification process will be done in post-processing using neural network back propagation. The processing of input images, involves training and testing image. Training image uses 3.956 characters done in three phases of training. Testing image uses 552 characters of some images inputted in training phase and image which has not been used before. The test result achieve maximum accuracy of recognition system at 91.88% from train image and 31.03% from test image. © 2011 IEEE.

This paper presents a correlation fractal dimension characterization as applied to auditory cough signals. We have obtained cough samples from person with and without Covid-19 disease. Our hypothesis is coughs coming from Covid-19 disease exhibit fractal behavior. To show this, we apply fractal-size measurements on both samples. Preliminary results confirm fractality on Covid-19 cough signals. This result can improve performance of pre-screening for identification the presence respiratory diseases, such as Covid-19. © 2021 IEEE.

This paper presents an estimator of fractal signal sizes based on correlation fractal dimension as applied to auditory signals. Correlation fractal dimension has been proposed for characterization of signals coming from chaotic sources. Practical estimations are made possible using a Takens algorithm, producing different estimates in each embedding dimension. The estimator consists of four processes: (i) signal measures creation, (ii) covering-counting, (iii) critical-exponent estimation, and (iv) size calculation. We study the resulting estimates of controlled signals to validate the estimator as well as to come up with a calibration scheme. The paper further discusses a possible application of fractal sizes to characterize coughs to identify the presense of respiratory diseases, such as in Covid-19 pre-screening. © 2021 IEEE.

This paper presents an overview of fractal signal processing for characterizing noise-like auditory signals. Fractal processing is particularly effective for signals exhibiting a kind of self-similarity property. This paper identifies four aspects of signals that may have such a property: (i) signal sets, (ii) signal spectra, (iii) signal measures, and (iv) signal sources. We describe a self-similar characterization of each aspect, and discuss their applicability in processing noise-like signals, especially for intended respiratory pre-screening applications. © 2021 IEEE.

This paper presents an engineering taxonomy capable of engineering multi domain systems. Traditional engineering science approaches have succeeded in developing infrastructure, products and applications, but this is not enough to answer the complexity of the issues of living in the 21st century. We develop Smart Engineeering Platform (SEP), having five dimensions (i) hard, (ii) soft, (iii) liquid, (iv) vapour, and (v) the spatial engineering. These engineering dimensions have resulted in design dan implementation of hardware, software, liquidware, vapourware, and spatialware. Combining these dimensions results in multi-domain systems, such as signal processing systems, competitive systems (e.g, product-services-knowledge-value systems PSKV-S), as well as spiritual computing (immersive environments). © 2021 IEEE.

Load Balancing is very well applied to the distribution of internet access at any point of the Wi-Fi area so that the use of limited devices can be optimal and on target. The proper use of the Greedy Algorithms when applied to an access point device is very capable in resolving excessive loading in a single resource to take the best choice at every stage in an optimum process. Access point device is also a success factor in running the optimization of the distribution of Wi-Fi access on the Access Point is strongly influenced by the parameters set. In this research, user access factor in one very high Wi-Fi area also influences the possibility of incoming access failure. For the application of the results of this study can be utilized on all access point devices that have limits, but for speed internet access remains at the capacity provided bandwidth. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Hydroponic plants require regular monitoring of plants that grow well and can even cause plants to die. Because too late in providing nutrition or getting too little or too little food or routine monitoring in the hydroponic system. The innovation proposed in the agricultural sector that we suggest is the process of monitoring hydroponic plants in real-time. This study aims to predict the excess or lack of nutrient content based on the results of routine monitoring and has the analytical ability to determine the prediction of the value of Parts per Million (PPM) to find the nutritional value of plant media. Measurement of nutritional value using Electrical Conductivity (EC) and the potential of Hydrogen (pH) in hydroponic plant media. In this research, using the NFT hydroponic system as the application of fuzzy logic with the Mamdani method to determine the predictions of PPM values in providing nutrients at plants to adjusting the nutritional at each plant (e.g., for water spinach plants are need 1050 until 1400 PPM). The implemented is method Internet of Things (IoT) to remote sensing on measure using a smartphone as the representation of the measurement results on the hydroponic system. © 2019 IEEE.

This study aims to improve the Dynamic k-means algorithm for determining the optimal number of clusters and iteration. Unfortunately, the dynamic k-means algorithm has limitations in determining the centroid point, whereas the binary search centroid algorithm can determine the cluster's centroid point but has limitations in determining the number of clusters. In the case of home industry datasets, it is proposed to optimize clustering results using a combination of Dynamic k-means algorithm and binary search centroid based on the advantages and disadvantages of each algorithm. 3,466 home industries were used as the sample data. The validity of both algorithms was assessed using the Davies Bouldin Index (DBI) methods. In clustering home industry datasets, the minimum value of DBI Cluster algorithm combination of Dynamic k-means and binary search centroid K-means (DK-means with BSCK-means) is the smallest, which is 0.1845, when compared to only Dynamic K-means algorithm. The final result of home industry clustering using a combination of Dynamic K-means and the Binary Search Centroid algorithm yields an optimal value in the fifth iteration, with the acquisition of the beginner cluster C1 is 3224, the developing cluster C2 is 160, and the advanced cluster C3 is 82. © 2022 Institute of Advanced Engineering and Science (IAES).

Raspberry Pi is a mini-computer that is provided to carry out activities quickly and precisely, but Raspberry Pi was created to not be able to do the real-time system with the support of Windows 10 IoT operating system, so the real-time system can be done on Raspberry Pi. The real-time applied in the application needs to be tested with the Nyquist theory. The purpose of this study was to get real-time system measurements available on Windows 10 IoT. This test is done using the Nyquist theory by calculating the results of measurements on mp3 streaming performed on Windows 10 IoT. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
