Genetic Algorithm in Image Inserting with Modified Least Significant Bit Method to Find The Best MSE Value

Inserting data into digital media tends to change the large size of the media cover file, this is because the inserted pixel has a different size from the insertion value, i.e. with a larger or smaller value, for example a pixel value of 10 is inserted with larger or smaller data from the value 10. So that the pixel value is getting further from the value of 10, this causes the value of Mean Squared Error (MSE) of the media of the cover (cover) to become larger. In this study, the selection of pixels in the image is in accordance with the value of the insertion data as the insertion place with the Genetic algorithm (GA). Insertion of data on selected pixels using the GA algorithm is performed using the Modified Least Significant Bit (MLSB) algorithm at the position of the least significant bits. To find out the reliability of the proposed algorithm, the data insertion experiment was carried out by comparing the conventional LSB algorithm with the proposed algorithm where the results obtained a significant MSE value, i.e. the average MSE value of the LSB algorithm was 20.54 and the proposed algorithm was 7.12.

Goldilocks quantum cellular automata (QCA) have been simulated on quantum hardware and produce emergent small-world correlation networks. In Goldilocks QCA, a single-qubit unitary is applied to each qubit in a one-dimensional chain subject to a balance constraint: a qubit is updated if its neighbors are in opposite basis states. Here, we prove that a subclass of Goldilocks QCA—including the one implemented experimentally—map onto free fermions and therefore can be classically simulated efficiently. We support this claim with two independent proofs, one involving a Jordan–Wigner transformation and one mapping the integrable six-vertex model to QCA. We compute local conserved quantities of these QCA and predict experimentally measurable expectation values. These calculations can be applied to test large digital quantum computers against known solutions. In contrast, typical Goldilocks QCA have equilibration properties and quasienergy-level statistics that suggest nonintegrability. Still, the latter QCA conserve one quantity useful for error mitigation. This paper examines the relationship between user pageview (PV) histories and their item-choice behavior on an e-commerce website. We focus on PV sequences, which represent time series of the number of PVs for each user-item pair. We propose a shape-restricted optimization model that accurately estimates item-choice probabilities for all possible PV sequences. This model imposes monotonicity constraints on item-choice probabilities by exploiting partial orders for PV sequences, according to the recency and frequency of a user's previous PVs. To improve the computational efficiency of our optimization model, we devise efficient algorithms for eliminating all redundant constraints according to the transitivity of the partial orders. Experimental results using real-world clickstream data demonstrate that our method achieves higher prediction performance than that of a state-of-the-art optimization model and common machine learning methods. Background: Although evidence indicates that extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) is effective in treating calcifying shoulder tendinitis, incomplete resorption and dissatisfactory results are still reported in many cases. Data mining techniques have been applied in health care in the past decade to predict outcomes of disease and treatment. Purpose: To identify the ideal data mining technique for the prediction of ESWT-induced shoulder calcification resorption and the most accurate algorithm for use in the clinical setting. Study Design: Case-control study. Methods: Patients with painful calcified shoulder tendinitis treated by ESWT were enrolled. Seven clinical factors related to shoulder calcification were adopted as the input attributes: sex, age, side affected, symptom duration, pretreatment Constant-Murley score, and calcification size and type. The 5 data mining techniques assessed were multilayer perceptron (neural network), naïve Bayes, sequential minimal optimization, logistic regression, and the J48 decision tree classifier. Results: A total of 248 patients with calcified shoulder tendinitis were enrolled in this study. Shorter symptom duration yielded the highest gain ratio (0.374), followed by smaller calcification size (0.336) and calcification type (0.253). With the J48 decision tree method, the accuracy of 3 input attributes was 89.5% by 10-fold cross-validation, indicating satisfactory accuracy. A treatment algorithm using the J48 decision tree indicated that a symptom duration of ≤10 months was the most positive indicator of calcification resorption, followed by a calcification size of ≤10.82 mm. Conclusion: The J48 decision tree method demonstrated the highest precision and accuracy in the prediction of shoulder calcification resorption by ESWT. A symptom duration of ≤10 months or calcification size of ≤10.82 mm represented the clinical scenarios most likely to show resorption after ESWT. © The Author(s) 2024.

High-performance computing (HPC) solves the application of significant challenges using computer modeling, simulation, and analytical technology. By using HPC technology, products design will be faster, making and testing prototypes will save time, the production process can be simplified, the cost of innovation will decrease, and high-value innovation will be quickly developed. This study uses the PRISMA method, based on predetermined keywords and analyzes the algorithms, frameworks and programming languages and the processes that are most commonly used to optimize the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). TeraHertz (THz) communications can satisfy the high data rate demand with massive bandwidth. However, severe path attenuation and hardware imperfection greatly alleviate its performance. Therefore, we utilize the reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) technology and investigate the RIS-aided THz communications. We first prove that the small-scale amplitude fading of THz signals can be accurately modeled by the fluctuating two-ray distribution based on two THz signal measurement experiments conducted in a variety of different scenarios. To optimize the phase-shifts at the RIS elements, we propose a novel swarm intelligence-based method that does not require full channel estimation. We then derive exact statistical characterizations of end-to-end signal-to-noise plus distortion ratio (SNDR) and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Moreover, we present asymptotic analysis to obtain more insights when the SNDR or the number of RIS's elements is high. Finally, we derive analytical expressions for the outage probability and ergodic capacity. The tight upper bounds of ergodic capacity for both ideal and non-ideal radio frequency chains are obtained. It is interesting to find that increasing the number of RIS's elements can significantly improve the THz communications system performance. For example, the ergodic capacity can increase up to 25% when the number of elements increases from 40 to 80, which incurs only insignificant costs to the system. © 2020, CC BY.

Hoax is defined as a try to convince any readers to believe particular deception. A news frequently spreads on social media. Hoaxes news is engineered to meet a personal purpose and caused by predefined factors. In Indonesia, one of the top discussions is about hoax news related to natural disasters spread through social media. Some people have been sentenced to jail because of making and spreading hoax news. To date, the internet community is unable to distinguish hoax news from the actual news. This is because there is no available tool to detect hoaxes. Therefore, this paper propose an initiative to have a hoax detection application in Android-based devices by using the web scraping technique to extract data downloaded from the inputted URL with a simplified interface. The retrieved data are optimized by utilizing Nazief-Adriani stemming algorithm and analyzed by using Rabin-Karp algorithm.

Background: The efficacy of extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) for treating shoulder calcific tendinitis can be influenced by various prognostic factors. This study aimed to identify prognostic factors associated with the failure of ESWT for symptom relief and to evaluate the predictive capability of the eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) algorithm of artificial intelligence techniques in this context. Methods: This retrospective study enrolled patients with persistent shoulder pain attributed to calcific tendinitis who underwent ESWT after failed conservative treatment between January 1998 and December 2022. Age, sex, duration of symptoms, calcification classification and size, pre-ESWT visual analog scale (VAS), and pre-ESWT Constant-Murley score (CMS) served as potential input attributes. The difference in VAS and CMS were defined as the output attributes. The XGBoost model was used to predict treatment outcomes based on these factors. The dataset was balanced using the synthetic minority oversampling technique, and the model's performance was assessed using 10-fold cross-validation. Spearman's rank correlation coefficient analysis was adopted to explore the relationships between significant continuous input attributes and post-ESWT VAS and CMS scores. Results: A total of 296 patients with calcific tendinitis were enrolled and completed the 1-year follow-up. The findings revealed that a prolonged symptom duration (>10 months), severe pain (pre-ESWT VAS >5), and higher pre-ESWT CMS (>55) were significant prognostic factors for the failure of ESWT for symptom relief. Using these factors as inputs, the XGBoost model demonstrated high accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score. By reducing the input attributes to age, calcification size, pre-ESWT CMS, and symptom duration, the model maintained a high prediction rate, suggesting that these factors are sufficient for effective prediction. Left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) indicates subclinical organ damage, associating with the incidence of cardiovascular diseases. From the medical perspective, electrocardiogram (ECG) is a low-cost, non-invasive, and easily reproducible tool that is often used as a preliminary diagnosis for the detection of heart disease. Nowadays, there are many criteria for assessing LVH by ECG. These criteria usually include that voltage combination of RS peaks in multi-lead ECG must be greater than one or more thresholds for diagnosis. We developed a system for detecting LVH using ECG signals by two steps: firstly, the R-peak and S-valley amplitudes of the 12-lead ECG were extracted to automatically obtain a total of 24 features and ECG beats of each case (LVH or non-LVH) were segmented; secondly, a back propagation neural network (BPN) was trained using a dataset with these features. Echocardiography (ECHO) was used as the gold standard for diagnosing LVH. The number of LVH cases (of a Taiwanese population) identified was 173. As each ECG sequence generally included 8 to 13 cycles (heartbeats) due to differences in heart rate, etc., we identified 1466 ECG cycles of LVH patients after beat segmentation. Results showed that our BPN model for detecting LVH reached the testing accuracy, precision, sensitivity, and specificity of 0.961, 0.958, 0.966 and 0.956, respectively. Detection performances of our BPN model, on the whole, outperform 7 methods using ECG criteria and many ECG-based artificial intelligence (AI) models reported previously for detecting LVH.

In the cryptographic field, it is a cryptosystem practice to use a secret key together with a cryptographic algorithm parameter. These cryptographic algorithms should produce pseudorandom data to understand better the cryptographic performance of such ciphers. To understand the performance of a cryptographic algorithm a statistical analysis should be performed. In this paper, a randomness analysis of the proposed cryptographic algorithm using combined multilevel substitution and encryption techniques were executed. Statistical test results were presented using NIST STS to measure the randomness behavior of the keystream output. The statistical analysis utilized the non-parameterized test selection, such as cumulative sums, runs test, longest runs of ones, and frequency. The performed experiment used 100 samples with 100 bits in length. The algorithm achieved an average success rate of 99.50% in four statistical tests used. Therefore, it is assumed that the proposed cryptographic algorithm is effective in producing a random ciphertext sequence. For future works, it is then suggested to implement it in software application to boost electronic medical records protection.
