This paper discusses the design and implementation process of mobile applications used by nurses to communicate with the elderly or with people appointed to represent the elderly in using this mobile application. This mobile application is expected to help caregivers or nurses monitor the health condition of the elderly, and this mobile application has several functions that make it complete. These functions include submitting weekly reports, communicating with others via forums, and providing relevant information about the elderly and how to deal with them, including news and government regulations on elderly care. This mobile application uses case diagrams to describe business processes and class diagrams to illustrate database design. As for the implementation, android studio and MySQL database are used for database storage. This paper is limited to 9 references for literature review previous similar research by searching for publication titles with the sentences 'mobile application'+elderly+care using quotation marks and without quotation marks for the words elderly and care for all years of publication. © 2022 IEEE.

An efficient diagnosis is very important for a multiprocessor system. In this paper, we present a (α, β) -trees combination S(u, X, α, β) and give some conclusions about the local diagnosis. Based on the (α, β) -trees combination, we give a conditional fault local diagnosis algorithm to identify the fault or fault-free status of each processor correctly under the MM ∗ model when the number of faulty nodes does not exceed α+ 2 β- 3 and every node has at least one fault-free neighboring node. According to our results, a connected network with a (α, β) -trees combination S(u, X, α, β) for a node u is conditionally locally (α+ 2 β- 3 ) -diagnosable at node u and the time complexity of our algorithm to diagnose u is O(α2β+ αβ2). As an application, we show that our algorithm can identify all the faulty nodes of n-dimensional star graph Sn if the faulty node number does not exceed 3 n- 8. Compared with existing algorithms, our algorithm allows more faulty node in a multiprocessor system. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Recently, image forgery has become an alarming trend with the growth of available easy-to-use editing and generation tools. Modern DeepFake methods have achieved extraordinary progress in realistic face manipulation, thus raising concerns among the public about the misuse of such technologies. Unfortunately, with the obnoxiously wide range of possible manipulation and artifact-covering methods, most existing state-of-the-art detection methods lack the generalization capability to handle the output variations. To address this issue, a noticeable shift towards using attention mechanisms has emerged using balanced portions of the latest challenging datasets to detect intra-and inter-spatial relations. Our paper provides a comprehensive analysis of modern deep learning-based methods, showing the benefits of the shift. In addition, we make propositions for future research directions and dataset-building methodology.

Constructing Semantical Structure by Segmentation Integrated Video Embedding for Temporal Action Detection

Video embedding is the pivot in Temporal Action Detection (TAD). Once the video embedding can robustly capture the essence of actions and perceive activities in complex scenes, the TAD model can more accurately localize action boundaries. Currently, video embedding is typically based on rule-based pixel convolution or cube-based transformer, wherein structured semantic information is intertwined, leading to the submergence of crucial spatial semantic information, such as the intrinsic motion of key semantic objects and interactions among semantic objects. To address these limitations, it is imperative to explore alternative approaches. With the remarkable performance of general semantic segmentation models in visual representation, we introduce the general segmentation model SEEM into the video embedding paradigm, constructing a semantically structured representation from perceptual semantics to cognitive semantics. To more effectively utilize SEEM for structured video representation, we designed the Semantic Adapter (Sem-Adapter) as a bridge to connect the two models. Firstly, we design a Self-Motion Module (SMM) to pay attention to the self-motion of key semantic regions. Secondly, we propose a Mutual Relation Module (MRM) to construct the interactions between semantic regions. Extensive experiments on ActivityNet-1.3, THUMOS-14 and EPIC-Kitchens-100 reveal that our method significantly outperforms state-of-the-art methods under the same input modality, and our method improves the average mAP from 60.6% to 64.2% on THUMOS-14 with the same backbone. The proliferation of large-scale applications has led to the generation of vast datasets across diverse scientific domains. The subsequent need to transfer such expansive data across geographical distances is essential for collaborative data storage and analysis. While reserving bandwidth on dedicated links within high-performance networks (HPNs) has proved as an efficient means for such extensive data transfers, certain crucial challenges remain to be investigated. In this paper, we delve into the intricate tradeoff between cost and completion time of data transfers using bandwidth reservation on fixed paths with fixed bandwidth of the HPNs, the most common type of bandwidth reservation or data transfer paths. Our focus centers on the scheduling of two types of bandwidth reservation requests (BRRs) that encapsulate this tradeoff: (i) minimizing data transfer cost within prescribed deadlines, and (ii) achieving the earliest data transfer completion time while adhering to predefined cost constraints. We propose two algorithms to optimize the scheduling of individual BRRs of these two types. We then compare the proposed algorithms with existing ones from the perspective of different performance metrics, and efficacy of the proposed algorithms is verified through extensive simulations.

This paper describes the implementation and evaluation of an RC polyphase filter (RCPF) and circuitry for measuring its frequency characteristics. The integrated circuit is fabricated on a 0.6 µm CMOS process and its supply voltage is 5 V. The integrated circuit includes a filter under test (FUT), a four-phase square wave generator, several analog switches and differential amplifiers to amplify the high-impedance signals of the RCPF. This FUT is a third-order complex RCPF whose passband is 8 − 40 MHz. This paper describes the design of these circuits in detail. This integrated circuit can select two measurement methods by means of external control signals. The first method uses a four-phase square wave. The frequency characteristics are measured by using an on-chip four-phase square wave generator driven by an external clock generator and by a spectrum analyzer tuned to the fundamental frequency. The second method uses an external network analyzer. Furthermore, this integrated circuit is equipped with a calibration circuit to measure the frequency characteristics of the circuitry except FUT by passing through the input / output signals of the FUT. As a result, the frequency characteristics of the FUT itself can be accurately measured. The effectiveness is confirmed through evaluation of the fabricated integrated circuit. © 2025 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.

The Internet of Things (IoTs) have become ubiquitous in all aspects of public needs today. The application of IoT technology is crucial for promoting energy-saving behavior. This paper presents a control system used for smart home devices based on hand gesture control and Android applications. The hardware design uses the ESP32 microcontroller, which has an in-chip Wi-Fi module, making it very suitable for creating IoT application systems. The software was designed using the Arduino IDE, and the application display design was developed using Kodular Creator, which is used to control the lamps and switches. The experiment results show that the electrical equipment can be activated using the Android application with gesture sensors by waving down, up, left, and right.

Human-computer interaction influences the effectiveness of e-learning knowledge transfer, so it is necessary to pay attention to user engagement and achievement. The aim of this research is to examine the factors that support e-learning knowledge transfer through achievement and user engagement (self-efficacy, self-confidence, self-esteem). The research method was carried out by surveying e-learning users, namely students, data from students was collected through quantitative questionnaires. The data is then processed using the SmartPLS tool through two tests, namely the PLS Algorithm and Boostrapping. The model was tested using inner and outer tests, and the data was analyzed based on the research hypothesis design. Student interactions with e-learning influence several behaviors that can support e-learning knowledge transfer performance. The research results prove that student e-learning achievement has a positive impact on e-learning knowledge transfer. Several supporting factors play a role in increasing e-learning achievement, namely self-efficacy, self-confidence and self-esteem of students. However, the supporting factors for students are only self-efficacy and self-confidence which are directly able to increase e-learning knowledge transfer. It is known that students who are less able to respect themselves in interacting with e-learning are unable to support knowledge transfer. The rules of human-computer interaction play a role in supporting e-learning knowledge transfer, studies on user behavior need to be considered, especially self-efficacy and self-confidence to support online learning academic performance. © 2024 IEEE.

the learning algorithm that is not optimal is due to the incomplete use of quantum in the perceptron quantum learning algorithm which is the background of this research. Previous research has shown that the proposed architectural form still needs to increase its probability value to be more optimal. The previous probability was 90.7%. The proposed model is a quantum circuit architecture in a quantum perceptron algorithm consisting of a quantum bit gate. The researchers conducted training and testing of the proposed quantum circuit architecture using quantum computer of the IBM Quantum Experience. This research produces a perceptron quantum architecture model using a quantum circuit that can solve problems regarding data classification. After measuring the proposed quantum circuit architecture, it shows a 100% probability. After training and testing, the probability is 100%, the same as that at the time of measurement. Then it produces the same output of |111100000000000000〉. The resulting probability shows a significant increase from the previous 90, 7%. © 2021 IEEE.
