A vast number of spatiotemporal datasets collected from a wide range of sources has motivated scientists to develop effective approaches to identify interesting patterns hidden in these datasets. In this respect, kernel density estimators, which belong to a class of non-parametric estimators in statistics, have been widely exploited in recent years. With this background, we have developed a novel kernel density estimator aiming to provide accurate analysis results. According to the evaluation with a real spatiotemporal dataset, which collected emergency medical service records in a county in the United States, the proposed kernel density estimator can approximate the probability density function significantly more accurately than a conventional kernel density estimator. Furthermore, we have exploited the proposed kernel density estimator to identify interesting patterns hidden in the real spatiotemporal dataset.

This research is an analysis of the application of the SAW, WP and TOPSIS methods to the support system for decision making at university. The types of scholarships provided are PPA education scholarships given by the Kementerian Riset, Teknologi dan Pendidikan Tinggi. The research variables are the attributes or criteria specified by the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs as contained in the 2018 Academic Achievement Improvement (PPA) guidebook. Decision Support Systems apply the classic FMADM method SAW, WP and TOPSIS. The results of this study are the application of the both methods of SAW and WP produce the same ranking and TOPSIS giving different rankings. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Wireless Body Area Networks (WBANs) are integral components of e-healthcare systems, responsible for monitoring patients' physiological states through intelligent implantable or wearable sensor nodes. These nodes collect medical data, which is then transmitted to remote healthcare facilities for thorough evaluation. Securing medical data within WBANs is paramount due to its central role in preserving patient privacy and confidentiality. Notably, Electrocardiogram (ECG) signals have recently gained prominence as pivotal elements within diverse security frameworks. Incorporating ECG signals strategically enhances the security and reliability of WBANs and broader e-healthcare systems, instilling greater trustworthiness. This survey article provides an in-depth exploration of contemporary ECG-based security schemes, adding to the scholarly discourse. The imperative to categorize these security paradigms revolves around their use of ECG signals. This categorization identifies three key domains: the first involves schemes that utilize ECG signals for cryptographic operations, encompassing key generation, agreement, management, and authentication. The second category employs steganography-based techniques, using ECG signals to conceal patients' sensitive medical data. The third category focuses on enhancing ECG signal security during data transmission. Each category is meticulously elaborated, detailing architectural foundations, notable contributions, and intrinsic security services. Furthermore, each section presents a comprehensive overview of the attributes characterizing ECG-based security frameworks. This includes insights into employed datasets, simulation environments, evaluation metrics, and inherent advantages and limitations. Expanding on this, a thorough analysis of distinctive attributes underpinning these security frameworks concludes by shedding light on potential directions for future research. © 2023 Elsevier Inc.

The purpose of this research was to design, produce and evaluate a stray child warning system. The device has been designed by using 2 ESP8266 boards to receive signals as specified. The system will notify the information via Line Notify to let users know how far the board that acts as a Client is from the board that acts as an Access Point. Expressed in meters (m) in the notification line notify process. The test results of the system in terms of signal transmission between the Access Point and the Client can work well. Buzzer speaker and LED notification light according to the specified distance every time. Notifications to LINE Notify to mobile phones can be done every time.

Internet of Things (IoT) is an environment in which digital equipment is augmented with sensors to share and receive data through network. When devices share data it can be effected by anomalies or any attack due to corrupted data or by any other uncertainty and ambiguity in data. The data can also be corrupted through a damage in device. These attacks or anomalies damage the working of the IoT networks. The anomalous data can be detected through detection techniques however most anomaly detection techniques depend upon labelled data but for IoT datasets, usually class labels are not available. Labeling is performed by a manual process which is time consuming and also costly. As data in IoT increases day by day so there is a need to label and classify data for future unseen data. In this paper a hybrid algorithm is proposed in which both clustering and classification techniques are applied for automatic labeling and classifying on IoT dataset. The model contains two function. In the first phase k-means clustering is employed for labelling dataset instances as normal or anomalous. In the second phase labelled dataset is used to train Random Forest model to detect anomalies in IoT networks. The results show that the proposed model is detecting anomalies in IoT networks with an accuracy 98%, precision 98 %, recall 98%, and F-meausre 0.98%.

With the rapid advancement of electronic textiles, the design and integration of connectors have emerged as pivotal challenges. This study emphasizes the development of a connection solution that amalgamates miniaturization, efficiency, and reliability, specifically tailored for Flexible Conductive Silicone Circuits. A diversified connection scheme is proposed, incorporating elements such as snaps, Pogo pins, and conductive hook-and-loop fasteners, thereby achieving an innovative and pragmatic design. Through meticulous manufacturing processes, including the utilization of hot-melt adhesive, PET films, conductive fabric, and other multilayer materials, a connection system with low impedance and commendable conductivity was successfully engineered. Impedance test outcomes have indicated that the resistance at each connection point is less than 0.7 ohms, substantiating its superior electrical properties. In terms of assembly, this research demonstrates the precise interconnection of the controller and conductive fabric circuit, ensured by metal pin technology, leading to connection stability. This solution not only furnishes appropriate connection technology for specific application scenarios but also opens new avenues and directions for connection design within the domain of electronic textiles.

Fall risk assessment is an effective and simple measure to evaluate the balance of people especially the elderly who are likely to have balance disorder. Lose of body balance increases a fall risk which could lead to severe damage to aging persons. In this paper, we propose to apply pose estimation technique based on PoseNet method to detect body joints from webcam's video for two types of fall risk assessment: Five Times Sit to Stand Test (FTSTS) and 30-Second Chair Stand Test (30CST). The experiments were performed with 17 volunteers concurrently with the measures of a healthcare expert. The results revealed that our proposed technique corresponds well with the measure of the expert evaluating by a Pearson correlation coefficient which equals to 0.903 and 0.980 for FTSTS and 30CST respectively.

Monitoring the quality of river water is of fundamental importance and needs to be taken into consideration when it comes to the research into the hydrological field. In this context, the concentration of the dissolved oxygen (DO) is one of the most significant indicators of the quality of river water. The current study aimed to estimate the minimum, maximum, and mean DO concentrations (DO min, DO max, DO mean) at a gauging station located on Tualatin River, United States. To that end, four machine learning models, such as support vector regression (SVR), multi-layer perceptron (MLP), random forest (RF), and gradient boosting (GB) were established. Root mean square error (RMSE), mean absolute error (MAE), coefficient of correlation (R), and Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency (NSE) metrics were employed to better assess the accuracies of these models. The modeling results demonstrated that the SVR and MLP surpassed the RF and GB models. Despite this, the SVR was concluded to be the best-performing method when used to estimate the DO min, DO max, and DO mean. The best error statistics in the testing phase were related to the SVR model with full (four) inputs to estimate DO mean concentration (RMSE = 0.663 mg/l, MAE = 0.508 mg/l, R = 0.945, NSE = 0.875). Finally, the explainability of the superior models (i.e. SVR models) was conducted using SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) for the first time to estimate DO concentration. In fact, evaluating the explainability of machine learning models can provide useful information about the impact of each of the input estimators used in the procedure of models development. It was concluded that the specific conductance (SC) and followed by water temperature (WT) could provide the most contributions for estimating the DO min, DO max, and DO mean concentrations. © 2024 The Author(s). Full-marathon and Half-marathon distances are categorized as road running. Full-marathon running is becoming increasingly popular, and Half-marathon is increasing worldwide in both sexes and all age groups. Some aspects might relate to Full-marathon and Half-marathon running performance during training and races. technology also plays an essential role in supporting runners and running races. technology like artificial intelligence (AI) now supports the running athlete, not only predicting performance and results. It can also be used later to help the coach generate training programs for the athlete. This research aimed to find many aspects of marathons and performance and analyze them to see if artificial intelligence could later support them. It used secondary data and a systematic literature review proposed by Kitchenham. Out of the 58 articles, 21 of them (36.21%) received a score of 1 from Q1. Additionally, 19 articles (32.76%) received a score of 1 from both Q2 and Q3. Among the 58 articles, 9 (15.52%) received a total score of 3, with all three Q1, Q2, and Q3 scores being 1. This indicates that artificial intelligence will likely support the content of these nine articles. Several factors were also discovered to be connected to marathons and athletic performance. These findings suggested that additional investigation into marathons and performance, later backed by artificial intelligence, remained pertinent and essential.
