Improving The Performance of K-Nearest Neighbor Algorithm by Reducing The Attributes of Dataset Using Gain Ratio

Data that has many attributes or higher dimensions will affect the performance of the K-NN classification algorithm. In this study, the Gain Ratio implemented for selecting and reducing the dataset attributes to form a new dataset for the classification process is carried out with the K-NN. The dataset used in this study are the Breast Cancer Coimbra dataset and Hepatitis C Virus dataset obtained from the UCI Machine Learning Repository. The results showed that the Breast Cancer Coimbra dataset, Gain Ratio can improve the performance of K-NN with average value 0.535596 TPR, TNR = 1, NPV = 0.608279, FNR = 1, FOR = 0.391721, Accuracy = 72.85%. In Hepatitis C Virus dataset also managed to improve the performance of K-NN with average value TPR = 0.665596, TNR = 0,876667, NPV=0,738279, FNR=0,88, FOR=0,521721, and Accuracy=86,25%.

Digital Dictionary of computer and Network Engineering can be used in the learning process of computer and nerwork enginering students. Dictionaries are generally book-shaped is hard to carry because of their thick and heavy, now can be accessed anywhere by development of web technology. Digital dictionaries can be accessed through computers, laptops dan cellphones, this is make student easily in learning process. The digital dictionary can not only be used by students of computer and network engineering, but can also by general public, as long as you have an internet connection, anyone can be use this digital dictionaries. The main process in this digital dictionary is the search process. Binary search algorithm used in the search process of binary search algoritm. Binary search algoritm search is applied to word search in this digital dictionary, because this algoritm is intended for sequintal data. program language that will be used to build this digital dictionary is PHP and MySQL. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Data from the Plantation Office of East Kalimantan Province, the area of rubber plantations has decreased every year. One of the factors that make productivity of rubber plants low is the presence of pests and diseases. The time limit of an expert is an obstacle in identifying rubber plantations. To overcome this problem, we need an expert system that can identify rubber plant diseases such as an expert. This system was developed to be able to provide solutions in diagnosing rubber plant diseases such as White Root Fungus (Rigidoporus micropus), Upas Mushroom Disease (Corticium salmonicolor), Antraknosa Disease (Colletorichum gloeosporoides), Skin Necrosis (Fusarium sp.), And Cancer Lines (Phytoptora palmivore). This study uses the TOPSIS method. There are four variables used as assessment criteria in this study, namely: the level of damage to the root, the level of damage to the stem, the level of damage to the leaves and the level of damage to the tapping path or the intensity of tapping, with preference values from 0 to 100; none, Very Light Intensity (1), Mild Intensity (3), Medium Intensity (5), Weight Intensity (7) and Very Heavy Intensity (9). Each weight value C1= 0.3; C2= 0.22; C3= 0.28; C4= 0.2. The results of this study compare manual calculations and calculations on the system obtained 99.99% accuracy. This system is expected to help facilitate rubber farmers in identifying diseases and can help experts.

TeraHertz (THz) communications can satisfy the high data rate demand with massive bandwidth. However, severe path attenuation and hardware imperfection greatly alleviate its performance. Therefore, we utilize the reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) technology and investigate the RIS-aided THz communications. We first prove that the small-scale amplitude fading of THz signals can be accurately modeled by the fluctuating two-ray distribution based on two THz signal measurement experiments conducted in a variety of different scenarios. To optimize the phase-shifts at the RIS elements, we propose a novel swarm intelligence-based method that does not require full channel estimation. We then derive exact statistical characterizations of end-to-end signal-to-noise plus distortion ratio (SNDR) and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Moreover, we present asymptotic analysis to obtain more insights when the SNDR or the number of RIS's elements is high. Finally, we derive analytical expressions for the outage probability and ergodic capacity. The tight upper bounds of ergodic capacity for both ideal and non-ideal radio frequency chains are obtained. It is interesting to find that increasing the number of RIS's elements can significantly improve the THz communications system performance. For example, the ergodic capacity can increase up to 25% when the number of elements increases from 40 to 80, which incurs only insignificant costs to the system. © 2020, CC BY.

Cryptography is the science and art of maintaining the security of messages when messages are sent from one place to another. One of the ways securing the form of text message information is by the encryption process using the Vigenere Cipher algorithm and utilizing the One Time Pad (OTP) algorithm as a key generator, where the message will be random when it is opened. The message encryption process used the vigenere cipher algorithm while OTP is used to secure the key with the same formula. After this research has been done, an application was designed to secure text messages by converting the text message into a random message so that the message was unreadable due to a secret message that could not be known by others. The results achieved can secure an encrypted message that cannot be reopened and if those messages were reopened, they must be decrypted. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Optical recording of intricate molecular dynamics is becoming an indispensable technique for biological studies, accelerated by the development of new or improved biosensors and microscopy technology. This creates major computational challenges to extract and quantify biologically meaningful spatiotemporal patterns embedded within complex and rich data sources, many of which cannot be captured with existing methods. Here, we introduce activity quantification and analysis (AQuA2), a fast, accurate, and versatile data analysis platform built upon advanced machine-learning techniques. It decomposes complex live-imaging-based datasets into elementary signaling events, allowing accurate and unbiased quantification of molecular activities and identification of consensus functional units. We demonstrate applications across a wide range of biosensors, cell types, organs, animal models, microscopy techniques, and imaging approaches. As exemplar findings, we show how AQuA2 identified drug-dependent interactions between neurons and astroglia, as well as distinct sensorimotor signal propagation patterns in the mouse spinal cord. © 2025 The Author(s)

The purpose of this initiative is to ensure that citizens use social media to access information about the state of the city. Social media application offers benefits in the form of a channel of communication between the community and the government or the group that has public interest. Through this application, the public could channel complaints about public services. Perception becomes the important key for this condition because user action is determined by their perception toward the government e-services. The result of standard measurement for customer satisfaction on government organization is used to help find the weakness of the service and correct it. The interface is made to be more user-friendly to ensure the effective service. So, it is necessary to develop the system continuously. Perceived quality is one of the important determinants of the success of social media application, therefore needs identification of the user's perception and expectations and involving becomes the key to success besides the good quality that will increase the trust and satisfaction of users. Evaluation of social media applications is needed so that it can provide recommendations to the provincial government of DKI Jakarta related to what things can be done to improve community service. © 2018 IEEE.

Security of data text file on a computer can be done by utilizing encryption and decryption techniques. One technique is encryption and decryption of data encryption system text file with cryptography. Cryptography is the science or art to randomize and secure the message to avoid the manipulation of data by performing encryption and decryption on the data of the text file. Cryptographic algorithm consists of several types of one example is the algorithm Rivest Shamir Adleman (RSA). The RSA algorithm is one of asymmetric cryptography technique ie riptografi modern technique that has two keys of the public key used for encryption and a private key techniques to make the process deskripsi. The purpose of this research is to design and implement RSA cryptography algorithm on text file data security. The results of this design is a dekstop based software. This research is expected to provide benefits to the users, individually as well for other organizations.

Inserting data into digital media tends to change the large size of the media cover file, this is because the inserted pixel has a different size from the insertion value, i.e. with a larger or smaller value, for example a pixel value of 10 is inserted with larger or smaller data from the value 10. So that the pixel value is getting further from the value of 10, this causes the value of Mean Squared Error (MSE) of the media of the cover (cover) to become larger. In this study, the selection of pixels in the image is in accordance with the value of the insertion data as the insertion place with the Genetic algorithm (GA). Insertion of data on selected pixels using the GA algorithm is performed using the Modified Least Significant Bit (MLSB) algorithm at the position of the least significant bits. To find out the reliability of the proposed algorithm, the data insertion experiment was carried out by comparing the conventional LSB algorithm with the proposed algorithm where the results obtained a significant MSE value, i.e. the average MSE value of the LSB algorithm was 20.54 and the proposed algorithm was 7.12.

Human Development Index (HDI) is a reference to how far the administration can develops their people. The development of a territory is related to a prosperity of the people. This research is focused on Human Development Index in West Java, a Province of Indonesia. Research identifies variables which are influence and very important to HDI and compares the model of CART and C5.0 algorithm based on HDI concept that has developed by United Nation (UN). Research uses 14 variables which are commonly used for measuring HDI and found that there are two variables that most influencing to HDI, MYS-index and EDU-Index. By knowing the MYS and EDU-Index research can predict and classify each territory to its HDI. Research could be conducted to predict HDI in the other territory. The results evaluated by measuring the accuracy and confusion matrix, 91.35 for CART algorithm and 90.80 for C5.0 algorithm. © 2018 IEEE.
