Traditionally, for the purpose of classifying the integrity of an engineering structure, one may use the information of the natural frequencies or mode shapes or some other measures derived from the two. In this research, we propose a classification method on the basis of the general vibration model. The general vibration model is essentially a set of differential equations describing the dynamics of the structure under consideration. For the purpose of damage detection, a deviation of the general vibration model from the dynamic equilibrium point marks the occurrence of the damage. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the method, we study two simplest dynamical systems consisting of one- and two-concentrated masses subjected to a prescribed dynamic load. The structural damages are introduced artificially by reducing the stiffness of spring in the structures. We find that the general vibration model is more sensitive to damages than the traditional methods.

Global warming due to excessive emission greenhouse gases is a significant issue faced by humanity, and collectively, cars and trucks contribute about 20% to the entire global-warming gases. For a reason, recently, many attempts have been endured to reduce the emission and to increase fuel efficiency, including vehicle platooning, better driving strategy, and increasing engine efficiency. This study intends to provide a more detail assessment regarding the effects of the driving strategy to fuel consumption. For the purpose, the vehicle dynamics are quantified by employing the car-following model based on the optimal velocity model. The fuel consumption is estimated from the regression model of Ahn 18 . The result suggests that the braking distance strongly affects fuel consumption.

Indonesia had been suffered by earthquake and tsunami for many centuries. Since many lives have taken by tsunami strikes, alert and response system are very important as important part of Disaster Risk Reduction, especially in area with high population density. This research conducted in Kangkung fishing village in Bandar Lampung coastal area which is an earthquake and tsunami prone area. The aim of the research is to study alert and response of Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction. The research conducted by qualitative method and purposive-descriptive approach. There were 53 respondents which participated in the survey and interview. It is reported that 'Smart Resilient City' model suitable for community needs of alert and response of earthquake and tsunami disaster. This research meets conclusion that 'Smart Resilient City' model may become a great solution in Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction to cope with the hazard of earthquake and tsunami comprehensively and sustainably.

Data that has many attributes or higher dimensions will affect the performance of the K-NN classification algorithm. In this study, the Gain Ratio implemented for selecting and reducing the dataset attributes to form a new dataset for the classification process is carried out with the K-NN. The dataset used in this study are the Breast Cancer Coimbra dataset and Hepatitis C Virus dataset obtained from the UCI Machine Learning Repository. The results showed that the Breast Cancer Coimbra dataset, Gain Ratio can improve the performance of K-NN with average value 0.535596 TPR, TNR = 1, NPV = 0.608279, FNR = 1, FOR = 0.391721, Accuracy = 72.85%. In Hepatitis C Virus dataset also managed to improve the performance of K-NN with average value TPR = 0.665596, TNR = 0,876667, NPV=0,738279, FNR=0,88, FOR=0,521721, and Accuracy=86,25%.

Data from the Plantation Office of East Kalimantan Province, the area of rubber plantations has decreased every year. One of the factors that make productivity of rubber plants low is the presence of pests and diseases. The time limit of an expert is an obstacle in identifying rubber plantations. To overcome this problem, we need an expert system that can identify rubber plant diseases such as an expert. This system was developed to be able to provide solutions in diagnosing rubber plant diseases such as White Root Fungus (Rigidoporus micropus), Upas Mushroom Disease (Corticium salmonicolor), Antraknosa Disease (Colletorichum gloeosporoides), Skin Necrosis (Fusarium sp.), And Cancer Lines (Phytoptora palmivore). This study uses the TOPSIS method. There are four variables used as assessment criteria in this study, namely: the level of damage to the root, the level of damage to the stem, the level of damage to the leaves and the level of damage to the tapping path or the intensity of tapping, with preference values from 0 to 100; none, Very Light Intensity (1), Mild Intensity (3), Medium Intensity (5), Weight Intensity (7) and Very Heavy Intensity (9). Each weight value C1= 0.3; C2= 0.22; C3= 0.28; C4= 0.2. The results of this study compare manual calculations and calculations on the system obtained 99.99% accuracy. This system is expected to help facilitate rubber farmers in identifying diseases and can help experts.
