Underwater acoustic communications are a hastily growing field of research and engineering, which once were exclusively for military applications are now extending into commercial fields. Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs) appeal the research community, facing challenges as sensor nodes have energy constraint and radio signals are not suitable for underwater wireless communication. This paper explores an Energy Efficient Hybrid Clustering routing protocol (EEHC) for UWSNs, depicted from Depth-Based Energy-Balanced Hybrid (DB-EBH) routing protocol with integrated clustering technique.

The characteristics of underwater sensor networks are unique and they are much different from terrestrial networks but the importance of both cannot be neglected. However it is much more difficult to sustain a workable environment underwater due to its harsh characteristics which make tasks such as batteries replacement, nodes repairing and other similar factors difficult. Thus the need to efficiently utilize the energy of the nodes remain a key aspect in the advancement of Underwater Sensor Networks (UWSNs). Due to reasons as such we present an improved version of DB-EBH which was previously an advancement on EBH. Just like the previous two techniques, IT DB-EBH is also a hybrid network. The nodes are selected on basis of Selection Criteria Phase. Direct transmission is only used when a node cannot identify a neighbor in its transmission range and outside a defined threshold value.

Background:Leptospirosis morbidity and mortality rates in China have decreased since the *** analyses of the spatiotemporal and demographic changes occurring in the last decade and its implication on estimates of disease burden are required to inform intervention *** this study,we quantified the epidemiological shift and geographical heterogeneity in the burden of leptospirosis during 2005-2015 in ***:We used reported leptospirosis case data from 1st January 2005 to 31st of December 2015 that routinely collected by the China information System for Disease Control and Prevention(CISDCP)to analyze the epidemiological trend and estimate the burden in terms of disability-adjusted life-years(DALYs)over space,time,and demographical ***:A total of 7763 cases were reported during *** which,2403(31%)cases were the laboratoryconfirmed *** 2005,the notified incidence rate was gradually decreased(P<0.05)and it was relatively stable during 2011-2015(P>0.05).During 2005-2015,we estimated a total of 10313 DALYs were lost due to leptospirosis comprising a total of 1804 years-lived with disability(YLDs)and 8509 years-life lost(YLLs).Males had the highest burden of disease(7149 DALYs)compared to females(3164 DALYs).The highest burden estimate was attributed to younger individuals aged 10-19 years who lived in southern provinces of *** 2005-2015,this age group contributed to approximately 3078 DALYs corresponding to 30%of the total DALYs lost in ***,our analysis indicated a declining trend in burden estimates(P<0.001)since 2005 and remained relatively low during *** burden estimates have been identified in the endemic regions where infections principally *** of the changes in DALY estimates were driven by changes in ***:In the last 11-years,the burden estimates of leptospirosis have shown a declining trend across the country;however,leptospirosis should not be neglected as it re

Recently, a modified data hiding scheme based on pixel value differencing and improving exploiting modification directions is proposed by Shen and Huang. There are two major contributions in this scheme. One is to enhance the embedding rate and good embedding capacity and the other is an optimization problem used to solve the overflow/ underflow problem. In fact, they propose the similar brute force method to solve overflow/underflow problem in their proposed scheme. To overcome the overflow/underflow problem exactly, we will propose the close form to solve this problem in this paper. Then, an improvement data hiding scheme based on FFEMD (Formula Fully Exploiting Modification Directions) and pixel value differencing method is proposed. According to our analysis, it is not only to keep the advantages of Shen-Huang scheme but also to use the close form to solve the overflow/ underflow problem.

Recent studies indicate that customer awareness of and interest in mobile payments have been increasing. With customers worrying about their personal data being hacked or intercepted, major barriers to adoption are security and privacy risks. We are presenting in this paper the design of a secure scheme for mobile payments which guarantees mutual non-repudiation between the customer, merchant, and banker. With the proposed scheme, a customer can make a payment with the same payword chains of a single account from multiple devices.

Application-oriented underwater wireless sensor networks (UWSNs) are planned to design in such a way that they can monitor and transfer information efficiently. Therefore, quality data routing schemes are required to achieve certain goals. Many routing protocols are designed for application oriented networks. These types of networks require deployment strategies with quality data routing. Application like oil spillage monitoring requires cylindrical deployment of sensor nodes. So, there is a need of proposing new protocols which can minimize and balance the energy consumption of nodes. In our proposed protocol we introduce the energy balancing mechanism for single chain-based routing scheme (SCBS) in cylindrical network to prolong the network lifetime along with increased throughput.

Summary Being the second-largest country in the Middle East, Iran has a long history of civilisation during which several dynasties have been overthrown and established and health-related structures have been reorganised. Iran has had the replacement of traditional practices with modern medical treatments, emergence of multiple pioneer scientists and physicians with great contributions to the advancement of science, environmental and ecological changes in addition to large-scale natural disasters, epidemics of multiple communicable diseases, and the shift towards non-communicable diseases in recent decades. Given the lessons learnt from political instabilities in the past centuries and the approaches undertaken to overcome health challenges at the time, Iran has emerged as it is today. Iran is now a country with a population exceeding 80 million, mainly inhabiting urban regions, and has an increasing burden of non-communicable diseases, including cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes, malignancies, mental disorders, substance abuse, and road injuries.

Gliomas are the most common primary brain malignancies, with different degrees of aggressiveness, variable prognosis and various heterogeneous histologic sub-regions, i.e., peritumoral edematous/invaded tissue, necrotic core, active and non-enhancing core. This intrinsic heterogeneity is also portrayed in their radio-phenotype, as their sub-regions are depicted by varying intensity profiles disseminated across multi-parametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) scans, reflecting varying biological properties. Their heterogeneous shape, extent, and location are some of the factors that make these tumors difficult to resect, and in some cases inoperable. The amount of resected tumor is a factor also considered in longitudinal scans, when evaluating the apparent tumor for potential diagnosis of progression. Furthermore, there is mounting evidence that accurate segmentation of the various tumor sub-regions can offer the basis for quantitative image analysis towards prediction of patient overall survival. This study assesses the state-of-the-art machine learning (ML) methods used for brain tumor image analysis in mpMRI scans, during the last seven instances of the International Brain Tumor Segmentation (BraTS) challenge, i.e., 2012-2018. Specifically, we focus on i) evaluating segmentations of the various glioma sub-regions in pre-operative mpMRI scans, ii) assessing potential tumor progression by virtue of longitudinal growth of tumor sub-regions, beyond use of the RECIST/RANO criteria, and iii) predicting the overall survival from pre-operative mpMRI scans of patients that underwent gross total resection. Finally, we investigate the challenge of identifying the best ML algorithms for each of these tasks, considering that apart from being diverse on each instance of the challenge, the multi-institutional mpMRI BraTS dataset has also been a continuously evolving/growing dataset.
