The purpose of this study is to address the issue of a shortage of caregivers for the elderly in an aging society. Elderly individuals living alone at home may experience various sudden health issues such as falls and emergencies. However, healthcare professionals may not have access to the individuals at that moment. Having access to real-time data can assist medical professionals in making more informed decisions about the patient's conditions. Thus, using FMCW millimeter-wave radar, we track the vital signs of individuals through a non-contact method in point clouds. Additionally, RGB cameras and the human pose estimation tool, OpenPose, are used to monitor and analyze motions and activities in public spaces, detecting special events such as falls and fainting and issuing alerts for immediate rescue to minimize further harm. This approach facilitates the exchange of information between medical professionals and patients, thereby reducing the likelihood of unfortunate incidents and improving patient outcomes. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper proposes a dual-sensor fusion system that combines a Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar and an Intel RealSense RGB+Depth (RGBD) sensor as non-contact physiological signal sensing devices. Through the fusion of point clouds obtained from the dual-sensor system, the spatial information and vital sign signals can be perceived. © 2023 IEEE.

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) focus on reducing inequality, Promoting economic growth, environmental protection, and access to critical services. The latest Multidimensional Poverty Index report shows Thailand's Multidimensional Poverty Index decreased. This paper study analyzes factors that significantly affect the increase in sustainable livelihood potential development based on 37 indicators of the relevant questionnaires. The sample size was 17,536 households from 3,612 villages and 193 districts, covering 20 provinces of Thailand, a region with the lowest Human Achievement Index (HAI). Analyzes and processes the data using structural equation modeling (SEM) statistical methods to confirm the factor structure and indicate appropriateness with empirical data according to the required criteria. The conclusion is that sustainable living potential development includes five dimensions based on 37 indicators of Thailand, with natural capital being the most important, followed by human capital, financial capital, social capital, and physical capital. The research will help community leaders or local agencies prioritize projects or activities to improve the quality of life of people in each locality. To generate a research overview of digital banking, we did a bibliometric analysis. In our bibliometric analysis, we identified 2475 papers about digital banking that were published in the previous 10 years (2013-2023) from 1492 different sources under the direction of 6777 academics. The bibliographic information was gathered using the Scopus database. The dataset was examined using the bibliometric R program Biblioshiny. The number of digital banking research publications published each year, the most relevant author, the most cited articles, thematic maps, and trending topics are all listed. A keyword analysis showed that "blockchain", "security", "digital banking", and "digital storage" appeared most often. The research results will be significant to scholars, researchers, and policymakers in banking, as the study showed the roadmap and pathways to scientifically understanding current and future research trends. © 2023 The Authors. Nowadays, it cannot be denied that social media has been in many parts of people's lives, especially in entertainment, business and education. Public figures including politicians frequently use social platforms to connect with their audience, for example Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok and etc. One of the most commonly used is a platform called Twitter or also known as X. It is a platform that people can share their opinions in short messages. Since there is an alphabet limitation, people can deliver and receive message rapidly. It is a perfect platform that we could use to update the real-time situations for example election, emergency alert, natural disasters and etc. According to its characteristic, it can be used as a data source for social media analytics, which involves collecting and analyzing data to perform business decisions. The social media analytics has become commonplace because the number of people using social media tends to increase every second. Specifically, Twitter sentiment analysis offers a quick and inexpensive tool for monitoring and predictions. In this work, Twitter is used as a data source to monitor and predict Thailand Election in 2023 because this election highly attracts attention from Thais and international. Moreover, Twitter is a significant platform that is used to debate about political events in Thailand. The result of this election potentially indicates Thailand's future, including economics, public health, environment, international relations and etc. Our work performs sentiment analysis to categorize the data and mainly focuses on extracting sentiment from text without considering semantic word relations and co-occurrences because it is appropriate and functional for Thai sentence analysis. This research focuses on the development of a footworn device to assist individuals with limited mobility in walking. The device aims to reduce the risk of accidents by closely monitoring the wearer's movements and detecting potential hazards. It incorporates sensors, including the MPU6050 gyro sensor and KY-031 vibration sensor, to track the wearer's walking behavior. In case of abnormalities, such as falls, the device triggers an auditory alert and notifies the caregiver via LINE Notify. The system is controlled by the Node MCU ESP8266, enabling seamless integration with the Internet of Things (IoT). The objective of this study is to design an IoT system for medical assistance. The researchers created a prototype of a smart ankle device capable of detecting falls and sending notifications to the user's smartphone. The effectiveness of the notification system was evaluated using the Line Notify application. Results demonstrated a successful detection of falls in 48 out of 50 trials, with two instances of false alarms during normal walking. The overall efficiency of the smart ankle device was 98%. In summary, the proposed smart ankle device demonstrates promising potential for various applications in fall detection and safety alert systems. Further improvements and collaborations with healthcare experts are recommended to enhance its performance and make it commercially viable. The device's connectivity and responsiveness to IoT systems are vital aspects to be considered. Future research should aim to develop additional features in collaboration with physiotherapists and healthcare professionals to meet user requirements. The device holds significant benefits in terms of fall detection and safety alerts, and efforts should be made to enhance its durability, robustness, and commercialization prospects. © 2024 IEEE.

Efficiency analysis of China's urban water supply utilities using a dynamic multiactivity network DEA model

Urban water scarcity and severe consumption challenges are crucial for improving performance in the urban water supply industry. Urban Water Supply Utilities (UWSUs) perform the primary task of providing tap water to city residents, and regulators use benchmarks to monitor UWSU operations. To assess the efficiency of UWSUs in detail, this study introduces a dynamic two-stage network data envelopment analysis (DEA) model with shared inputs and shared carryover. This model decomposes UWSU operations into water production (WP) and water distribution (WD) subprocesses. By combining dynamic features with network DEA, the study extends the static network DEA to a more general case for evaluating UWSU efficiency. The study sample includes 246 UWSUs from 24 provinces in China over the period 2016–2018. The analysis covers overall efficiency, period efficiency, subprocess efficiency, and regional disparities among the sampled water utilities. The findings indicate that the average efficiency of the UWSUs was 0.643 during 2016–2018, with slightly lower efficiency in the WP subprocess. UWSUs in the eastern provinces outperformed those in the central and western provinces, which require significant improvements. To enhance the performance of China's water supply sector, accelerated market competition and infrastructure improvements are necessary. © 2024

This research aims to develop a temperature insight: a design thinking approach for room thermometry and monitoring system is the application developed and recording system that meets the needs of nurses in the maternity department. The system's efficiency and user satisfaction with the prototype and wireframes will be evaluated using the mentioned tools and programs. Design Thinking Process for Medication Room Temperature Recording System. The hospital staff's workflow, challenges, and technological preferences provide valuable insights for the design thinking process. In the comprehensive evaluation of user satisfaction pertaining to the design aspects of the temperature measurement device, temperature recording systems, and report formats, a discernible pattern of consistently high to very high satisfaction ratings emerges. Notably, each evaluated category garnered a satisfaction score of 4.40 or above. This work aims to develop an elderly assistance system using voice commands by applying speech recognition technology. The system is designed to enhance convenience for elderly individuals and also reduce labor costs associated with hiring caregivers. It leverages the principles of the Internet of Things (IoT) to control various household electrical devices through voice commands. Through Natural Language Processing (NLP), the system processes natural language to interpret voice commands, allowing users to control lighting, open applications, make phone calls, and more. The researchers utilized a Confusion Matrix model to measure the accuracy of the voice command recognition system. It assessed whether the system correctly interpreted the voice commands issued by users. The testing, conducted with a group of individuals aged 55-60, revealed an accuracy rate of 85%. This demonstrates the system's effectiveness and potential to augment the independence of elderly individuals. In essence, this work presents a voice-command assistance tool that combines speech recognition and IoT, promising enhanced convenience for the elderly and potential savings in caregiving expenses. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents an approach for color detection and segmentation based on Image Processing Process to retrieve candidate regions of GHS Sign. For color classification, where the dimension of each vector can be extended by a group of neighboring pixels. The experimental results are highly accurate and robust for our testing database, where samples are recorded on various states of environment. But in the meantime, it was found that the error processing. It is an image that looks asymmetrical image. It is impossible to detect the symbol GHS. © 2023 IEEE.
