This research aimed to design, produce, and assess a snoring detection neck pillow for elderly individuals with snoring symptoms. The research process began with finding information on snoring. The data obtained were used to design a snore detection neck pillow in the form of a U-shaped neck pillow. The functional principle was that when the microphone module detects the snoring sound, it activates a vibrating motor to alert the snorer to awake or change sleeping positions and stop snoring. There was a program to control the operation. The results of the snoring detection neck pillow test with a sample size of 20 people showed an average efficiency of 80%. © 2023 IEEE.

In this research, the design of the earthworm rearing house was presented. Internet of Things, in which the research has designed houses and various equipment to be designed. The results showed that the traditional way of raising earthworms by walking to check the humidity in the cultured basin by touching and regularly watering compared to using the IOT system to measure the moisture. And there is a notification when the humidity drops below or above the specified threshold. and has an automatic watering system when the humidity is below a specified threshold It was found that the IOT-based method was more productive than the traditional method. © 2023 IEEE.

This article describes the architecture of software services that provide registration of small boat data to build maritime safety. The proposed system architecture which so-called SIMKAPEL aims to support small boat registration for maritime safety. It is developed from a conventional service-oriented architecture (SOA) with an open standard for data interoperability between elements. The goal of this research is to implement and evaluate the proposed architecture to support small boat registration and e-certification. Several parts of the architecture have been implemented as a platform that provides core services and data sources to be used by Ministry of Transportation, Directorate General of Sea Transportation, and other government agencies. Finally, the proposed SIMKAPEL platform with the SOA architecture is evaluated for its benefits to users through the expert opinion survey to measure its efficiency. The analysis results showed that SOA-based SIMKAPEL is feasible to use as a boat e-certification system. Furthermore, experiment results provide three parameters (e.g., maritime safety, namely, cargo/passengers, boat safety facilities, and maritime safety systems) with efficiency values of 42%, 46%, and 42%, respectively. The parameter with the highest efficiency shows a big effect on the level of safety of the boat and passengers. Thus, the parameters that need to be prioritized and need boat owners’ attention are cargo/passenger, boat safety equipment, and maritime safety system. © 2023, The Author(s).

The concept of Digital Twin has been widely used by researchers to represent physical entities in computer-generated reality in the metaverse. In this research, a novel concept of 'Mobile Twin' is coined. Mobile Twin serves as a replica of a mobile device in the virtual environment enabling communication. The purpose of introducing Mobile Twin in the metaverse is to bring mobility and benefits similar to tangible mobile devices while eliminating the need for individual energy sources, storage limitations, resource usage, and efficiency. The true benefits of a mobile twin can be achieved with an architecture where computing nodes are decentralized, data processing is near the network's edge with faster response times and reduced latency. For this purpose, the mobile twin-based applications of metaverse are built over edge computing-based network architecture. This idea introduced the aspect of 'Revolutionary Ultra-low latency (RULL)' in the metaverse. © 2024 IEEE.

The new era of integrating robots with artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things has provided huge potential for service robots to play important roles in our daily lives. Therefore, it is interesting to investigate whether a robot should have a separate device to incorporate digital content or use its face to toggle between facial expressions and digital content. From the human–robot interface (HRI) design perspective, a robot with a tablet obviously is closer to a real human teacher using a tablet while teaching students in a classroom. However, limited research has been done to explore such HRI design and its impacts on human behaviours. A robot-facilitated storytelling learning system was developed in this study to evaluate the impact of HRI design on college students’ learning behaviours in two different conditions: ‘Robot with Tablet’ or ‘Robot only’. The results revealed that both learning conditions of HRI design benefited college students from knowledge acquisition of vocabulary and comprehension of story content. Furthermore, ‘Robot only’ which is more cost-effective was found to be as good as that of ‘Robot with Tablet’ for the students in terms of knowledge acquisition, cognitive load and learning fatigue. © 2022 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

This research presents a classification between spam and non-spam messages by removing duplicate sentences or words. meaningless word and various marks The data is then classified by machine learning techniques and compared by differences between the data sets. Quantitative transformations were performed on each model to find the most efficient model. which can filter spam messages efficiently and quickly By getting the best comparison results in terms of information. quantitative conversion and model use The experimental results showed that Of all the tests, the model that performed best was Random Forest, with an average accuracy of 97 © 2023 IEEE.

Aim/Purpose Traditional research methodology education faces challenges in developing student self-efficacy and integrating modern technology, necessitating innovative instructional approaches for graduate students. Background This study introduces the BEST model (begin with learner analysis, establish clear learning objectives, select engaging learning activities, and tailor instruction using technology) to address these challenges through systematic TPACK integration. Methodology A qualitative investigation was conducted with 10 graduate students through focus groups and in-depth interviews over one month, analyzed using narrative and content analysis approaches. Contribution Content analysis revealed improvements in self-efficacy (from four to eight participants), peer learning (from three to six), and critical thinking (from three to six) while maintaining active learning engagement throughout implementation. Findings Students showed significant improvements in self-efficacy (four to eight participants), peer learning (three to six), and critical thinking (three to six) while maintaining active learning engagement. Recommendations for Practitioners Institutions should implement robust technical support systems and flexible learning pathways while ensuring adequate infrastructure before adoption. A phased implementation approach with peer mentoring is recommended to address technology integration challenges. Recommendations for Researchers Future research should examine the BEST model’s effectiveness across different cultural contexts and disciplines through comparative and longitudinal studies while exploring the integration of emerging educational technologies. Impact on Society The BEST model enhances the quality of graduate research education by developing students’ confidence and competence, potentially leading to more capable researchers and improved research outcomes. Diagnosability is an important parameter to measure the fault tolerance of a multiprocessor system. If we only care about the state of a node, instead of doing the global diagnosis, Hsu and Tan proposed the idea of local diagnosis. Chiang and Tan provided an extended star structure to diagnose a node under comparison model. In this work, we evaluate the local diagnosability better by proposing a tree structure around this node. We provide the corresponding algorithm to diagnose the node. Simulation results are presented for different failure probability of a node in the tree and different percentage of faulty nodes in the tree, showing the performance of our algorithm. © 2024 Institute of information science. In this research, the system that detects administrative behavior, credit card and developing corruption from credit cards through LINE applications. The objective of this research 1) To develop a risk notification system or suspect to be corruption of credit cards through the connection channels of LINE application 2) to measure the accuracy of the system developed. As for the notification to prevent the risk of credit card corruption The research methods are divided into 5 steps, namely Step 1, Step System analysis. The results of the measurement of the correct conditions are as good as 80 percent and the performance measurement of time is in The criteria is as good as 86.67 percent. programming ability is the core ability of this era and can be obtained and improved through practice. In this paper, an Automated programming Assessment system based on Mastery learning and Peer competition (APAMP) was proposed and developed. APAMP allows students to practice repeatedly by providing immediate feedback after their programs are submitted. It also presents an analytical dashboard as a competition mechanism for students to visualize their learning performance and compare their performance with peers. By incorporating APAMP into programming courses, students can master programming skills through repeated practice, and their enthusiasm for learning programming can also be encouraged by peer competition. To evaluate the effects of APAMP on the learning performance of students with programming language learning and novice students, a quasi-experiment was conducted in a high school. The experimental results showed that the learning achievement of the two groups of students improved significantly. Moreover, the learning attitude of students in the experienced group improved significantly, with the experienced students benefiting more from the system than the novice students. In fact, the novice students showed a significant decline in learning attitude and learning motivation, which was contrary to our intuition. © 2021 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.
