Human-computer interaction influences the effectiveness of e-learning knowledge transfer, so it is necessary to pay attention to user engagement and achievement. The aim of this research is to examine the factors that support e-learning knowledge transfer through achievement and user engagement (self-efficacy, self-confidence, self-esteem). The research method was carried out by surveying e-learning users, namely students, data from students was collected through quantitative questionnaires. The data is then processed using the SmartPLS tool through two tests, namely the PLS Algorithm and Boostrapping. The model was tested using inner and outer tests, and the data was analyzed based on the research hypothesis design. Student interactions with e-learning influence several behaviors that can support e-learning knowledge transfer performance. The research results prove that student e-learning achievement has a positive impact on e-learning knowledge transfer. Several supporting factors play a role in increasing e-learning achievement, namely self-efficacy, self-confidence and self-esteem of students. However, the supporting factors for students are only self-efficacy and self-confidence which are directly able to increase e-learning knowledge transfer. It is known that students who are less able to respect themselves in interacting with e-learning are unable to support knowledge transfer. The rules of human-computer interaction play a role in supporting e-learning knowledge transfer, studies on user behavior need to be considered, especially self-efficacy and self-confidence to support online learning academic performance. © 2024 IEEE.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the quality of secretarial, financial and staffing information systems at the Directorate General of AHU, known as the E-PASTI system. There are two variables analysed, namely system quality and information quality. Data collection using questionnaires that distributed to 123 employees who used the E-PASTI system but returned 93 questionnaires. Data quality analyst uses descriptive quantitative method. The results of the study are several conditions related to the system and information quality of E-PASTI. The quality can be a reference for the AHU Directorate General to improve the quality of E-PASTI that suits the needs of employees. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The purpose of this study is to address the issue of a shortage of caregivers for the elderly in an aging society. Elderly individuals living alone at home may experience various sudden health issues such as falls and emergencies. However, healthcare professionals may not have access to the individuals at that moment. Having access to real-time data can assist medical professionals in making more informed decisions about the patient's conditions. Thus, using FMCW millimeter-wave radar, we track the vital signs of individuals through a non-contact method in point clouds. Additionally, RGB cameras and the human pose estimation tool, OpenPose, are used to monitor and analyze motions and activities in public spaces, detecting special events such as falls and fainting and issuing alerts for immediate rescue to minimize further harm. This approach facilitates the exchange of information between medical professionals and patients, thereby reducing the likelihood of unfortunate incidents and improving patient outcomes.

Lilies are popular in the global flower market, but consumers often lack information about specific varieties. To address this issue, this paper proposes a computer recognition platform based on the Vision Transformer (ViT) architecture. The proposed platform uses an improved vision transformer (ViT) architecture to classify different types of lilies, allowing consumers to access information and names of various Lilium species. The experimental results show that the proposed lily classification model achieved a 96.4% accuracy rate in classifying six lily species.

In the era of the global village, frequent cross-border trade in goods has made container transportation a significant part in delivery of cargo. However, rollover accidents of container trucks often occur because of tall truck height, improper cargo stowage or crooked roads. Therefore, how to find the optimal center of gravity (CG) of the packed cargo remains an issue that the transportation industry should not neglect. To optimize cargo stability and reduce the incidence of rollovers, this paper proposes a genetic algorithm that scores the cargo stacking process to find the best CG of the cargo based on the CG of the vehicle. According to the deviation angle and the point closest to the best CG, we can Figure out the optimal cargo stacking method. © 2022 IEEE.

Research on the use of augmented reality technology in museums is mostly limited to scientific knowledge. The use of wearable device technology learning materials to benefit students in the process of English learning has been somewhat explored, along with differences in students' learning styles and their influence on students' learning motivation, but there remains much to be done in this field. This study explored the learning effect of smart glasses integration into the English language dinosaur exhibition at the Museum of Natural science and investigated their impact on motivation. The experimental group used smart glasses learning strategy to facilitate their learning experience, whereas the control group used a tablet learning strategy. The research results show that: 1) Learning effectiveness and motivation were significantly superior when using smart glasses learning strategy, as compared to using a tablet learning strategy when learning through the English language situated exploration game. 2) The interaction between different learning strategies and learning styles had a significant impact on learning effectiveness. In the smart glasses learning strategy group and the tablet learning strategy group, the learning effectiveness of the kinesthetic students was significantly higher than those of the auditory students. The learning effectiveness of the visual students using the tablet learning strategy was higher than auditory students. 3) The interaction between different learning strategies and learning styles had no significant effect on learning motivation. In terms of learning motivation, visual students were more affected than auditory and kinesthetic students. © 2008-2011 IEEE.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the factors affecting the passenger traffic volume on the high-capacity MRT, to analyze the traffic volume trends, and to make traffic volume predictions more accurately. This paper uses the LSTM (Long Short-term Memory) model and regression analysis for Taipei MRT passenger traffic volume prediction. The training data, including dates, temperatures and number of passengers, were collected, and a regression analysis was performed to find trends in the data. © 2022 IEEE.

Computational music research plays a critical role in advancing music production, distribution, and understanding across various musical styles in the world. Despite the immense cultural and religious significance, the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church (EOTC) chants are relatively underrepresented in computational music research. This paper contributes to this field by introducing a new dataset specifically tailored for the analysis of EOTC chants, also known as Yaredawi Zema. This work provides a comprehensive overview of a 10-hour dataset, 369 instances, creation, and curation process, including rigorous quality assurance measures. Our dataset has a detailed word-level temporal boundary and reading tone annotation along with the corresponding chanting mode label of audios. Moreover, we have also identified the chanting options associated with multiple chanting notations in the manuscript by annotating them accordingly. Our goal in making this dataset available to the public1 is to encourage more research and study of EOTC chants, including lyrics transcription, lyric-to-audio alignment, and music generation tasks. Such research work will advance knowledge and efforts to preserve this distinctive liturgical music, a priceless cultural artifact for the Ethiopian people. © 2024, CC BY.

Joint green dynamic order batching and picker routing problem using PSO with global worst experience

With the increasing importance of various countries’ initiatives on reducing carbon emissions (e.g., carbon border adjustment mechanism, CBAM), intelligent order picking systems have assisted electronic retailers in realizing a green supply chain. Previous studies on picker routing operations focused on adopting offline static customer order information to carry out operational decisions. However, in practice, the customer order information is updated dynamically;and high-efficiency warehouse layouts have been increasingly concerned. Therefore, this study creates a mixed-integer programming model for minimizing both the total carbon footprint and the total penalty cost for delayed orders in the joint order batching and picker routing problem with dynamic arriving orders and shipping time constraints in a high-efficiency fishbone warehouse layout. To solve this complex problem, a particle swarm optimization algorithm that integrates the swarm's previous global and local worst experiences and a migration mechanism is further proposed to increase solution quality and computing efficiency. In addition, a three-dimensional space for the warehouse floorplan and shipping time constraints is designed to divide orders into batches to address the constraints. Theoretical analysis of this algorithm is conducted, and experimental analysis shows that this algorithm finds superior solutions than current practical strategies, to offer a valuable reference for carbon emission reduction in greening warehousing. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.

Innovative safety in the workplace is vital as the high safety risks associated with electrical engineering construction can lead to injuries or even fatalities. Using computer vision technology, we experimented with scenarios such as “normal operations” and “unexpected incidents” to enhance safety measures. We integrated an Internet of Things system into the setup, enabling the system to quickly detect and alert to unexpected events in real-time, thereby improving workplace safety.
