Introducing compressive sensing theory to solve multiple targets localization problem is a promising method by only considering received signal's power. In previous researches, the targets are assumed to be positioned into an regular mesh grid and restoration model according to compressive underdetermined equation is built to recover the positions of unknown targets. However, it is inconvenient to arrange sensors on grids in practice and the recovered locations were bound to grid points that may deviate the target positions comparing to the real ones. In this paper, we propose a Delaunay triangulation grid generation algorithm through randomly deployed sensors' positions. Moreover, a sparse position vector diversity combining algorithm, based on OMP, is also been proposed. It lowers the possibility of the emergence of the false locations and greatly improves the accuracy of targets' positions.

Electronic modulation on the inert basal plane of transition-metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)through vacancy defect excitation,although extremely challenging,is urgent for understanding the factors that impact the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)catalytic ***,ultrathin WS2 nanosheets with precise quantitative single atomic S-vacancy on the inert basal plane were flexible prepared through hydrogen peroxide etching *** as-synthesized single atomic S-vacancy defect WS2(SVD-WS2)nanoflake with the activated basal plane exhibited an impressive overpotential of 137 mV at a current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2) and a Tafel slope of 53.9 mV dec^(-1).Furthermore,anchoring on the defect graphene matrix,the assembled two-dimensional(2D)stacking heterojunction exhibits further enhanced HER catalytic activity(an overpotential of 108 mV vs.10 mA·cm^(-2) and a Tafel slope of 48.3 mV·dec^(-1))and stability(〜10%decline after 9,000 cycles),which attributed to the electronic structure modulation from the synergetic interactions between SVD-WS_(2) and defect *** finding provides a smart defects introduce strategy to trigger high-efficiency hydrogen evolution over WS_(2) nanosheets and a general 2D heterojunctions fabricated inspiration based on strong interaction interface.

Since gold prices influence international economic and monetary systems, numerous studies have been conducted to forecast gold prices. Nonetheless, studies employing the linear relationship method usually fail to explain the change in the pattern of the gold price. This study introduces a new paradigm that incorporates association rules and long short-term memory (LSTM) as a nonlinear-based method. For simulation, the proposed method was analyzed with data from Yahoo Finance from January 2010 to December 2020. The association rule was used to choose features relevant to the gold spot (GS) in the US Dollar Index (DXY). The LSTM forecast the gold price with a range of hyperparameter settings. The simulation results showed that the proposed method—the LSTM with GS and DXY, or LSTM-GS-DXY—resulted in low mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) metrics. In addition, the proposed LSTM-GS-DXY system outperformed the simple moving average (SMA), weight moving average (WMA), exponential moving average (EMA), and auto-regressive integrated moving average (ARIMA). © 2022 River Publishers.

This work presents EddyNet, a deep learning based architecture for automated eddy detection and classification from Sea Surface Height (SSH) maps provided by the Copernicus Marine and Environment Monitoring Service (CMEMS). EddyNet consists of a convolutional encoder-decoder followed by a pixel-wise classification layer. The output is a map with the same size of the input where pixels have the following labels {'0': Non eddy, '1': anticyclonic eddy, '2': cyclonic eddy}. Whittaker-Shannon interpolation formula instead of narrowband filter (NF) is used to interpolate the signal more precisely in wideband direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation problem when the number of samples is highly limited. A novel algorithm named block FOCal Underdetermined System Solver (BFOCUSS) is proposed to solve this problem. The simulation results validate the superior performance compared with the other algorithms.

Federated learning(FL) enables distributed clients to collaboratively train a machine learning model without sharing raw data with each other. However, it suffers from the leakage of private information from uploading models. In addition, as the model size grows, the training latency increases due to the limited transmission bandwidth and model performance degradation while using differential privacy(DP)protection. In this paper, we propose a gradient sparsification empowered FL framework with DP over wireless channels, to improve training efficiency without sacrificing convergence performance. Specifically, we first design a random sparsification algorithm to retain a fraction of the gradient elements in each client's local model, thereby mitigating the performance degradation induced by DP and reducing the number of transmission parameters over wireless channels. Then, we analyze the convergence bound of the proposed algorithm, by modeling a non-convex FL problem. Next, we formulate a time-sequential stochastic optimization problem for minimizing the developed convergence bound, under the constraints of transmit power, the average transmitting delay, as well as the client's DP requirement. Utilizing the Lyapunov drift-plus-penalty framework, we develop an analytical solution to the optimization problem. Extensive experiments have been implemented on three real-life datasets to demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm. We show that our proposed algorithms can fully exploit the interworking between communication and computation to outperform the baselines, i.e., random scheduling, round robin, and delay-minimization algorithms.

With the easy access to cloud technologies and rich applications, more people tend to store their data in cloud. However, the data in the cloud have to face the privacy and security challenges. To enforce the privacy and security protection of data in the cloud, Slice-based Secure Data Storage in Multi-Cloud Environment (SSDS-MC) is proposed in this paper. Specifically, user data are divided into multiple slices, which are stored separately into different cloud. The advantages of SSDS-MC are two-fold: i) each cloud service provider does not have all the slices of the user data and thus cannot retrieve the full user data by the slice stored in his cloud, which can further protect the privacy and security of user data; ii) each slice can be duplicated and uploaded to multiple cloud, which improve the availability of data in case the slice gets lost or damaged in one place.

Two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) have been widely used due to their excellent nonlinear optical properties. To enhance the optical nonlinearity of TMDs, some van der Waals heterostructures have been designed and the carrier dynamics plays a key role in the nonlinear response. In this paper, the optical nonlinearity of molybdenum disulfide/tungsten disulfide (MoS2/WS2) heterostructures were investigated by a nanosecond laser Z-scan technology, and an enhanced saturable absorption (SA) behavior was founded in heterostructures. Using the femtosecond time-resolved transient absorption measurements, the carrier dynamics in the nonlinear response, as well as the enhancement mechanism of the heterostructures were further clarified. © 2023, The Authors.
