Recent advancements in AI have spurred interest in ferroelectric memristors for neuromorphic chips due to their ability to precisely control resistive states through polarization flip-flop without electroforming. However, oxygen vacancies in these devices often cause high leakage current, low endurance, and dispersed switching voltages. Here, we introduce a silicon-based integrated (Ba_0.6Sr_0.4TiO₃)_0.5(Nd₂O₃)_0.5 (BSTN) nanoscaffolded ferroelectric thin film memristor with a vertically self-assembled nanocomposite structure (VSNs) optimally oriented on La_0.67Sr_0.33MnO₃/SrTiO₃/P[sbnd]Si substrates. This device demonstrates a widely tunable ferroelectric domain range (0°–180°), high remnant polarization (21.04 μC/cm²), and a greater number of unitary states (16 states or 4 bits). It exhibits high durability, enduring over 10⁹ switching cycles. The switching mechanism combines ferroelectric polarization and oxygen vacancy migration, enabling the simulation of biological synaptic functions via bi-directional conductance tunability. Additionally, we implemented a low-power (0.57 pJ per event) multi-factor secure encryption system for smart locks using 16×16 BSTN memristor crossbar arrays and a pressure sensor. Under multiple factors (disordered inputs, specific users, and corresponding passwords) the system recognized passwords with 97.6% accuracy and a 3.8% loss rate after 500 iterations. Overall, this work establishes a robust foundation for advancing multilevel storage, neuromorphic computing, and AI chip applications based on ferroelectric memristors. © 2025 The Authors

Matched Filter Based Spectrum Sensing When Primary User Has Multiple Power Levels

In this paper,we investigate the matched filter based spectrum sensing in a more reasonable cognitive radio(CR) scenario when the primary user(PU) has more than one transmit power levels,as regulated in most standards,i.e.,IEEE 802.11 Series,GSM,LTE,LTE-A,*** new multiple primary transmit power(MPTP) scenario is specialized by two different targets:detecting the presence of PU and identifying the power *** to the traditional binary sensing where only the presence of PU is checked,SU may attain more information about the primary network(making CR more "intelligent") and design the subsequent optimization *** key technology is the multiple hypothesis testing as opposed to the traditional binary hypothesis *** discuss two situations under whether the channel phase is known or not,and we derive the closed form solutions for decision regions and several performance metrics,from which some interesting phenomenons are observed and the related discussions are *** examples are provided to corroborate the proposed studies.

Holographic multiple-input and multiple-output (HMIMO) is a promising technology with the potential to achieve high energy and spectral efficiencies, enhance system capacity and diversity, etc. In this work, we address the challenge of HMIMO near field (NF) channel estimation, which is complicated by the intricate model introduced by the dyadic Green's function. Despite its complexity, the channel model is governed by a limited set of parameters. This makes parametric channel estimation highly attractive, offering substantial performance enhancements and enabling the extraction of valuable sensing parameters, such as user locations, which are particularly beneficial in mobile networks. However, the relationship between these parameters and channel gains is nonlinear and compounded by integration, making the estimation a formidable task. To tackle this problem, we propose a novel neural network (NN) assisted hybrid method. With the assistance of NNs, we first develop a novel hybrid channel model with a significantly simplified expression compared to the original one, thereby enabling parametric channel estimation. Using the readily available training data derived from the original channel model, the NNs in the hybrid channel model can be effectively trained offline. Then, building upon this hybrid channel model, we formulate the parametric channel estimation problem with a probabilistic framework and design a factor graph representation for Bayesian estimation. Leveraging the factor graph representation and unitary approximate message passing (UAMP), we develop an effective message passing-based Bayesian channel estimation algorithm. Extensive simulations demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed method. © 2025 IEEE.

A Novel 3D Video Fingerprinting Algorithm Based on Local Feature Points

Digital rights management of the 3 D contents is a crucial open issue in the 3 D video industry. A novel robust fingerprinting algorithm is proposed for protecting the copyright of the 3 D video. Unlike the existing algorithms extracting visual features separately from the 2 D videos and the depth maps, in our algorithm a novel local stereo space is constructed according to the depth information of the pixels around the extracted local feature points in the 2 D videos, and the 3 D videos are processed in a holistic manner. In the proposed space,the 3 D-transform-feature is extracted and aggregated into a feature matrix, and then the compact 3 D video fingerprints are obtained from the eigenspace of the matrix. Our comprehensive experiments are conducted on a 3 D video database, and the results have demonstrated the robustness and discrimination of the proposed algorithm. Moreover, our fingerprints cost less storage spaces than the existing approaches.

Three dimension Multi processors System-on-Chip (3D-MPSoCs) hold promises to allow the development of compact and efficient devices. They support many applications on the same die, able of being mapped dynamically during the execution time. Each application may have different communication requirements. Quality-of-Service (QoS) can be implemented at the communication structure (CS) to support the communication requirements of the dynamic 3D-MPSoC. Our work proposes QoS 3D-HoC, a new 3D-CS that implements the QoS. We evaluate the performance of our architecture over several 3D-MPSoC synthetic and real traffic scenarios and estimate their impact overall CS performance. We compare our architecture against the previous 3D-CS with and without QoS and show that our approach meets the communication requirements while reducing the latency and power up to 87% and 39%, respectively when compared to single 3D-NoC. © 2013 IEEE.

Cognitive Internet of Vehicles(CIoV)can improve spectrum utilization by accessing the spectrum licensed to primary user(PU)under the premise of not disturbing the PU’s ***,the traditional static spectrum access makes the CIoV unable to adapt to the various spectrum *** this paper,a reinforcement learning based dynamic spectrum access scheme is proposed to improve the transmission performance of the CIoV in the licensed spectrum,and avoid causing harmful interference to the *** frame structure of the CIoV is separated into sensing period and access period,whereby the CIoV can optimize the transmission parameters in the access period according to the spectrum decisions in the sensing *** both detection probability and false alarm probability,a Q-learning based spectrum access algorithm is proposed for the CIoV to intelligently select the optimal channel,bandwidth and transmit power under the dynamic spectrum states and various spectrum sensing *** simulations have shown that compared with the traditional non-learning spectrum access algorithm,the proposed Q-learning algorithm can effectively improve the spectral efficiency and throughput of the CIoV as well as decrease the interference power to the PU.

Through-Silicon-Vias (TSVs) are the key enabling technology for high performance of three-dimension Multi-processor System-on-Chip (3D-MPSoC). Physical weaknesses of TSVs can be exploited by malicious software to attack the system. By means of the manipulation of the TSV communication an attacker is able to modify, spy and even denial the TSV communication. Extending just 2D security mechanisms to 3D-MPSoC without taking into account the 3D aspects will not protect the system. In this paper we propose 3D-SECTSV, a flexible and efficient security architecture based on a 3D-NoC communication structure able to protect the TSV data exchange of 3D-MPSoCs. We compare our approach with several 3D-protection proposals, including the simple extension of 2D security countermeasures. We show that our solution outperforms other approaches with respect to attack detection while decreasing cost and performance impact on the system. © 2015 IEEE.

Quaternion Approach to Solve Coupled Nonlinear Schr(o)dinger Equation and Crosstalk of Quarter-Phase-Shift-Key Signals in Polarization Multiplexing Systems

The quaternion approach to solve the coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations (CNSEs) in fibers is proposed, converting the CNSEs to a single variable equation by using a conception of eigen-quaternion of coupled quaternion. The crosstalk of quarter-phase-shift-key signals caused by fiber nonlinearity in polarization multiplexing systems with 100 Gbps bit-rate is investigated and simulated. The results demonstrate that the crosstalk is like a rotated ghosting of input constellation. For the 50 km conventional fiber link, when the total power is less than 4 mW, the crosstalk effect can be neglected; when the power is larger than 20 mW, the crosstalk is very obvious. In addition, the crosstalk can not be detected according to the output eye diagram and state of polarization in Poincaré sphere in the trunk fiber, making it difficult for the monitoring of optical trunk link.
