Quaternion Approach to Solve Coupled Nonlinear Schr(o)dinger Equation and Crosstalk of Quarter-Phase-Shift-Key Signals in Polarization Multiplexing Systems

The quaternion approach to solve the coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations (CNSEs) in fibers is proposed, converting the CNSEs to a single variable equation by using a conception of eigen-quaternion of coupled quaternion. The crosstalk of quarter-phase-shift-key signals caused by fiber nonlinearity in polarization multiplexing systems with 100 Gbps bit-rate is investigated and simulated. The results demonstrate that the crosstalk is like a rotated ghosting of input constellation. For the 50 km conventional fiber link, when the total power is less than 4 mW, the crosstalk effect can be neglected; when the power is larger than 20 mW, the crosstalk is very obvious. In addition, the crosstalk can not be detected according to the output eye diagram and state of polarization in Poincaré sphere in the trunk fiber, making it difficult for the monitoring of optical trunk link. MPSoCs are able to support multiple applications on the same chip. This flexibility also represents a vulnerability, turning the MPSoC security specially challenging. Most of the current MPSoCs security services are based on symmetric and public-key cryptographic mechanisms. So that, MPSoCs integrate a large set of keys that must be exchanged in an efficient and secure way. In such scenario, any security concept will be ineffective if the key management is weak. In this paper, we present the implementation of an on-chip hybrid communication (HoCs) security-based architecture, that combines bus and Network-on-chip (NoC), to address the efficient and secure key management at MPSoCs. The HoC implements dynamically the QoSS (Quality of Security Service) concept that allows the customization of security. We evaluate the effectiveness of our approach over several MPSoCs attack scenarios and estimate their impact on the overall performance. We show that our architecture can perform a fast detection of a wide range of attacks and a fast configuration of the different security policies for several MPSoC applications. Our hybrid approach saves upto 16% and 25% of communication latency and power consumption, respectively, when compared to the NoC-based architecture without any security. ©2012 IEEE.

MPSoCs have been proposed as a promising architecture choice to overcome the challenging embedded electronics requirements, characterized by tights development times and fast evolution of applications. The MPSoC flexibility, also represents a system vulnerability. As security requirements vary dramatically for different applications, the challenge is to provide MPSoC security that allows a trustworthy system that meets all the security requirements of such applications. NoC has become an attractive alternative to support the MPSoC communication requirements. Our work proposes the implementation of dynamic security architecture to overcome present MPSoC vulnerabilities. We integrate agile and dynamic security firewalls into the NoC in order to detect attacks based on different security rules. We evaluate the effectiveness of our approach over several MPSoCs scenarios and estimate their impact on the overall performance. We show that our architecture can perform a fast detection of a wide range of attacks and a fast configuration of the different security policies for several MPSoC applications. © 2011 ACM.

In this paper,we study an iterative beamforming scheme for downlink multiuser *** sum-rate of the system can be maximized by weighted sum-rate maximization ***,the interference of leakage signal is not considered in this *** propose a new metric named leakage sum-rate(LSR) to treat leakage ***,the leakage sum-rate maximization is modeled by the power budget constraint of base *** optimization problem can be transformed to an equivalent weighted mean-square error minimization(WMMSE) problem and an iterative algorithm is proposed to solve *** the algorithm,weighted factors,transmit and receive beamformers are updated *** proposed algorithm outperforms the SLNR maximizing algorithm in terms of the system *** with the weighted sum-rate maximization scheme,the proposed algorithm can converge to a stationary point more quickly although the system performance is *** results illustrate that the algorithm can make a good balance between system performance and complexity.

With the ever-growing storage density, high-speed, and low-cost data access, flash memory has inevitably become popular. Multi-level cell(MLC) NAND flash memory, which can well balance the data density and memory stability, has occupied the largest market share of flash memory. With the aggressive memory scaling, however, the reliability decays sharply owing to multiple interferences. Therefore, the control system should be embedded with a suitable error correction code(ECC) to guarantee the data integrity and accuracy. We proposed the pre-check scheme which is a multi-strategy polar code scheme to strike a balance between reasonable frame error rate(FER) and decoding latency. Three decoders namely binaryinput, quantized-soft, and pure-soft decoders are embedded in this scheme. Since the calculation of soft loglikelihood ratio(LLR) inputs needs multiple sensing operations and optional quantization boundaries, a 2-bit quantized hard-decision decoder is proposed to outperform the hard-decoded LDPC bit-flipping decoder with fewer sensing operations. We notice that polar codes have much lower computational complexity compared with LDPC codes. The stepwise maximum mutual information(SMMI) scheme is also proposed to obtain overlapped boundaries without exhausting search. The mapping scheme using Gray code is employed and proved to achieve better raw error performance compared with other alternatives. Hardware architectures are also given in this paper.

The goal of the designers is to provide MPSoC protection that meets the performance and security requirements of all the applications. The Network-on-chip (NoC) interconnection structure can be used to efficiently overcome the present MPSoC vulnerabilities. In this paper, we present the implementation of a hierarchical security NoC-based architecture to detect and prevent a wide range of MPSoC attacks. We integrate agile and dynamic security firewalls into the NoC in order to detect attacks based on different security rules. It uses the QoSS (Quality of Security Service) concept. It takes into account the tradeoff between security and performance. We evaluate the effectiveness of our approach over several MPSoCs attack scenarios and estimate their impact on the overall performance. We show that our architecture can perform a fast detection of a wide range of attacks and a fast configuration of the different security policies for several MPSoC applications. © 2012 IEEE.

Generalized Frequency Division Multiplexing(GFDM) is a promising solution for the cellular system of the fifth generation(5G) PHY layer because its flexibility can address the different application ***,due to the pulse shaping,there is inherent interference existing in the received signal,which has a negative impact on pilot-based channel *** the interference on the pilot symbols can be eliminated at the transmitter by using precoding matrices,the accompanied transmitting power penalty increases with the non-orthogonality of subcarriers and *** our work,we propose an iterative method for interference cancellation at the receiver,which can efficiently mitigate the effect of neighboring symbols on pilots without transmitting power *** addition,to improve the accuracy of channel estimation,we adopt the compressive sensing(CS) *** results show that our proposed channel estimation algorithm is efficient even when the interference is severe,and by using orthogonal match pursuit(OMP) recovery algorithm,the performance of our algorithm can be close to the Cramer-Rao bound(CRB).

In this paper, the radar clutter reconstruction model based on singularity power spectrum (SPS) and instantaneous singularity exponent (ISE) is proposed. The proposed ISE-SPS model consists of power measure channel and dimension measure channel. The multi-scale wavelet coefficients are estimated based on the coupling of the two channels to reconstruct the radar sea clutter. Experiment based on the Ice Multi-parameter Imaging X-Band (IPIX) indicates that the proposed model behaves better than the N-partitioned random multiplicative model (NRMM), with about 32% increment in terms of correlation coefficient and normalized MSE of MFS and SPS. © 2020 IEEE.
