Three-dimension Multiprocessors System-on-Chip (3D-MPSoCs) hold promises to allow the development of compact and efficient devices. By means of such technology, multiple applications are supported on the same chip, which can be mapped dynamically during the execution time. This flexibility offered by the 3D technology, also represents vulnerability, turning the 3D-MPSoC security into a challenging task. 3D communication structures (3D-HoCs), which combine buses and network-on-chip can be used to efficiently overcome the present 3D-MPSoC vulnerabilities. 3D-HoCs can be used to implement different security services, monitor the data exchange and isolate dangerous IPs. In this paper, we implement Quality of Security Service (QoSS) in 3D-HoC to efficiently detect and prevent attacks by means of agile and dynamic security firewalls. Such a method takes advantage of the 3D-HoC wide system visibility and critical role in enabling system operation. We evaluate the effectiveness of our approach over several 3D-MPSoCs attack scenarios and estimate their impact on the overall performance. Results show that our architecture can perform a fast detection of a wide range of attacks and a fast configuration of the different security policies.

Due to the popularity of Windows system, BitLocker is widely used as a built-in disk encryption tool. As a commercial application, the design of BitLocker has to consider a capability of disaster recovery, which helps a user to recover data stored on encrypted disk when a regular access is not available. In this case, it will inevitably lead to some security risks when using BitLocker. We have a deep exploration of BitLocker encryption mechanism in this paper. We present the decryption method of encrypted VMK in case of system partition encryption and non-system partition encryption, respectively. VMK is the core key in BitLocker, with which the encrypted partition or the entire disk can be further decrypted. As for security analysis on BitLocker, we firstly make a difficulty analysis of brute force cracking on BitLocker keys, and then we analyze a possible threat caused by key theft. Based on this, we propose a few countermeasures about BitLocker usage. Additionally, we give some suggestions about security enhancement of BitLocker encryption. © 2020 IEEE.

Three dimensional Multiprocessor System-on-Chip (3D-MPSoC) adoption. It is characterized by the integration of a large amount of hardware components on a single multilayer chip. However, heating is one of the major pitfalls of the 3D-MPSoCs. Three dimensional Network-on-Chip (3D-NoC) is used as the communication structure of 3D-MPSoCs. Its main role in system operation and performance makes the optimal 3D-NoC design a critical task. Final 3D-NoC configuration must fulfill all the application requirements and heating constraints of the system. Topology and mapping are some of the most critical parameters in 3D-NoC design, strongly influencing the 3D-MPSoC performance and cost. 3D-NoC topology and mapping has been solved for single application systems on homogeneous 3D-NoCs using single and multi-objective optimization algorithms. In this paper we use a multi-objective immune algorithm (MIA), to solve the multi-application 3D-NoC topology and mapping problems. Latency and power consumption are adopted as the target multi-objective functions constrained by the heating function. Our strategy has been applied on 8 3D-MPSoC benchmarks. Their final 3D-NoC configurations have up to 73% power and 42% latency enhancement when compared to previous reported results.

In this paper,we present the design of a new photonic crystal fiber(PCF)gas sensor for evanescent-field sensing in terahertz(THz)wave *** sensor can be used to identify the gas,and its size is very large,so that it is beneficial to fill it with the test *** on simulation,we demonstrate that the gas sensor using PCFs with four noncircular large holes in the cladding has high sensitivity and low loss,the confinement loss is less than 0.007 dB/m,and the bending loss is very *** new PCF gas sensor can detect kinds of gases,for example,if test gas is water vapor,it has obvious absorption peaks in THz band,and the sensitivities of gas sensor are 64%and 73%at 1.097 THz and 0.752 THz,*** to the ultra-low loss and high sensitivity of the model,the novel steering-wheel structured fiber is very suitable for evanescent-field sensing and the detection of chemical and biological products.

With the emerging telepresence applications, such as meta universe, tele-education and tele-social, there exist a large number of demands for sufficient network resources for visual streaming. However, transmitting the huge volume of the generated visual data through the meandering terrestrial networks would overwhelm the backbone networks and cause non-negligible latency. Mega-constellations, such as OneWeb and Starlink, is developing as one of 'New Infrastructure Construction', and could provide high-capacity and low-latency communication in a world-wide range. However, most of the existing mega-constellation networks' topology is fixed and would easily fall into congestion with the bursting traffic generated by the large-scale telepresence applications. To address this challenge, we propose a reconfigurable mega-constellation architecture by utilizing the permanent and temporary laser inter-satellite links (LISLs). Moreover, based on the mixed-integer linear programming (MILP), we design a routing system, FlyLISL, aiming at balancing the global traffic load by minimizing the maximum link utilization of all LISLs. To evaluate the effectiveness of FlyLISL, we simulate the performance of FlyLISL by comparing with the particle swarm optimization (PSO) and Random based routing strategies. Compared with reference works, FlyLISL reduces the maximum link utilization by up to 72.6%. © 2022 IEEE.

Ensuring security in Multi-processors Systems-on-Chip (MPSoCs) leads to several design challenges due to their intrinsic complexity. Distributed and collaborative MPSoC computing forces the application spreading on the computing resources. As a result sensitive information is exchanged among the different computation components through the Networks-on-Chip (NoCs). Security zones can be built for wrapping the sensitive IPs. However, these zones may not always be physically close. In this work we propose for the first time a NoC architecture for creating NoC-based disrupted security zones. A group-wise key agreement technique at NoC level is employed to create secure and dynamic communication channels among the hardware components. We evaluate our approach under synthetic traffic patterns and the execution of SPLASH2 benchmarks. We show that our architecture is able to efficiently manage dynamic security domains while presenting low impact on the performance and cost of MPSoCs.

The hot-carrier photothermoelectric (PTE) effect in two-dimensional materials can be used to develop room-temperature, fast, and sensitive detectors for microwave, terahertz, and far-infrared radiations. Here, we present a van der Waals semimetal PtSe2 terahertz detector and find a giant terahertz PTE response mediated by hot carriers at the metal-PtSe2 interfaces. The detector demonstrates an excellent zero-bias responsivity of 0.62 ampere per watt (A/W), a low-noise equivalent power of 19.6 picowatt per square root of hertz (pW/Hz1/2), and a fast response time of 4.5 nanosecond (ns) at 0.1 terahertz (THz). The metal doping effect and asymmetric terahertz heating play vital roles in the hot-carrier PTE response at the metal-semimetal interfaces. Moreover, scanning photocurrent mapping shows that the short-wave zero-bias photoresponse is closely localized to the metal-semimetal interfaces, further revealing the metal doping effect. The bias-dependent photocurrent indicates that the short-wave photoresponse still originates from the PTE effect and the photovoltaic response is negligible. Our results provide important guidance for developing high performance semimetal detectors.

Breast cancer is one of the most common causes of death among women worldwide. Early detection helps in reducing the number of deaths. Automated 3D Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) is a newer approach for breast screening, which has many advantages over handheld mammography such as safety, speed, and higher detection rate of breast cancer. Tumor detection, segmentation, and classification are key components in the analysis of medical images, especially challenging in the context of 3D ABUS due to the significant variability in tumor size and shape, unclear tumor boundaries, and a low signal-to-noise ratio. The lack of publicly accessible, well-labeled ABUS datasets further hinders the advancement of systems for breast tumor analysis. Addressing this gap, we have organized the inaugural Tumor Detection, Segmentation, and Classification Challenge on Automated 3D Breast Ultrasound 2023 (TDSC-ABUS2023). This initiative aims to spearhead research in this field and create a definitive benchmark for tasks associated with 3D ABUS image analysis. In this paper, we summarize the top-performing algorithms from the challenge and provide critical analysis for ABUS image examination. Verifiable computation （VC） paradigm has got the captivation that in real term is highlighted by the concept of third party computation. In more explicate terms, VC allows resource constrained clients/organizations to securely outsource expensive computations to untrusted service providers, while acquiring the publicly or privately verifiable results. Many mainstream solutions have been proposed to address the diverse problems within the VC domain. Some of them imposed assumptions over performed computations, while the others took advantage of interactivity /non-interactivity, zero knowledge proofs, and arguments. Further proposals utilized the powers of probabilistic checkable or computationally sound proofs. In this survey, we present a chronological study and classify the VC proposals based on their adopted domains. First, we provide a broader overview of the theoretical advancements while critically analyzing them. Subsequently, we present a comprehensive view of their utilization in the state of the art VC approaches. Moreover, a brief overview of recent proof based VC systems is also presented that lifted up the VC domain to the verge of practicality. We use the presented study and reviewed resuits to identify the similarities and alterations, modifications, and hybridization of different approaches, while comparing their advantages and reporting their overheads. Finally, we discuss implementation of such VC based systems, their applications, and the likely future directions.
