In this paper, a high performance stacked bandpass filter based on frequency doubling suppression is proposed. The proposed filter consists of an interdigital structure and a stepped impedance resonator (SIR). The two structures are combined in a laminated manner and connected by vertical metal vias. The filter has compact size, excellent passband performance and wide stopband. The proposed miniaturized bandpass filter is expected to be applied in modern communication systems. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents the estimation of stability and control derivatives of an unmanned aircraft. The aerodynamics are described using regressors composed of velocity, angular rates, flow angles and control surface deflections. The flight data is generated from numerical simulation of postulated equations of motion describing the aerodynamics model. Least squares based on the equation error method is used to estimate the parameters representing the different force and moment aerodynamic coefficients. Statistical analysis is done on the estimates to determine the accuracy and adequacy of the estimates to describe the aerodynamic model. A dynamic simulation based on the identified aerodynamic model is used to improve the parameter estimates through regression of the errors between the flight data and the model response. The aircraft under consideration is a scaled Yak-54 fixed wing unmanned aerial vehicle. © 2023 Budapest University of technology and Economics. All rights reserved.

This paper discusses in detail an intelligent inspection system of sewage treatment plant based on Augmented Reality to solve the problems of low efficiency, slow speed and waste of human resources in the existing daily inspection process of wastewater treatment plant. The intelligent inspection system designed in this paper is realized based on Augmented Reality technology, and a Digital Twin model is built to connect with the running data of the wastewater treatment plant in real time. Hololens2 headset is used to realize human-computer interaction. The intelligent inspection system is connected to multiple sensors in the wastewater treatment plant through PLC, and the real-time data in the scene is dynamically presented in the model. Through the sensor of Hololens2, the system can quickly identify the current position of the inspectors, map the model and real-time data of the corresponding scene into the reality, and mark the data with problems, so as to help the inspectors quickly judge and deal with the problems in the operation of the wastewater treatment plant. Belts are mainly used for transporting coal. During the conveying process, the belt may be idling. Manual inspections not only lead to reduced efficiency, but also pose safety hazards. As a result, it is proposed a belt no-load monitoring system based on the improved algorithm of support vector machine. The belt is used for on-site monitoring of belt idling problems. An initial image of the belt is acquired by a camera unit and the image is preprocessed. According to the belt images of different working conditions, feature selection is performed for images affected by external light sources, belt surface trace features and ore state distribution. Then support vector machine models using different kernel functions are constructed to classify the belts. Therefore, the belt no-load detection method proposed in this paper can to a certain extent solve the problem that artificial cannot monitor the belt status in real time and timely warning. This method reduces the chance of belt conveyor failures and makes the belt work more efficiently. © (2024), (International Association of Engineers). All rights reserved.

Asymmetric network pseudo labels mutual refinement for unsupervised domain adaptation person re-identification

In the task of unsupervised domain adaptation person re-identification, the traditional symmetric dual-branch network only generates one single feature, which ignores the difference and complementarity of the network and is prone to produce wrong cluster results. To solve this problem, the asymmetric network pseudo labels mutual refinement (ANPR) algorithm is proposed to design an asymmetric network (ASNet), containing diverse features for mutual supervision. One branch of ASNet employs convolutional operations with constrained receptive fields to extract local information, and the other branch uses the contextual transformer block to capture global features. Secondly, this paper constructs the pseudo labels mutual refinement (PMR) module, which generates two sets of clustering results using global and local potential features of unlabeled samples. PMR suppresses the inconsistent clustering results and retains the consistent ones, which gradually improves the quality of pseudo labels for dual-brach mutual supervision. In addition, the feature space loss (FSL) function is designed to focus on the relative distance of samples in the feature layer without relying on the pseudo labels in the task layer, which effectively avoids the influence of noisy pseudo labels in the optimization process. The inspection of roads for defects, as basic transportation infrastructure, is critical to maintain the efficient and safe operation of the transportation system. Visual perception-based pavement defect detection methods can efficiently and accurately identify pavement issues and provide data support for intelligent preventive maintenance. This paper summarizes the development of pavement defect detection technology, from feature extraction to automatic feature extraction. Deep learning-based pavement defect detection methods are analyzed and compared in three aspects: classification, object detection, and segmentation. By integrating recent research methods, the paper further reviews innovative approaches to pavement defect detection modeling in four areas: information flow models, Transformer models, attention mechanisms, and the application of 3D technology. Additionally, various defect types, pavement defect datasets, and defect detection systems are introduced. Finally, the paper provides an outlook on future trends and summarizes the key findings. © 2024, Cefin Publishing House. All rights reserved.

The goal of the paper is to present a tool, which can be used for the selection of sensors in a closed-loop control of a mechatronic system. Several sensor parameters (such as noise power or delay) are simulated and their effects on the whole system’s performance are analyzed. For the simulations, Matlab-Simulink environment is applied. The simulated data are then used to estimate the transfer function of the whole closed-loop system with a controller. The services of the System Identification toolbox are appropriate for this task. If the specifications are given as the required damping and bandwidth of the system, the tool estimates the sensor parameters, which can ensure the desired performance. Some simulation results demonstrate the workflow of our tool, which was implemented using the App Designer of Matlab. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

With the rapid development of the Internet, Chinese addresses are widely present online. However, their complexity and diversity make traditional methods challenging for accurate identification. To address this issue, this paper proposes a Chinese address named entity recognition method based on the BERT-BiLSTM-ATT-CRF model. This model combines BERT's contextual understanding, BiLSTM's sequence modeling, Attention's emphasis focus, and CRF's sequence labeling capabilities, enabling more accurate identification of address entities from Chinese text. Experimental results demonstrate significant progress of the model in Chinese address named entity recognition tasks, improving accuracy, recall, and F1 score for address information identification. © 2024 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

New Insights on the Stability of Sampled-Data-Based LFC for Power Systems: A Delay-Interval-Dependent LKF Approach

This paper analyzes the stability problem of load frequency control (LFC) for power systems under uncertain transmission delays. First, an argumented LFC system model accounting for uncertainties in transmission delays is proposed. Then, a novel delay-interval-dependent Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) that takes into account both the upper and lower bounds of the transmission delay is proposed. Several less conservative stability criteria are derived using the proposed LKF. Based on the stability criterion obtained, the sampling interval and the upper and lower bounds of the transmission delay are taken as the conditions to guide the controller design. Finally, case studies are conducted based on a one-area power system and a three-area power system, both integrated with wind and solar power generation. The simulation comparison results demonstrate that the proposed LFC scheme exhibits strong robustness against uncertain transmission delays, load fluctuations, and the intermittent generation of wind and solar power. © 2010-2012 IEEE.
