In this paper application of the OpenFOAM solver QGDFoam for numerical simulation of transonic viscous flows is considered. The developed solver, which implements regularized or quasi- gas dynamics (QGD) algorithms, is validated using the transonic low-Re jet flow case (Ma=0.9, Re=3600). The conducted numerical simulations allow the assessing applicability of the solver for modelling hydrodynamic instabilities and their interaction with transonic flow. Results of the numerical simulations are compared with experimental observations and Navier-Stokes-based code simulation. Results of the present study formulate a guideline for choosing (values of) QGD-algorithm tuning parameters.

Paper presents some results of the implementation of a quasi-hydrodynamic (QHD) approach as finite volume method (FVM) solver mules QHDFoam on the basis of OpenFOAM. Application of the QHD numerical algorithm to the simulation of the attractor of internal gravity waves is considered. A comparison of FVM with spectral element method (SEM) implemented in Nek5000 is given. Convergence of the QHD FVM solver model to the SEM Nek5000 model is shown. The Big Data analysis method (Proper Orthogonal Decomposition) is used as a tool for comparing the calculation results between QHDFoam and Nek5000.

Knowing the mobility patterns of citizens using public transportation is an important issue for modern smart cities. Mobility information is crucial for designing and planning an urban transportation system able to provide good service to citizens. We address two relevant problems related to public transportation systems: the analysis of mobility patterns of passengers and the relocation of bus stops in an urban area. Forthe first problem, a big-data approach is applied to process large volume one space of information. Several relevant metrics are computed and analyzed to characterize the mobility patterns using data from the public transportation system on Montevideo, Uruguay. We obtain user demand and origin-destination matrices by analyzing the tickets sale information and the buses locations. A distributed implementation is proposed, reaching significant execution time improvements (speedup up to 17.10 when using 24 computing resources). For the second problem, a multiobjective evolutionary algorithm is proposed to relocate bus stops in order to improve the quality of service by minimizing the travel time and bus operational costs. The algorithm is evaluated over instances of the problem generated with real data from the year 2015. The experimental results show that the algorithm is able to obtain improvements of up to 16.7 and 33.9% in time and cost respectively, compared to space situation in the year 2015.

In this paper, we propose a new approach to the construction of computationally secure secret sharing scheme based on the simultaneous use of the Residue Number system (RNS), as the symmetric encryption, and the perfect Asmuth-Bloom secret sharing scheme. We combine the useful features of Redundant RNS to design space efficient secret sharing scheme with enough level of security and to control of data integrity. This combination provides verifiability and achieves a high speed of data processing.

The paper presents a test program generator for functional verification of RISC-V microprocessors. The generator is implemented on the base of MicroTESK framework and consists of formal specifications of RISC-V ISA and ISA-independent core. The specifications describe instructions' syntax and semantics and can be easily modified to support more instructions (including custom extensions). The core implements techniques of instruction sequences composition and test data generation. Test programs are generated from test templates, describing the programs' structural and behavioral properties;among generation techniques, random, combinatorial, and constraint-based ones are supported.

Cloud technologies are widely used for storage services. However, the single cloud cannot ensure the reliability of data. To solve the security issue, we present a multi-cloud based storage architecture called WA-RRNS that combines weighted access scheme and threshold secret sharing redundant residue number system with multiple failure detection/recovery mechanisms and homomorphic ciphers. For better tradeoffs between security and performance, WA-RRNS uses parameters to adjust redundancy, encryption-decryption speed, and data loss probability. Theoretical and experimental analysis with real data shows that our approach provides a secure way to mitigate the uncertainty of the use of untrusted and not reliable cloud storages.

In this paper, we present a Big Data analysis paradigm related to smart cities using cloud computing infrastructures. The proposed architecture follows the MapReduce parallel model implemented using the Hadoop framework. We analyse two case studies: a quality-of-service assessment of public transportation system using historical bus location data, and a passenger-mobility estimation using ticket sales data from smartcards. Both case studies use real data from the transportation system of Montevideo, Uruguay. The experimental evaluation demonstrates that the proposed model allows processing large volumes of data efficiently.

In this paper, we propose an adaptive model of data storage in a heterogeneous distributed cloud environment. Our system utilizes the methods of secret sharing schemes and error correction codes based on Redundant Residue Number system (RRNS). We consider data uploading, storing and downloading. To minimize data access, we use data transfer mechanism between cloud providers. We provide theoretical analysis and experimental evaluation of our scheme with six real data storage providers. We show how dynamic adaptive strategies not only increase security, reliability, and reduction of data redundancy but allow processing encrypted data. We also discuss potentials of this approach, and address methods for mitigating the risks of confidentiality, integrity, and availability associated with the loss of information, denial of access for a long time, and information leakage.

Open Source C++ code is developed for 2D incompressible flow simulation by using vortex methods. The code has modular structure, it permits users to simulate flow around airfoils (as well as around system of airfoils) and compute unsteady hydrodynamic loads acting the airfoils. It is also possible to simulate hydroelastic regimes of airfoil motion in the flow by using weakly coupled and strongly coupled algorithms. Well known vortex methods algorithms as well as original numerical schemes developed by authors are implemented, which makes it possible to raise the accuracy of simulation significantly in comparison to traditional algorithms of vortex methods. It is possible to run simulations in parallel mode, OpenMP and MPI technologies are supported.

Cloud data storages are functioning in the presence of the risks of confidentiality, integrity, and availability related with the loss of information, denial of access for a long time, information leakage, conspiracy and technical failures. In this paper, we provide analysis of reliable, scalable, and confidential distributed data storage based on Multilevel Residue Number system (RNS) and Mignotte secret sharing scheme. We use real cloud providers and estimate characteristics such as the data redundancy, speed of data encoding, and decoding to cope with different user preferences. The analysis shows that the proposed storage scheme increases safety and reliability of traditional approaches and reduces data storage overheads by appropriate selection of RNS parameters.
