In this paper we introduce ISP-Fuzzer, an extendable fuzzing framework. The framework supports plugins which makes possible to tune it for any fuzzing task. ISP-Fuzzer capable of performing fuzzing for: files, standard input, network, network protocols. As well it can generate BNF structured data for compilers and interpreters fuzzing. The framework supports number of plugins for performing: code static analysis, dynamic symbolic execution, directed fuzzing etc. ISP-Fuzzer designed to run on multiprocessor and distributed systems. During experimental setup the tool has detected number of defects in binary files from different Linux distributions.

In this paper we present a new approach for directed fuzzing. It enables faster generation of the input data for the target program's specific instructions execution. Existing fuzzing tools randomly generate or mutate input data to increase code coverage. This approach is not effective for analysis of special code regions. The basic idea behind of this paper is to instrument target program in a such way that interesting code fragments were executed as soon as possible. For that propose we detect all the paths in the program which are connecting program's entry point to the considered instructions. Then we apply two type of instrumentations. In the first case we insert coverage collection instructions only in detected paths, which enables fuzzing tool to consider generated or mutated input data valuable if the distances between executed blocks and target points are reduced. In the second case we additionally insert 'exit(0)' instructions in those basic blocks from which target points are unreachable and their execution has no any influence. It allows repeatedly increase fuzzing speed.

The secure and efficient processing of private information in the cloud computing paradigm is still an open issue. New security threats arise with the increasing volume of data into cloud storage, where cloud providers require high levels of trust, and data breaches are significant problems. Encrypting the data with conventional schemes is considered the best option to avoid security problems. However, a decryption process is necessary when the data must be processed, but it falls into the initial problem of data vulnerability. The user cannot operate on the data directly and must download it to perform the computations locally. In this context, Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) is considered the holy grail of cryptography in order to solve cybersecurity problems, it allows a non-trustworthy third-party resource to blindly process encrypted information without disclosing confidential data. FHE is a valuable capability in a world of distributed computation and heterogeneous networking. In this survey, we present a comprehensive review of theoretical concepts, state-of-the-art, limitations, potential applications, and development tools in the domain of FHE. Moreover, we show the intersection of FHE and machine learning from a theoretical and a practical point of view and identify potential research directions to enrich Machine Learning as a Service, a new paradigm of cloud computing. Specifically, this paper aims to be a guide to researchers and practitioners interested in learning, applying, and extending knowledge in FHE over machine learning.

In recent years, the research on deep-sea mining has become more and more popular, especially in the interaction between the harvesting system and seabed to estimate and minimize seabed disturbance. In this paper, an inclined plane is adopted to simplify the front of the nodule harvester, and a solver for simulating turbulent sediment transport and fluid-structure interaction is developed based on the drift-flux model in the OpenFOAM. The volume of fluid (VOF) algorithm is used to simulate the diffusion and sedimentation process of sediment in the water, and the kOmegaSST model is used to calculate the turbulent diffusion coefficient of the mixed solution. Two different dynamic mesh strategies, overset and arbitrarily coupled mesh interface (ACMI) methods, are used to simulate the movement of the tilting push plate. This paper compares the simulation results of two different strategies. The results show that under the same simulation accuracy, ACMI method is more reliable and efficient than overset method.

With increasing number of cloud providers and offered cloud services, the need of effective deployment and portability of software application infrastructures in the cloud environments is becoming more essential. The paper provides a method of unified description and deployment of infrastructures, including hardware and software requirements. It describes the developed Ansible module which deploys the required infrastructure in specified cloud environment depending on specific description. The module uses model and language of TOSCA standard (Topology and Orchestration Specification for Cloud Applications) to describe the relevant node requirements of infrastructure and orchestration tool Ansible to deploy infrastructure in cloud environment. The paper also provides instructions to add new provider support in developed module and describes the maps between TOSCA elements and resources provided by OpenStack and Amazon.

These days, real-time analytics is one of the most often used notions in the world of databases. Broadly, this term means very fast analytics over very fresh data. Usually the term comes together with other popular terms, hybrid transactional/analytical processing (HTAP) and in-memory data processing. The reason is that the simplest way to provide fresh operational data for analysis is to combine in one system both transactional and analytical processing. The most effective way to provide fast transactional and analytical processing is to store an entire database in memory. So on the one hand, these three terms are related but on the other hand, each of them has its own right to life. In this paper, we provide an overview of several in-memory data management systems that are not HTAP systems. Some of them are purely transactional, some are purely analytical, and some support real-time analytics. Then we overview nine in-memory HTAP DBMSs, some of which don't support real-time analytics. Existing real-time in-memory HTAP DBMSs have very diverse and interesting architectures although they use a number of common approaches: multiversion concurrency control, multicore parallelization, advanced query optimization, just in time compilation, etc. Additionally, we are interested whether these systems use nonvolatile memory, and, if yes, in what manner. We conclude that an emergence of new generation of NVM will greatly stimulate its use in in-memory HTAP systems.

One of the efficient ways to speedup calculations in the vortex method, namely the Barnes - Hut-type algorithm, is considered. This method is based on the introducing of a hierarchical structure of domains (binary tree), which allows one to take into account approximately mutual influences of clusters of vortex elements located far from each other when calculating convective velocities. Estimates of the computational complexity of the algorithm for convective velocities calculating are derived, as well as estimates of the error, which depend on the parameters of the algorithm. In practice, these estimates make it possible to choose optimal values of the algorithm parameters and to achieve the maximal speedup of calculations at a given level of acceptable calculation error.

The main features and data structure of the VM2D code is described. VM2D is the original code that implements the meshless Lagrangian vortex methods for two-dimensional viscous incompressible flows simulation. The code is open source and supports parallel technologies OpenMP, MPI and Nvidia CUDA. The VM2D code can be useful for flow simulation around airfoils as well as system of airfoils and unsteady hydrodynamic loads computation. It is possible to simulate flow around immovable airfoils, airfoils moving according to the given law and solve fluid-structure interaction problems in weakly coupled and strongly coupled statement. Known algorithms of vortex methods and original improvements developed by authors are implemented. The current version of source code of the VM2D is available on GitHub under GNU GPL license (https://***/vortexmethods/VM2D)

The article summarize results of the study of wind farms located on the island of Crete and in Russia using different solvers of open source SOWFA library. Applying large-eddy simulation approach allows to take into account the orography of the area, different physical processes like lower-level jets and will assess the impact of the wind farm and turbulent wakes on the local microclimate of the region.

As the efficiency of main and external memory grows, alongside with decreasing hardware costs, the performance of database management systems (DBMS) on certain kinds of queries is more determined by CPU characteristics and the way it is utilized. Relational DBMS utilize diverse execution models to run SQL queries. Those models have different properties, but in either way suffer from substantial overhead during query plan interpretation. The overhead comes from indirect calls to handler functions, runtime checks and large number of branch instructions. One way to solve this problem is dynamic query compilation that is reasonable only in those cases when query interpretation time is larger than the time of compilation and optimized machine code execution. This requirement can be satisfied only when the amount of data to be processed is large enough. If query interpretation takes milliseconds to finish, then the cost of dynamic compilation can be hundreds of times more than the execution time of generated machine code. To pay off the cost of dynamic compilation, the generated machine code has to be reused in subsequent executions, thus saving the cost of code compilation and optimization. In this paper, we examine the method of machine code caching in our query JIT-compiler for DBMS PostgreSQL. The proposed method allows us to eliminate compilation overhead. The results show that dynamic compilation of queries with machine code caching feature gives a significant speedup on OLTP queries.
