Data processing this article details about is based on the fixed-point DSP-TMS320F206PZ, TMS320F206 of the United States Texas inst.uments (TI) handle the speed very quick. This example demands much for precisions of sampling precisions and speed of data processing, so we adopt the fixed-point DSP slice. In order to adapt to requirements of high-speed data transmission and processing, we would rather use ADS7805,which is high-quality parallel output A/D converter of BB comp.ny, not common-used 16-bits serial one, for which is difficult to connect with parallel buses and is slow to read data, all of these cannot satisfy high requests of sampling frequency. In comp.ters' applying systems, it always exists contradictions of speed-mismatching between comp.ter and external equipment, which largely give discount to efficiency. Interruption technology once well solved this kind of problem, but it should interrupt once for every data processing, which greatly reduce the system speed. The article adopt dual-port SRAM as data *** use two ADS7805 to sample the current and the voltage, after which,we operate data filtering by fixed-point DSP,then store results in one of two ports, and lastly let the upper-level system take away results by another port. The emphasis and difficult point of this paper is the design of hardware circuit and the research of filtering algorithm, which should contributes much to investgations of controlling system and applications of DSP.

This paper proposes an on-demand distributed clustering algorithm for self-organizing, multihop, mobile packet radio network where mobile nodes are organized into nonoverlapping clusters. These clusters are independently controlled and are dynamically reconfigured as nodes may move from one cluster to another cluster. The main advantages of network are to provide spatial reuse of bandwidth due to node clustering and to share or reuse bandwidth in a controlled fashion in each cluster. The proposed algorithm is robust due to the motion, failure, insertion or deletion of nodes. This non periodic algorithm for clusterhead election reduces the comp.tational cost and communication costs.

We comp.re our graph-based relational concept learning approach "SubdueCL" with the ILP systems FOIL and Progol. In order to be fair in the comp.rison, we use the conceptual graphs representation. Conceptual graphs have a standard translation from graphs into logic. In this way, we introduce less bias during the translation process. We experiment with different types of domains. First, we show our experiments with an artificial domain to describe how SubdueCL performs with the conceptual graphs representation. Second, we experiment with several flat and relational domains. The results of the comp.rison show that the SubdueCL system is comp.titive with ILP systems in both flat and relational domains.

Active networks are a kind of packet-switched networks in which packets have code fragments that are executed on the intermediary nodes (routers). The code can extend or modify the foundation architecture of a network. An active network architecture combined with advantages of two major active networks technology based on extensible services router is presented. The architecture consists of extensible service router, active extensible comp.nents server and key distribution center (KDC). Users can write extensible service comp.nents with programming interface. The extensible services router prototype system based on Highly Efficient Router Operating System (HEROS), active extensible comp.nents server and KDC prototype system based on Linux are finished.

This paper focuses on a state sharing method for an artificial neural network (ANN) and hidden Markov model (HMM) hybrid on-line handwriting recognition system. A modeling precision-based distance measure is proposed to describe the similarity between two ANNs, which are used as HMM state-models. Limiting maximum system performance loss, a minimum quantification error aimed hierarchical clustering algorithm is designed to choose the most representative models. The system performance is improved by about 1.5% while saving 40% of the system expense. About 92% of the performance may also be maintained while reducing 70% of system parameters. The suggested method is quite useful for designing pen-based interface for various handheld devices.

Many systematic approaches have been studied to represent documents. One of the approaches, called Phrase based Technique (PHT) uses phrases to represent documents, aiming at capturing the main phrases present in the document. A set of phrases is represented as an ATN. One of the main problems in this approach is to construct ATN that can capture all possible patterns. This paper provides a frame work that is essential for capturing the most of the patterns used in English Language and proposes a way to automatically represent documents. Experiments have been performed on small set of documents and shown that phrases are more effective than keywords in terms of content indicators.

The microarray technique has been widely used in recent years since it can capture the expressions of thousands of genes in a single experiment. To meet the challenge of high volume and comp.exity of microarray data, various data mining methods and applications have been proposed for analysing gene expressions. Although numerous clustering methods have been studied, they can not provide automation, high quality and high efficiency simultaneously for the biologists during the analysis process. In this research, we propose an integrated approach that can analyse large volume of gene expression data automatically and efficiently. Our approach integrates efficient clustering algorithms with a novel validation technique such that the quality of the discovered gene expression patterns can be evaluated on the fly. Through practical implementation and applications on real gene expression data, our approach was shown to outperform other methods in terms of efficiency, clustering quality and automation.

A brief review of color-matching technology and its application of printing RGB images by CMY or CMYK ink-jet printers is presented, followed by an explanation to the conventional approaches that are commonly used in color-matching. Then, a four-color matching method combining neural network with genetic algorithm is proposed. The initial weights and thresholds of the BP neural network for RGB-to-CMY color conversion are optimized by the new genetic algorithm based on evolutionarily stable strategy. The fourth comp.nent K is generated by using GCR (Gray comp.nent Replacement) concept. The simulation experiments show that it is well behaved in both accuracy and generalization performance.

More and more out-of-core problems that involve solving large amounts of data are researched by sci.ntists. The comp.tational grid provides a wide and scalable environment for those large scale comp.tations. A new method supporting out-of-core comp.tations on grids is presented in this paper. The framework and the data storage strategy are described, and based on that, an easy and efficient out-of-core programming interface is provided for the programmers.
