In connection with the problems of development and implementation of perfect automatic and automated control systems for complex technological processes based on modern information technology tools, the development of research methods for multidimensional nonlinear discrete control systems is of particular relevance. The variety of these systems is due to the types of modulation, non-linearities, modes of operation of impulse elements, characteristics of continuous parts. The article deals with the problems of modeling and research of one-dimensional and multidimensional pulse-frequency systems with delay based on the use of dynamic graphs. One of the key points in solving the problem is an approach based on the maximum consideration of the physical features of these systems. Given the structural complexity of systems, it is necessary first of all to establish the possibility of decomposing the system into simpler subsystems. Then the study of the system can be reduced to the study of individual subsystems and the nature of their interaction, that is, to the determination of the properties of the system as a whole by the properties of its elements. Systems with frequency-pulse modulation are essentially non-linear systems. The topological method based on dynamic graph models allows solving the fundamental difficulties of studying nonlinear discrete systems with delay, allows clearly and strictly formalizing their description, and makes it possible to obtain effective algorithms for analyzing one-dimensional and multidimensional systems of this class. The article presents an example of using the obtained algorithm. © 2022 IEEE.

The article analyzes the data of elderly patients with airway cancer before and after surgery. To reduce the mortality of cancer patients in the postoperative period, it is necessary to identify markers that can predict the deterioration of the patient's condition. The study involved 83 patients, who recorded 216 parameters before and 47 parameters after surgery. The data contain not only general laboratory parameters, but also blood gas parameters, hemodynamic data and autonomic indices, metabolic parameters and cardiorespiratory stress tests at various levels of exercise. Statistical data analysis is carried out using the SPSS program and is based on the following methods: one-sided Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Mann-Whitney test, chi-square test and the use of logistic regression to build a multivariate model. The investigated variable is the result of the operation, which can take the following values: no complications, complications after surgery, death. The result of this analysis, namely the determination of mortality markers, will determine which of the patients should not undergo surgery, and who need special medical supervision in the postoperative period. © 2021 IEEE.

Ultrafast-deposition and a-Si precursor or cap layer are analyzed as possible approaches to the control upon interface intermixing and film growth process. A simple and effective design is delivered providing deposition rates up to 104 nm/s. XPS results evidence formation of Fe3Si in the layered structure Fe/a-Si/Si. Cross-section HRTEM data demonstrate enhanced intermixing at the a-Si/Fe film interface. Magnetic properties of the Fe-Si structures grown by the above methods are studied by in situ magneto-optic Kerr effect. Intermixing at the Fe/Si interface is the result of chemical reaction rather than diffusion. © 2011 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Optical wave reflection from a layered half-space with regular and random inhomogeneities where the regular perturbations correspond to a linear waveguide near the half-space boundary. Random inhomogeneities are simulated in the frame of the white noise model. The problem is solved analytically in a framework of the embedding method which reduces a boundary problem to the problem with initial values considering the field as a function of the half-space boundary coordinate and obtaining then its solution as a steady-state probability density of the reflection coefficient phase. Numerical calculations revealed some features of the field behavior under the combined influence of regular and random inhomogeneities such as the reflection coefficient phase increasing inhomogeneity from uniform distribution for small regular inhomogeneities toward a strong peak at the phase equal to π/2 for increasing ones, and some fine effects which are still greater than the calculation accuracy. © 1999 IEEE.

We consider a model stationary problem of wave propagation in a layered halfspace with regular and random inhomogeneities. The choice of regular perturbation corresponds to a linear waveguide near the right boundary of the halfspace. Random inhomogeneities are simulated in the framework of the white noise mode. We analyze influence of inhomogeneities on probability distribution of the reflection coefficient phase.

We consider a model three-dimensional stationary problem of wave propagation in a fluctuating weakly dissipative layered half space. The statistical analysis of this problem is carried out in the framework of the imbedding method for different boundary conditions. We are interested in the statistical behaviour of the averaged intensity, which is expressed via a two-frequency correlator of waves incident at different angles. The correlator is calculated both analytically in the framework of the diffusive approximation and numerically with the help of the ″ atistical simulation method.
