The application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) for securely delivering essential items during extreme conditions includes numerous challenges, particularly in ensuring identification of potential threats. To solve this challenge, we propose a strong framework that makes use of Boosting algorithms, with a particular focus on XGBoost to enhance attack classification in UAV-based delivery systems. The XGBoost model achieved an accuracy of 93%, a precision of 0.9312, a recall of 0.9311, and an F1 score of 0.9283 , which makes it a highly suitable model for security of UAVs. Explainable AI (XAI) is used to further enhance classification including SHAP and LIME to identify the most influential features, such as the barometer and battery levels. Our framework provides a comprehensive solution for secure UAV-based deliveries. The experimental results proves the effectiveness of the proposed model which shows its potential for real-life applications.

There are many asynchronous communication situations for which the prevalent continuous connectivity paradigm is not needed. communication with a fair delay tolerance may inst.ad be provided by intermittent store-and-forwarding between nodes. This paper proposes a design for an open, receiver-driven broadcasting system that relies on delay-tolerant forwarding of data chunks through mobility of wireless nodes. The system provides public broadcast channels, which can be openly used for both transmission and reception. We show by simulation under benchmark mobility models that a delay-tolerant broadcast channel has both a sufficiently high throughput and reach to be interesting as a competitive alternative to the regulated wireless broadcast channel. We also present the design of, and experiences with, a proof-of-concept prototype. Copyright 2006 ACM.

A new vertical handoff decision algorithm is proposed to maximize the system benefit in heterogeneous wireless networks which comprise cellular networks and wireless local area networks (WLANs). Firstly the block probability, the drop probability and the number of users in the heterogeneous networks are calculated in the channel-guard call admission method, and a function of the system benefit which is based on the new call arrival rate and the handoff call arrival rate is proposed. Then the optimal radius of WLAN is obtained by using simulation annealing (SA) method to maximize the benefit. All the nodes should handoff from cellular network to WLAN if they enter WLAN's scope and handoff from WLAN to cellular network if they leave the scope. Finally, the algorithm in different new call arrival rates and handoff call arrival rates is analyzed and results show that it can achieve good effects.

Podcasting has become a very popular and successful Internet service in a short time. This success illustrates the interest for participatory broadcasting, but podcasting is alas only available with fixed infrastructure support to retrieve publicized episodes. We aim at releasing this limitation and present herein a podcasting system architecture based on opportunistic wireless networking that allows us to extend podcasting to ad hoc domains. The design is explained and presented together with a prototype implementation running on hand-held devices. We analyze different fundamental design tradeoffs based on measurements. An adaptive multi-QoS routing algorithm called AMQRA is proposed for dynamic topology networks, such as satellite networks and Ad-hoc networks. The AMQRA is a distributed and mobile-agents-based routing algorithm, which combines ant quantity system (AQS) with ant colony optimization (ACO) that is used in AntNet routing algorithm. In dynamic topology networks, the AMQRA achieves timely optimization for concave metric QoS constraint and fast convergence. The proposed routing algorithm is simulated in Iridium satellite constellation on OPNET. The results show that AMQRA not only outperforms the AntNet in convergence rate in dynamic topology networks but also can optimize concave metric QoS constraint and reasonably allot bandwidth to the load to avoid networks congestion.
