In the era of big data, efficiently processing and retrieving insights from unstructured data presents a critical challenge. This paper introduces a scalable leader-worker distributed data pipeline designed to handle large sets of unstructured data blobs. Leveraging data parallelism, the system distributes workload across worker nodes, ensuring high performance for embarrassingly parallel tasks with minimal inter-process communication. Fault tolerance is achieved through an optimized next-in-line leader re-election strategy, addressing cascading failures and mitigating the thundering herd effect. The use of Apache Zookeeper for service discovery ensures seamless coordination within the cluster while maintaining a loosely coupled architecture for enhanced scalability. Google Protocol Buffers are employed for secure data transmission, offering tamper resistance against eavesdropping and man-in-the-middle attacks. The system also integrates the TF-IDF algorithm for efficient information retrieval, demonstrating the ability to achieve data parallelism while preserving task uniformity across nodes. Performance evaluation highlights significant reductions in response times with increasing cluster size, validating the system’s scalability, efficiency, and robustness. The proposed architecture is well-suited for real-world applications requiring secure, fault-tolerant, and scalable solutions for unstructured data analysis. © 2025 IEEE.

The study focuses on optimizing PDF-to-text conversion through image and character recognition, thereby minimizing resource wastage and errors associated with manual transcription. Additionally, the research employs advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to automate the identification of critical phrases such as keywords and organizational entities, significantly reducing manual errors and improving accuracy. The methodology also includes the use of sophisticated summarization algorithms and sentiment analysis, streamlining the process of summarizing extensive literature and identifying study limitations. By leveraging state-of-the-art transformer models and industry-standard libraries, this research introduces a novel, efficient framework for literature analysis. The outcome is a comprehensive, AI-powered toolkit that enhances the speed, accuracy, and precision of literature reviews, ultimately providing researchers with a more reliable and resource-efficient approach to navigating scholarly content. © 2025 IEEE.

Multiview representation learning techniques based on deep correlation maximization have become increasingly popular for learning meaningful and compact representations from multiview data. Even though their performance is state-of-the-art in many interpretability-critical fields, their black-box behavior poses a problem and restricts their usability. To overcome this restriction, we propose XDCCA (eXplanations for Deep Canonical Correlation Analysis), an explanation strategy using characteristic rules in combination with SHAP that exploits the inherent structure of latent spaces created by correlation maximization techniques. We demonstrate how XDCCA allows for interpreting learned representations and their correlation using real medical time series and synthetic image data. © 2025 IEEE.

Design and Implementation of FourCropNet: A CNN-Based System for Efficient Multi-Crop Disease Detection and Management

Plant disease detection is a critical task in agriculture, directly impacting crop yield, food security, and sustainable farming practices. This study proposes FourCropNet, a novel deep learning model designed to detect diseases in multiple crops, including CottonLeaf, Grape, Soybean, and Corn. The model leverages an advanced architecture comprising residual blocks for efficient feature extraction, attention mechanisms to enhance focus on disease-relevant regions, and lightweight layers for computational efficiency. These components collectively enable FourCropNet to achieve superior performance across varying datasets and class complexities, from single-crop datasets to combined datasets with 15 classes. The proposed model was evaluated on diverse datasets, demonstrating high accuracy, specificity, sensitivity, and F1 scores. Notably, FourCropNet achieved the highest accuracy of 99.7% for Grape, 99.5% for Corn, and 95.3% for the combined dataset. Its scalability and ability to generalize across datasets underscore its robustness. Comparative analysis shows that FourCropNet consistently outperforms state-of-the-art models, such as MobileNet, VGG16, and EfficientNet, across various metrics. FourCropNet’s innovative design and consistent performance make it a reliable solution for real-time disease detection in agriculture. This model has the potential to assist farmers in timely disease diagnosis, reducing economic losses and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. © 2025, CC BY.
