This paper presents the results of studying the effect of time (5, 6, 7, and 8 minutes) of nickel electrodeposition (Ni ED) at room temperature and annealing at 450°C in an argon atmosphere on the structure, composition, and photoluminescent (PL) properties of mesoporous silicon (meso-PS) and its nanocomposite with Ni (meso-PS/Ni). The SEM and EDX spectroscopy data showed the predominant concentration of Ni on the surface and an insignificant concentration in the near-surface region of the meso-PS. According to Raman and PL spectroscopy data, it was established that after Ni ED in a NiCl2 solution, nickel sub oxide (NiOx) with a band gap of up to 2.8 e V is formed in the meso-PS surface layer, which, after short-term annealing (5 and 6 min), is transformed into nickel monoxide nanocrystals (NiO), which leads to a strong (0.2 - 0.9 eV) 'blue' shift of the PL maximum (2.4-2.6 eV) of the nanocomposite with meso-PS/Ni with a multiple increase in the PL amplitude. With an increase in the time of Ni ED and storage in air, NiOx, is not formed, and the detected significant (2-18 times) increase in the PL amplitude with a small 'red' shift of 0.05-0.1 eV is presumably associated with the formation of radiative recombination centers in the form of ions Ni in the meso-PS matrix. Annealing in argon in this case leads to a decrease in the PL intensity without shifting the PL maxima. © 2022 IEEE.

The technology of automatic calculation of sea ice compression zones and parameters based on ice drift velocities obtained from a sequence of satellite images is considered. To calculate the ice drift velocity, we use the developed methods that allow us to estimate the accuracy of each vector a priori. Compression/rarefaction of an ice field is considered as the rate of change in the distance between individual ice floes over time. Compression parameters are the magnitude and direction of the ice compression/rarefaction axis with an estimate of the accuracy of their calculation. The advantages of the Meteor-M satellite KMSS device for calculating ice parameters along the Northern Sea Route are considered. For the water area of the Kara Gate Strait in the Pechora Sea, automatic identification of compression/rarefaction zones is compared with visual-manual identification. The variability of the compression value depending on the spatial size of the calculation zone is estimated.

The paper proposes a system for identifying target objects to perform manipulative operations by unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV) equipped with multi-link manipulators (MM). This system processes point clouds received from technical vision systems (TVS) mounted on UUV, and provides high-precision identification of the location and shape of target objects relative to the UUV. Then, the specified trajectories of the MM working tool are translated on the determined surface of the target object, taking into account the possible silting, fouling and deformation of this object. The developed system is implemented in the C++ programming language on the NVIDIA Jetson TX2 on-board computer. The results of recognition of underwater objects using a Zed2 stereo camera placed in a sealed box, calibrated in an aquatic environment using the OpenCV library method, are presented. The experimental data obtained were used to simulate the process of manipulation operation performed by the manipulator of the UUV in the software packages CoppeliaSim and Matlab/Simulink. The research results confirmed the operability and high efficiency of the proposed system. © 2022 IEEE.

Skin cancer poses a serious global health challenge, where timely and precise diagnosis is essential to improve patient outcomes. Recently, neural networks have proven to be highly effective tools for automated skin cancer classification, significantly advancing the field of dermatology. This paper introduces a novel approach to generate edge maps from dermoscopic images using a holistically nested edge detector model. These edge maps enhance the detection of shape and symmetry irregularities, which are key indicators of malignancy, and improve the focus on relevant regions of interest. We then propose an edge-guided dual-branch neural network, called EDB-Net, for the classification task. Branch 1 handles edge maps, while Branch 2 processes original dermoscopic images. To highlight significant regions and focus on specific lesion areas, we incorporate a novel channel-spatial synergistic attention block within Branch 2. Additionally, we introduce a unique strategy to modulate the generated attention maps using edge features extracted from the edge maps in Branch 1, creating edge-guided features that refine the overall feature representation. In the final stage, both edge-guided and attention-aided features are combined, producing more distinct and contextually relevant outputs, thereby significantly enhancing classification performance. Our model achieves accuracies of 0.927 and 0.848 on the challenging HAM10000 and ISIC 2016 datasets, respectively, without employing any data augmentation. In agriculture,LED light sources have increasingly replaced the standard luminescent lamps and have acquired an important role in plant *** studied the effect of different light sources such as narrow-band LEDs(bright blue,blue,green,yellow,deep red,and red)and wide-band LEDs(cold white,white,warm white,full spectrum,and an artificial solar spectrum sun box constructed by us)on development of potato plantlets in *** luminescent lamps were used as a *** light intensity of 49μmol·m^(-2)·s^(-1)was provided in all light *** showed that the long-wave narrow-band light treatments were inapplicable for potato micropropagation,because plantlets were weak with small leaves,inhibited roots,and significantly elongated *** lights provided growth of shortened plantlets with large leaves,well-growing roots,and abundant green *** chlorophyll content was lower under blue and bright blue light and was at the same level in the remained *** differences in the stomatal apparatus development were observed depending on the light *** differences were not always reflected in the plantlet phenotype:e.g.,plantlets under blue and bright blue lights showed no differences in any characteristics except stomatal density and size of stomatal guard *** found no significant effect of blue light portion in the white lights and full spectrum on plantlet *** artificial solar spectrum sun box was the most suitable for potato micropropagation,because it supported the development of plantlets with good fitness,uniform internodes length,abundant roots and green mass accumulation.

The paper presents a technology for the development of intelligent multi-agent services. This technology is put to reduce the labor-intensiveness of their creation and maintenance. Its key aspect is an independent development of knowledge and databases, a user interface and a problem solver (as a set of agents), and their assembly into an intelligent service. The principal specifics of the technology are: two-level ontological approach to the formation of knowledge and databases with a clear separation between the ontology and information formed on its basis;the ontology-based specification of not only the domain terminology and structure, but also of the rules for knowledge and data formation, control of their integrity and completeness;division of all software components into procedural and declarative parts;unified semantic representation of the latter (including declarative parts of software components), etc. The proposed approaches are implemented on the IACPaaS cloud platform where expert-oriented formation of each service component with an appropriate tool is provided. Abstract: Theoretical studies of bond or free quantum states dependency at nanovolume on its geometry and size are one of the most complex problems of modern physics. The boundary conditions on the nanovolume surface makes impossible an exact analytical solution. In this paper we using the parabolic coordinates had found the solution of Schrödinger equation boundary value problem with zero boundary conditions on the surface of a paraboloid of revolution and a cutting plane perpendicular to the rotation axis. The energy spectrum in the ground and first excited states was analyzed and the exciton wave functions of these states were determined. It turned out that under the condition of intermediate confinement each exciton state is possible for definite geometry and size of the paraboloid of revolution. © Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. 2023. Oil refining is an energy-intensive process that continuously separates petroleum products. Refining companies are interested in products that meet all regulations and the efficiency of their production. It is possible to achieve cost minimization and increase the quality of the output product by using accurate soft sensors that can reliably predict the quality of the output product in real time. In this regard, research on the construction of reliable soft sensors in industrial production is necessary and relevant. To improve the estimation capability, the alternating conditional expectation algorithm, which is based on nonparametric optimal transformations, was used for nonparametric soft sensor design. As a result, the designed nonparametric soft sensor shows a better efficiency in predicting the quality index of the target distillation product with a significantly reduced root mean square error compared to multiple linear regression analysis.

In this paper, we have proposed a novel model, called Bonferroni Mean Operator-aided Fusion of Neural Networks (BFuse-Net). Here, we have taken advantage of the capabilities of four deep learning models as the base learners and then applied a customized attention method to prioritize different fine-grained features by passing their outputs via four parallel pipelines. Next, we have employed a novel aggregation method, a modified Bonferroni Mean operator, to merge the decision scores acquired from every pipeline, prioritizing their individual contributions above their interactions with others in the decision scores. Three medical image datasets— LC25000 (colon cancer), Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and Malaria Cell Images have been used for experimentation. The model yields state-of-the-art outcomes for the three datasets.
