The microscopic cascade prediction task has wide applications in downstream areas like "rumor detection". Its goal is to forecast the diffusion routines of information cascade within networks. Existing works typically formulate it as a classification task, which fails to well align with the Social Homophily assumption, as it just use the features of "infected" users while neglecting those of "uninfected" users in representation learning. Moreover, these methods focus primarily on social relationships, thereby dismissing other vital dimensions like users' historical behavior and the underlying preferences behind it. To address these challenges, we introduce the MSR (Multifaceted Self-Retrieval) framework. During encoding, in addition to the existing social graph, we construct a preference graph to represent "behavioral preferences" and further propose a modified multi-channel GRAU for multi-view analysis of cascade phenomenon. For decoding, our approach diverges from classification-based methods by reformulating the task as an information retrieval problem that predicts the target user with similarity measures. Empirical evaluations on public datasets demonstrate that this framework significantly outperforms baselines on Hits@κ and MAP@κ, affirming its enhanced ability. In modern battlefields, the stability of wireless communications is crucial for intelligence transmission, command coordination, and maintaining strategic advantage. However, with the rapid advancement of communication technologies, the electromagnetic environment has become increasingly complex, making intelligent decision-making in communication countermeasures a prominent research focus. However, most existing studies adopt deep learning and reinforcement learning methods, which require extensive data samples and computational resources. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a game-theoretic model for intelligent radio communication countermeasures under incomplete information. It quantitatively evaluates common attack and defense tactcis used in communication countermeasures and explores the mixed-strategy equilibrium of the game when both the attackers and defenders consist of multiple types. Furthermore, simulation-based comparative analyses are conducted to assess the factors influencing the utility of both the attacker and defender. The findings offer theoretical insights and decision-making support for the deployment of communication countermeasure strategies in practical military operations, contributing to significant strategic value. © 2025 institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc.. In the past three years, global COVID-19 pandemic not only impacted people's physical health but also significantly affected their mental health, which resulting in rapid increase of psychological problems. Emotions are a common manifestation of psychological changes, and some services (such as music, video, or psychological counseling services) can help users to adjust their emotions in a timely manner, thus to avoid bringing extreme events (e.g., running away from home or committing suicide). Therefore, how to perceive users' real-time emotions and then recommend the most appropriate services to users has become a challenge. To address this issue, this work proposes an approach for proactive services recommendation driven-by multimodal emotion recognition (named as PSRMER). Specifically, PSRMER first actively identifies a user's emotion with a multimodal emotion recognition model based on BiGRU and Transformer;Then, considering the user's emotion and preferences, PSRMER selects the optimal services based on an index-graph linking different emotions and various services;Finally, PSRMER proactively recommends the selected optimal service to the user. Extensive experiments have been conducted and the effectiveness of our proposed method have been proved. Moreover, the proposed method can also be used in smart education, smart transportation, smart elderly care and other modern industry fields. © 2023 IEEE.

Recently, the vision transformer (ViT) model of deep learning has achieved surprising performance in the field of computer vision and has been widely used in IoT edge devices. However, the training of ViT models requires a large amount of data and computing resources, which is a challenge for resource-constrained edge IoT devices. To solve the above problems, this paper proposed a lightweight ViT method based on transfer learning. The primary concept of this method is to train large-scale ViT models in the cloud (CloudViT) and deploying small-scale ViT models at the edge (EdgeViT). Firstly, through the method of transfer learning, some underlying parameters of CloudViT were utilized to construct EdgeViT. The purpose is to enable EdgeViT to learn from CloudViT, acquiring knowledge and improving its performance. Secondly, adding a randomly initialized LayerNorm layer before the MLPHead during the training process of EdgeViT, it can improve further model performance. Finally, Experiment results demonstrated that EdgeViT could achieve 91.3% of CloudViT’s performance with only half the parameters and floating-point operations (FLOPs). Moreover, finetuning EdgeViT with a 60% reduction in training time still allows it to achieve 81.3% of CloudViT’s performance. Relevant conclusions can provide technical support for the proposed method. © 2024 SPIE.

Hypergraphs generalize graphs in such a way that edges may connect any number of nodes. If all edges are adjacent to the same number of nodes, the hypergraph is called uniform. Thus, a graph is a 2-uniform hypergraph. Each uniform hypergraph can be identified with an autonomous dynamical state-space system, whose vector field is composed of homogenous polynomials. We consider the observability of dynamical systems, which possess this special structure. In control theory, the observability of a dynamical system asks for the possibility to reconstruct the systems state from an output trajectory, where the output is a projective measurement of the systems state. In addition, one can ask for the observable subspace of the state. Nonlinear systems, although observable at almost all points in the state space, may possess not-locally observable ones. The existence and location of such states are important for observability analysis and observer design. Recently, the observability of these hypergraph systems has been studied for the general case. We apply an extended deterministic observability test to uniform hypergraphs and also compute the not-observable states for different linear output maps. We are able to confirm the results of the recent study, at least for graphs with a small number of nodes, due to the computational complexity of our method. In addition, the not-locally observable states are computed for different combinations of measured nodes. © 2025 The Author(s).

Fenoxaprop-p-ethyl (FE) is one of the typical aryloxyphenoxypropionate herbicides. FE has been widely applied in agriculture in recent years. Human health and aquatic ecosystems are threatened by the cyanobacteria blooms caused by Microcystis aeruginosa, which is one of the most common cyanobacteria responsible for freshwater blooming. Few studies have been reported on the physiological effects of FE on M. aeruginosa. This study analyzed the growth curves, the contents of chlorophyll a and protein, the oxidative stress, and the microcystin-LR (MC-LR) levels of M. aeruginosa exposed to various FE concentrations (i.e., 0, 0.5, 1, 2, and 5 mg/L). FE was observed to stimulate the cell density, chlorophyll a content, and protein content of M. aeruginosa at 0.5- and 1-mg/L FE concentrations but inhibit them at 2 and 5 mg/L FE concentrations. The superoxide dismutase and catalase activities were enhanced and the malondialdehyde concentration was increased by FE. The intracellular (intra-) and extracellular (extra-) MC-LR contents were also affected by FE. The expression levels of photosynthesis-related genes psbD1, psaB, and rbcL varied in response to FE exposure. Moreover, the expressions of microcystin synthase-related genes mcyA and mcyD and microcystin transportation-related gene mcyH were significantly inhibited by the treatment with 2 and 5 mg/L FE concentrations. These results might be helpful in evaluating the ecotoxicity of FE and guiding the rational application of herbicides in modern agriculture. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

In today's world, connectivity and performance-driven technology are rapidly advancing each year, and new platforms and mechanisms are being utilized to enhance the security and performance of databases and cloud computing, which are trending in the global market. This examination focused on customer information security in cloud computing, i.e., information stockpiling security issues and how to control unapproved access to data by proposing access control;valuable measures were characterized subsequently, and an entrance control show was prescribed. Cloud computing can be described as an innovation that depends on the web and the sharing of resources. It has an adaptable foundation that customers can use with much of a stretch. With its wide event relationship, there are numerous obstacles to continuing with cloud computing because of security issues, mostly considering customer data security. The proposed study helped hesitant clients sensibly continue forward in the cloud while understanding the dangers of cloud computing. The research objective is to examine the security techniques employed in cloud technology to improve its performance by utilizing data mining within a unified cache system. We will apply the Apriori algorithm as a proposed solution to be used in a single cache while considering the security measures in the cloud. The study expects to apply this method to all cloud providers and vendors by entering data into a single cache mechanism that can be extended into different components and implemented using SPSS modelers to improve the security of the database. © 2024 IEEE.

Person re-identification (Re-ID) is a classical computer vision task and has significant applications for public security and information forensics. Recently, long-term Re-ID with clothes-changing has attracted increasing attention. However, existing methods mainly focus on image-based setting, where richer temporal information is overlooked. In this paper, we focus on the relatively new yet practical problem of Clothes-Changing Video-based Re-ID (CCVReID), which is less studied. First, given the dataset shortage, we build two new benchmark datasets for CCVReID problem, including a large-scale synthetic video dataset and a real-world one, both containing human sequences with various clothing changes. Moreover, we systematically study this problem by simultaneously considering the classical appearance feature and temporal feature contained in the video. We develop a dual-branch fusion framework that makes use of the information from both clothes-aware appearance feature and clothes-free gait feature. For better information fusion, a confidence-guided re-ranking strategy is proposed to adaptively balance the weight of these two categories of features.
