Training summarization models requires substantial amounts of training data. However for less resourceful languages like Hungarian, openly available models and datasets are notably scarce. To address this gap our paper introduces HunSum-2 an open-source Hungarian corpus suitable for training abstractive and extractive summarization models. The dataset is assembled from segments of the Common Crawl corpus undergoing thorough cleaning, preprocessing and deduplication. In addition to abstractive summarization we generate sentence-level labels for extractive summarization using sentence similarity. We train baseline models for both extractive and abstractive summarization using the collected dataset. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the trained models, we perform both quantitative and qualitative evaluation. Our dataset, models and code are publicly available, encouraging replication, further research, and real-world applications across various domains. © 2024, CC BY.

In this paper, we present a design-for-manufacturing approach of an aerosol-on-demand (AoD) jet-printhead using fluid dynamical modelling and simulation as well as experimentally determined parameters for modelling of the aerosol spray. Our AoD jet-printhead concept uses ultrasonic excitation to atomise small amounts of ink directly in the printhead. This allows both on-demand operation of the printhead and free rotational movement of the printhead in space during the printing process. Hydrodynamic focusing of the aerosol is achieved by an inflowing sheath gas in conjunction with a converging nozzle. A preliminary study is being carried out using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to validate the operation of the concept and to find a design-for-manufacture, which is realised using the facilities of our in-house workshop. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

This paper presents a solution to a problem that Khan Steel Company in Afghanistan encountered in their induction furnace. The motivation for deploying induction heating technology in the industry is outlined, including a description of the current situation. Basic approaches for managing this technology, critical to the industry's success, are also provided. The process of creating an induction heating model using the COMSOL Multiphysics environment is described, with emphasis placed on the importance of starting the machine and determining the system's dynamics once it is in production mode. Finally, an identification and control proposal based on the distributed parameter system is presented, followed by a demonstration of the proposed control system using simulation results.

The general scope the present model-based research is to analyse climate-neutral scenarios for Europe and to assess the respective resilience of the energy system. Two scenarios are therefore examined, one with an unrestricted global hydrogen market and the other with improved European energy resilience that limits pipeline imports of hydrogen from non-European countries. Key findings include increasing electrification of the heat and transport sectors, widespread use of Power-to-X appliances and, as a result, a doubling of total electricity consumption in Europe. On the power generation side, there is a need for massive expansion of renewables such as wind and photovoltaics. The analysis shows that a more resilient energy system will require additional electrolysis capacity, hydrogen storage and hydrogen grid capacity. The marginal cost of hydrogen will also increase as a result, and a higher price level will subsequently reduce the demand for hydrogen. The overall conclusion is that a transition from fossil fuels to renewables will, in any case, make the energy system much less dependent on imports and thus more resilient.

Differential flatness has been defined in the literature for continuous time dynamical systems and for discrete time systems. We define flatness of automata from the perspective of behavioral systems theory, and synthesize a flatness definition for hybrid automata. These new definitions allow for feedforward trajectory generation for flat hybrid automata. Additionally, we provide necessary and sufficient conditions of hybrid automaton flatness for different types of continuous state constraints and switching conditions, and how to compute whether a hybrid automaton is flat. We illustrate feedforward trajectory generation based on our findings for a robotic manipulator example.

A Fair and In-Depth Evaluation of Existing End-to-End Entity Linking Systems

Existing evaluations of entity linking systems often say little about how the system is going to perform for a particular application. There are two fundamental reasons for this. One is that many evaluations only use aggregate measures (like precision, recall, and F1 score), without a detailed error analysis or a closer look at the results. The other is that all of the widely used benchmarks have strong biases and artifacts, in particular: a strong focus on named entities, an unclear or missing specification of what else counts as an entity mention, poor handling of ambiguities, and an over- or underrepresentation of certain kinds of entities. We provide a more meaningful and fair in-depth evaluation of a variety of existing end-to-end entity linkers. We characterize their strengths and weaknesses and also report on reproducibility aspects. The detailed results of our evaluation can be inspected under https://***/emnlp2023. Our evaluation is based on several widely used benchmarks, which exhibit the problems mentioned above to various degrees, as well as on two new benchmarks, which address the problems mentioned above. Industry 4.0-compliant digitalization is intensively penetrating the industrial Eco-system, bringing its benefits by generating or improving new complementary functionalities and associated business, providing a feasible way to interconnect stakeholders within the value chain and supply-chain, as well as along the product and system's Life-Cycle, which can share digitalized data and information in form of Added-value Services. To facilitate perform those businesses, Industry 4.0-compliant service-oriented infrastructures are required. Functionalities and associated data and information can be provided/exposed and/or consumed as services by systems of Cyber-physical things. In the language of Industry 4.0, those physical things are identified as “Assets”. Each physical “Asset” has associated a Cyber-part, the so called Asset Administration Shell (AAS), which contains a set of digitalized Data/Information/Function-Models, i.e., Digital Twins, and responsible for supporting an Industry 4.0-compliant communication/networking of the digitalized Asset. The AAS is fully responsible for the provision, exposition, consumption, composition, orchestration of services. The broad adoption of the AAS in a digitalized industrial environment is mainly depending on the costs of the digitalization-migration-process, which needs to respond to a set of functional and technical requirements. Among others, requirements for using Low-Cost technologies supporting the implementation of AAS with low energy consumption, efficiency and flexibility, should essentially be fulfilled. In this scenario, the authors present a service-collector of AAS that is implemented in commercial low-cost technology and deployed in a common Industry 4.0-compliant network, using REST-API and and OPC UA based infrastructure. The rapid dynamics of changes in the definition of requirements when deploying new technologies means an increase in demands on the volume and scope of skills and knowledge of experts in the design of solutions and their implementation. PLC-based control systems designed for industrial automation can also be included in this problem area. The article deals with the possibility of rapid design and testing of PLC control algorithms using X-in-the-Loop techniques of Model-based Design approach. The control algorithm is implemented using visual programming techniques in the form of state diagrams utilizing the Matlab StateFlow tool. The given proposal is analyzed from the point of view of different approaches to the implementation of communication between the development PC and the real control PLC SIMATIC S7-300 connected to the real part of the model production line. Data exchange is carried out in two ways. The first way of communication is the exchange of uncompressed and compressed images of inputs and outputs via IP communication. The second way is to use the OPC UA architecture. The result of the article is a case study of the use of the XiL approach in the design phase of the control of the AFB Factory production line module with a summary of the possibilities, advantages and disadvantages of alternative partial solutions.

Human body motion tracking is a key technique in robotics, virtual reality and other human–computer interaction fields, for interactive mixed reality applications. Human motion tracking for rehabilitation is widely discussed by researchers in the last period, being motivated by the increased number of patients with motor function disability. For such patients rehabilitation is an important step to restore their functional capability to normal or close to normal. To reach this target, a patients’ activities need to be continuously monitored, and subsequently corrected. This involves accurate identification, tracking, and post-processing of movement. This paper thus proposes an open loop real time angle computation algorithm designed in Matlab®. Its efficacy was tested using an Arduino Nano® coupled with the MPU-6050 as the Inertial Measurement Units (IMU). The advantages of the proposed algorithm are presented by comparison with the already existing and widely used methods.

Fractional-order PID (FOPID) controllers have gained increasing interest in control theory in recent years, mainly to improve the performance and stability of complex systems. FOPID controllers are a generalization of classical PID controllers that have both integral and derivative orders of fractional order. This means that instead of having three tuning parameters as in classical PID, there are two additional degrees of freedom to achieve the control objectives. At the same time, the structure of the PID controller, so valued in industrial applications, is retained. A preferred method for designing FOPID controllers is the use of optimization algorithms. Different objective functions are used, such as the integral of the square error (ISE), the integral of the absolute error (IAE), the integral of the time-weighted absolute error (ITAE) or the integral of the time-weighted square error (ITSE), which must be minimized in order to adjust the five unknown parameters of the FOPID controller. There are several papers discussing different optimization methods and objective functions for different applications, but there are no general recommendations to help engineers choose the right method for their design. The present research compares three of the most well-known nature-inspired optimization techniques from the point of view of a FOPID controller design tool, using all the above enumerated objective functions. The analysis is realized both for processes with large time constants (such as thermal processes) and for dynamic systems (such as mechatronic processes), presenting the advantages and disadvantages of each method.
