The development of methodology and support tools of the design process and practical implementation of the manufacturing enterprise common information space (CIS) is considered. The proposed methodology allows top management, analysts, developers and IT specialists to respond quickly to changing organizational and technical conditions of production and impact of the external environment, to clarify and agree on requirements to elements of the enterprise control system, to continuously improve and modernize the CIS during the operation of the enterprise. It is shown that the application of existing methodologies and notations is not enough to ensure consistency at each level of CIS design with the corresponding program documents: business development strategy, functional strategies (including information technology development strategy, digital transformation strategy, etc.), project description and technical tasks for software and hardware development, etc. The proposed methodology involves using IDEF0 notation at the top level with decomposition and business process modeling in BPMN or eEPC notations at the middle level. For modeling and software development at the lower level it is proposed to use flexible development methodologies - the agile methods based on the use of corresponding models: user stories, abstract UML models, block diagrams. The advantages and peculiarities of practical application of the proposed methodology in the design of the CIS and elements of the production executive system of the manufacturing enterprise are considered.

With the increasing demand for heterogeneous Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) swarms to perform complex tasks in urban environments, system design now faces major challenges, including efficient semantic understanding, flexible task planning, and the ability to dynamically adjust coordination strategies in response to evolving environmental conditions and continuously changing task requirements. To address the limitations of existing approaches, this paper proposes coordination field agentic system for coordinating heterogeneous UAV swarms in complex urban scenarios. In this system, large language models (LLMs) is responsible for interpreting high-level human instructions and converting them into executable commands for the UAV swarms, such as patrol and target tracking. Subsequently, a Coordination field mechanism is proposed to guide UAV motion and task selection, enabling decentralized and adaptive allocation of emergent tasks. A total of 50 rounds of comparative testing were conducted across different models in a 2D simulation space to evaluate their performance. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system achieves superior performance in terms of task coverage, response time, and adaptability to dynamic changes. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. Due to their large power draws and increasing adoption rates, electric vehicles (EVs) will become a significant challenge for electric distribution grids. However, with proper charging control strategies, the challenge can be mitigated without the need for expensive grid reinforcements. This manuscript presents and analyzes new distributed charging control methods to coordinate EV charging under nonlinear transformer temperature ratings. Specifically, we assess the trade-offs between required data communications, computational efficiency, and optimality guarantees for different control strategies based on a convex relaxation of the underlying nonlinear transformer temperature dynamics. Classical distributed control methods such as those based on dual decomposition and alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) are compared against the new Augmented Lagrangian-based Alternating Direction Inexact Newton (ALADIN) method and a novel low-information, look-ahead version of packetized energy management (PEM). These algorithms are implemented and analyzed for two case studies on residential and commercial EV fleets. Simulation results validate the new methods and provide insights into key trade-offs. The contribution deals with is the material selection for spiroid gear. The combination of the softer material of one wheel with the harder material of the other wheel (or gear worm) is used for the trains of gears. The measurements were executed on the measurement stand comprising the machine aggregate with the spiroid drive. In Stage 1 of measurement, the spiroid gear was made of the steel gear worm and of the bronze wheel, in Stage 2 of measurements, it was made of the steel gear worm and of the plastic wheel. The efficiency was evaluated for various levels of the load moment, lubrication and material type used. © 2018 Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Many cities around the world implement the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) concept to reduce road traffic congestion. This concept implies the usage of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to ensure a better traffic flow, especially in crowded urban areas. Sensors networks became part of road infrastructure and have as main responsibilities to collect real-time traffic data and to send them to Traffic Management Centres (TMCs) which control further the traffic lights timings. Today's technologies meet some limitations in terms of efficiency. This paper starts with an overview of these limitations to create a path for discussing the challenges that the development of ITS will meet in the context of Future Networks (FN) 2030 concept. Based on this development path, the identification of current limitations and possible future challenges consists of an important step of this research. Further, the main contribution in this research is to show how the ITS shall adapt to meet the requirements of FN 2030 by providing an architecture for Future ITS 2030 that meets the general ITS needs.

In this paper, we address the problem of finding a minimal multi-modal sensor setup for motion classification in lower limb exoskeleton applications while maintaining the classification performance. We present an approach for a systematic exploration of the feature space and feature space dimensionality reduction for motion recognition using Hidden Markov Models (HMMs). We evaluated our approach using IMU and force sensor data with 10 subjects performing 14 different daily activities. We perform a dimensionality reduction on sensor feature level with single- and multi-subjects and we explore the feature space using fine-grained features such as the force value of a single direction. Additionally, we investigate the influence of physical characteristics on the classification quality. Our results show that a subject specific and general reduction of the sensors is possible while still achieving the same classification performance.

A new approach to robust clustering based on the search for cluster centers is proposed. It is based on minimizing the robust estimates of the averages and the sum of the functions of pseudo-distances to cluster centers. An algorithm of iterative reweighing type for finding cluster centres is proposed. The electrical energy system has attracted much attention from an increasingly diverse research community. Many theoretical predictions have been made, from scaling laws of fluctuations to propagation velocities of disturbances. However, to validate any theory, empirical data from large-scale power systems are necessary but are rarely shared openly. Here, we analyse an open data base of measurements of electric power grid frequencies across 17 locations in 12 synchronous areas on three continents. The power grid frequency is of particular interest, as it indicates the balance of supply and demand and carries information on deterministic, stochastic, and control influences. We perform a broad analysis of the recorded data, compare different synchronous areas and validate a previously conjectured scaling law. Furthermore, we show how fluctuations change from local independent oscillations to a homogeneous bulk behaviour. Overall, the presented open data base and analyses may constitute a step towards more shared, collaborative energy research. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Electric Vehicle (EV) penetration, renewable energies, and customer orientation of car manufacturers [1] enables synergies between energy supply, vehicle users, and the mobility sector. However, also new challenges arise [2] which we target to examine with three types of agents and their perspectives: EV user, power supplier and car manufacturer. Although many research papers in the literature describe single perspectives, a threefold contemplation of their connections as shown in Fig. 1, is still missing.
