A novel solution for power quality conditioning applied in distributed generation system is presented. Motion control has been a fruitful ground for applying variable structure systems (VSS) theory. This paper provides an assessment of the state of the art of the relevant theoretical results for sliding mode control. The design of a sliding-mode controller consists of three main steps. First is the design of the sliding surface, the second step is the design the control law which holds the system trajectory on the sliding surface, and the third and key step is the chattering-free implementation. The main contribution of that paper is a new method for surface sector design based on tensor product model transformation to reduce the chattering. The paper is concerned with the stability analysis of a feedback controlled resonant dual channel buck converter. The output voltage is controlled by using constant frequency PWM and PI controller. The analysis is based on the eigenvalues of the Jacobian matrix of the Poincare map function (PMF). After small perturbation determining the deviations of the state variables from the periodic trajectory, the Jacobian matrix is calculated without the need to determine the PMF itself. The introduction of the so-called auxiliary state vector greatly facilitates the calculation. Calculation and simulation results included helps the design of the control loop

The knowledge of human walking behavior has primary importance for mobile agent in order to operate in the human shared space, with minimal disturb of other humans. This paper introduces such an observation and learning framework, which can acquire the human walking behavior from observation of human walking, using CCD cameras of the intelligent space. The proposed behavior learning framework applies fuzzy-neural network to approximate observed human behavior, with observation data clustering in order to extract important training data from observation.
