The entire world is poignant towards the eco-friendly manufacturing stratagem;especially most of the plastic components were slowly replaced by the natural composites. In the automobile sector, some of the popular car manufacturers were concentrated to replace interior plastic materials with natural fiber-based composite materials. A novel development of bio-composite materials augments to reduce global warming and ecofriendly environment. In this research work, the agricultural waste of tamarind seeds powder is used as a bio-composite material, which is blended with Epoxy LY556 in various weight percentages and fabricated. The tamarind seeds powder varies from 5 to 30% with Epoxy resin, Methyl Ethyl Kethone Peroxide is used as an accelerator, and Cobalt is used as a Catalyst. The bio-composite plates were fabricated by the Compression moulding techniques. The mechanical properties of composite materials were studied in the enhancement of Epoxy resin's impact in the weight percentage range. © 2022

Adipose tissue adhesion remains challenging due to the difficulty in breaking through hydrophobic energy barriers created by fatty acids and other hydrophobic compounds to form effective adipose tissue closure. Here, we developed a cascaded diffusion-driven adhesive hydrogel capable of achieving the closure of subcutaneous adipose tissues through a competitive multi-hydrogen-bonded network, which was modulated by the controllable spatiotemporal diffusion of gelatin, tea polyphenols, and nicotinamide at the adhesion interfaces. We showed that nicotinamide-triggered cascade diffusion could promote the penetration of tea polyphenols and gelatin networks into adjacent adipose tissues in a topologically entangled manner, achieving self-reinforced interfacial adhesion with a peak adhesion strength greater than 100 kPa. Further, we demonstrated that the hydrogel could effectively close subcutaneous adipose tissues in pig models and activate immune and lipid metabolism-related pathways to prevent fat liquefaction, thereby promoting wound healing and inhibiting excessive adipose tissue fibrosis. This work not only presents a new solution for clinical closure of adipose tissues, but also provides innovative ideas for developing bioactive materials with hydrophobic interface adhesion functions. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

Hardware implementation of multi-objective differential evolution algorithm: A case study of spectrum allocation in cognitive radio networks

In this paper, a hardware solution for multi-objective differential evolution (MODE) algorithm is presented. The proposed hardware is developed as a co-processor and interfaced with PowerPC440 processor of Virtex-5 field programmable gate array to accelerate execution speed on an embedded platform. It is validated by optimising four standard benchmark functions and its execution time is compared with the same algorithm running on a 32-bit PowerPC440 processor. Further, as a case study, the proposed hardware is used to solve Spectrum Allocation (SA) problem in Cognitive Radio Network (CRN). In CRN, the available licensed channels are assigned to cognitive users using SA task while satisfying the multiple objectives posed by licensed users. The MODE core is integrated with the SA objective functions and developed as a MODE-based SA (MODE-SA) co-processor on an embedded platform for distributed CRN. The MODE-SA core has attained a speedup of 50-60× compared to the PowerPC440 implementation. Copyright © 2017 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

The demand for energy is increasing on a daily basis. The utilization of waste energy as reusable energy of human foot power is very relevant and important. On the other hand, many energy resources are being depleted and squandered. It will generate electrical force when people walk around it. The power generation of piezoelectric transducers is organized in a planned circuit alongside various parts that are connected in series under a mechanical design. The observing circuit is constrained by a customized Arduino Uno. These electrical charges will be stored in a super capacitor and can be used in low-power applications. The value of the DC voltmeter will be displayed on the LCD. This experiment yielded the most cost-effective solution. © 2022 IEEE.

Thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) are essential for enhancing the performance of high-temperature components in applications like diesel engines and gas turbines. This study investigates the effect of interface morphology between the top coat (TC) and bond coat (BC) on the thermal and mechanical performance of TBCs through finite element analysis (FEA). The irregular interface is modeled using a sinusoidal curve with varying amplitudes and wavelengths. Results show that amplitude have a more significant influence on temperature distribution at the interface than wavelength. Reducing the amplitude from 1/4 to 1/14 decreases the temperature difference between the peak and valley from 35 °C to 5 °C (an 85.7 % reduction), while increasing the wavelength from 6 to 16 causes a smaller reduction, from 36 °C to 27 °C (25 %). Stress analysis reveals that higher amplitudes result in greater stress concentration at the peaks, increasing the risk of coating failure. In contrast, an increase in wave number reduces stress concentration. Significant stress changes occur in the Y-direction with amplitude variations. At an amplitude of 1/4, compressive stress is observed at the peak and tensile stress at the valley, with maximum tensile stress reaching 0.12 GPa, increasing the likelihood of delamination. As amplitude decreases to 1/14, stress inversion occurs, with tensile stress at the peaks, though at lower values. These findings offer insights into optimizing the spraying process and TBC design to improve durability and performance in high-temperature applications.

Speech Recognition (SR), for all diverse languages, is still a big challenge. SR is predominantly used in telecommunication, medical documentation, car control, aviation, etc. SR involves breaking down an audio signal of spoken words into discrete units and then matching those units to words in a language model. The main target of SR is to attain healthier verbal communication amid humans and machines. Therefore, it is a good technology of the human-machine crossing point. The SR uses the Feature Extraction (FE) techniques for better accuracy. In this paper, various techniques for FE are discussed, and an overview is provided to assist in selecting the most suitable technique for achieving higher accuracy. The review highlights the importance of developing more accurate and robust SR systems to improve the user experience in various domains. Overall, it provides the manuscript deals with five different techniques, and among them, the Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) technique was found to exhibit a high level of accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

Machinability investigation on nickel-based super alloy under the influence of textured tungsten carbide inserts is performed in this current study. Machinability indicators such as surface roughness and tool wear have been investigated. Similarly, texture patterns such as dots, circle chain and zig zag shaped textures have been fabricated on CNMG120408 WC inserts using Laser source. The primary objective of the present investigation is to compare the performance of different types of tools when they are used with different parameters such as cutting speed, feed rate, and depth of cut. It has been observed that the surface roughness and tool wear of the dot shaped textured tool were lower when compared to the other types of tools. Dot shaped textured inserts and circle chain shaped textured tool was able to perform better than the other tool inserts. © 2022

Current scenario is look at Non conventional alternative fuel source to decrease its dependence on the foreign import of various oils. Amongst all alternative fuel offered Mahua oil, in which is changed to bio - diesel by means of transesterification process. The adding up of nano-metal additive to biodiesel during a variety of form considerably improves the properties and it contributes to improved behaviour of diesel engine by reduced emission. The experimental work is done to found the behavior, combustion and emission characteristic in the diesel-engine by means of Biodiesel fuels and Nano-metal Additives Titanium Dioxide. The Bio diesel is prepared by transesterification processes, then powder metal oxide is converted in to nano form by means of ball milling, CTAB (Cetyl Trimethyl Ammonium Bromide) is taken as cationic agent, then known quantity of TiO2 and CTAB Nano metal additives is mixed with the base fluid Mahua oil Methyl Ester (MOME) which is the biodiesel by Ultrasonication process. The blend which is obtained is tested by single cylinder four stroke diesel engines and can be noted that the adding of nano metal additive in the bio diesel improves the behavior, combustion and the emission characteristics of diesel-engine. © 2020 Elsevier Ltd. Gastric cancer (GC), which is commonly referred to as stomach cancer, is a kind of cancer that develops in the stomach cells. The gastrointestinal tract is a component of the alimentary canal, which is composed of a series of spherical muscular organs linked by a long, curved tube that passes from the inside of the mouth to the anus. Endoscopic gastroduodenoscopy (EGD) using an upper endoscope is a procedure that helps identify most stomach cancers because the endoscopic pictures that using filtering algorithm to increase endoscopic image tissue that are obtained vulnerable noises. Denoising is extremely important of the endoscopic images in diagnosis and subsequent medical care. On the basis of the endoscopic imaging data that has been obtained, filtering and denoising for image management were performed in order to obtain quality data and, as a result, to protect and safeguard the dependability of important clinical information. During the course of this study, numerous algorithms like Gaussian, median, wavelet, Weiner, filtering were performed on the selected endoscopic images and the resulting data has been statistically analyzed and characterized in detail. The various filtering algorithms were used on the endoscopic images and the results have been analyzed using a descriptive parameter statistical analysis approach. The skewness and kurtosis values for all the filtered images were calculated and compared. The results obtained from the parametric method were analyzed using various tools like ANOVA, t-test, z-test, linear regression, and covariance. The data obtained were used to calculate the ranking and percentile for analyzing the performance of the filters. Based on the results obtained from the analysis the good and best filter that can be used for denoising endoscopic images of gastric cancer was identified. © 2023 IEEE.
