The main objective of our research is to design a Collision Energy Absorption System that overcomes the drawback of all preliminary systems and to design a mechanism which absorbs the impact energy during the one to one collision which will reduce the damages caused to the car by impact energy i.e. collision and to save the lives of the humans who sit inside in a car. During the collision the hydraulic oil which is placed inside the cylinder will be pressurized. Since there is no space for movement of piston, the pressure continues to rise. This rise in pressure will be reduced by breaking of the balls which is placed inside the cylinder with oil. As the balls goes on breaking the piston has the space for movement and so that the pressure decreases. This is way the impact energy produced during collision is being dissipated inside the cylinder. The main goal of our project is inventing a absorption system which will protect the vehicle and the people inside. To design a mechanism this absorbs the impact energy during the one to one collision. To reduce the damages caused to the car by impact energy during the one to one collision. The internet has become an integral part of our daily lives, and it is the medium that connects everyone on the planet, allowing individuals to exchange their opinions, knowledge, and experience. Because this entire network of individuals is connected via the internet, they might be referred to as the 'internet of people'. What if the diurnal devices use by humans can also share their experiences with other things, communicate with us and work according to our commands using the internet as the medium. This whole idea is being realized under Internet of Things (IOT) technology. So, all the IOT devices or networks are developed to attain the above functionality and they are also equipped with three different layers of technologies namely Sensor, Communication and computational or processing technologies. This integrated network of various technologies is being developed to sort out the key human adversities such as water wastage, pollution, depletion of energy resources, health issues etc., and this paves way to establish a balance between the growing population and resources. © 2021 IEEE.

Influence of the extraction parameters on the cytotoxicity test results of Mg materials

Recently more and more researchers query the predictability of cytotoxicity results of biomedical Mg alloys obtained according to ISO 10993 due to significant difference between in vitro and in vivo corrosion. This study aimed to observe the influence of different extraction parameters(time, volume/surface ratio and medium composition) on cytotoxicity results and illustrate whether more predictable results could be obtained by adjusting the extraction parameters. The results showed that longer extraction time and smaller extraction volume/surface ratio improve the sensitivity of screening Mg materials by making inferior Mg materials release relatively more ions to the extract; and more predictable results could not be obtained by the way of simply adding bovine serum albumin(BSA) into the extraction medium to the same level in vivo or simply using fetal bovine serum(FBS) directly as extraction medium, since BSA and FBS accelerated the corrosion of Mg materials during extraction and they affected the cells’ health states during the test. In order to get more predictable results, in our opinions, it is necessary to establish a database of primary cells’ hazards(metal ions, p H and H2gas) tolerance and a set of in vitro corrosion test with high similarity in vivo, which is very difficult to realize now however.

Nowadays, Artificial Intelligence appears in the domain of goetechnics, underwater acoustics, tunneling, geomorphology engineering and also in several fields too. This paper focused on the prospectivefor machine learning approaches which are sub field of artificial intelligence especially in underwater acoustics domain. In this proposal, machine learning approaches such as light gradient boosting, logistic regression, and random forest classifier algorithms are used for categorizing rocks or mines from collected sonar dataset. Based on performance metrics such as precision, F-score, recall, execution time, accuracy and confusion matrix, evaluate overall performance of machine learning models. Here, the experimental results shows that among all classifier algorithms, light gradient boosting achieves greater validation accuracy as 95% also training accuracy as 100∗ moreover, random forest classifier achieves 100% accuracy during training phase. © 2023 IEEE.

A Magnetoencephalography (MEG) time-series recording consists of multi-channel signals collected by superconducting sensors, with each signal’s intensity reflecting magnetic field changes over time at the sensor location. Automating epileptic MEG spike detection significantly reduces manual assessment time and effort, yielding substantial clinical benefits. Existing research addresses MEG spike detection by encoding neural network inputs with signals from all channel within a time segment, followed by classification. However, these methods overlook simultaneous spiking occurred from nearby sensors. We introduce a simple yet effective paradigm that first clusters MEG channels based on their sensor’s spatial position. Next, a novel convolutional input module is designed to integrate the spatial clustering and temporal changes of the signals. This module is fed into a custom MEEG-ResNet3D developed by the authors, which learns to extract relevant features and classify the input as a spike clip or not. Our method achieves an F1 score of 94.73% on a large real-world MEG dataset Sanbo-CMR collected from two centers, outperforming state-of-the-art approaches by 1.85%. Moreover, it demonstrates efficacy and stability in the Electroencephalographic (EEG) seizure detection task, yielding an improved weighted F1 score of 1.4% compared to current state-of-the-art techniques evaluated on TUSZ, whch is the largest EEG seizure dataset. Quality models in industrial and engineering educational scenarios: A view from literature

Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to report a literature review which was conducted to trace the quality journeys occurring in industrial and educational scenarios. Design/methodology/approach - First, the literature was reviewed to trace the efforts made to implement quality models in industrial scenarios. Quality models include International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 9000 certification, Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA), Deming Prize and European Quality Award (EQA). Next, the literature was reviewed to trace the quality journey being undertaken in an engineering educational scenario. Findings - Modern engineering Educational Institutions (EEIs) are required to first accredit their programs by following Accreditation Board for engineering and technology (ABET)-based stipulations. Then, these EEIs have to strive to implement quality models. Research limitations/implications - Because of the low volume of research conducted, relatively very few papers dealing with ABET and quality models could be reviewed. However, the exhaustive review of most of these papers has overcome this limitation. Practical implications - First, modern EEIs should gain accreditation to ABET and then strive to obtain quality models. This endeavour would make fresh engineers employable in industrial scenarios. Originality/value - It appears that no researcher has so far attempted to examine the implementation of quality models in an engineering educational scenario. In this context, the results of the literature review reported in this paper could be utilized while implementing quality models in EEIs via ABET-based accredited programs. © 2012 Emerald Group Publishing Limited. This study investigates the synthesis, characterization, and catalytic performance of noble metal-supported cerium oxide (M/CeO₂, where M = Au, Pd, Pt, Rh, Ru) catalysts for ethanol steam reforming, a promising method for sustainable hydrogen production. A urea-assisted deposition approach was employed to deposit noble metal nanoparticles uniformly on CeO₂ without stabilizers, preserving the support's crystallinity and enhancing reducibility through strong metal-support interactions. Catalytic tests at 550 °C over 24 h revealed significant differences in activity and the products distribution based on the metal used. Rh/CeO₂ demonstrated the highest performance, achieving complete ethanol conversion and 37.75% hydrogen production, attributed to its efficient C─C and C─H bond cleavage. Pt/CeO₂ and Ru/CeO₂ also displayed high activity and stability, whereas Pd/CeO₂ and Au/CeO₂ primarily produced acetaldehyde due to preferential C─H bond scission. Post-reaction analysis confirmed minimal carbon deposition across all catalysts, with Rh/CeO₂ exhibiting the highest resistance to coke formation. These findings emphasize the importance of noble metal choice and metal-support interactions in optimizing catalyst performance. Rh, Pt, and Ru emerged as the most promising candidates for efficient hydrogen production. This study develops advanced catalysts optimized for renewable energy use for hydrogen production via ethanol steam reforming. © 2025 Wiley-VCH GmbH.

Transcription Factor EB (TFEB) controls lysosomal biogenesis and autophagy in response to nutritional status and other stress factors. Although its regulation by nuclear translocation is known to involve a complex network of well-studied regulatory processes, the precise contribution of each of these mechanisms is unclear. Using microfluidics technology and real-time imaging coupled with mathematical modelling, we explored the dynamic regulation of TFEB under different conditions. We found that TFEB nuclear translocation upon nutrient deprivation happens in two phases: a fast one characterised by a transient boost in TFEB dephosphorylation dependent on transient calcium release mediated by mucolipin 1 (MCOLN1) followed by activation of the Calcineurin phosphatase, and a slower one driven by inhibition of mTORC1-dependent phosphorylation of TFEB. Upon refeeding, TFEB cytoplasmic relocalisation kinetics are determined by Exportin 1 (XPO1). Collectively, our results show how different mechanisms interact to regulate TFEB activation and the power of microfluidics and quantitative modelling to elucidate complex biological mechanisms. © The Author(s) 2025.

With the growth of digital media data manipulation in today’s era due to the availability of readily handy tampering software,the authenticity of records is at high risk,especially in *** is a dire need to detect such problem and do the necessary *** this work,we propose an approach to detect the interframe video forgery utilizing the deep features obtained from the parallel deep neural network model and thorough analytical *** proposed approach only uses the deep features extracted from the CNN model and then applies the conventional mathematical approach to these features to find the forgery in the *** work calculates the correlation coefficient from the deep features of the adjacent frames rather than calculating directly from the *** divide the procedure of forgery detection into two phases–video forgery detection and video forgery *** video forgery detection,this approach detect input video is original or *** the video is not original,then the video is checked in the next phase,which is video forgery *** the video forgery classification,method review the forged video for insertion forgery,deletion forgery,and also again check for *** proposed work is generalized and it is tested on two different *** experimental results of our proposed model show that our approach can detect the forgery with the accuracy of 91%on VIFFD dataset,90%in TDTV dataset and classify the type of forgery–insertion and deletion with the accuracy of 82%on VIFFD dataset,86%on TDTV *** work can helps in the analysis of original and tempered video in various domain.

Commercial iris biometric systems exhibit good formance for visible wavelength （VW） data. To performance for near-infrared （NIR） images but poor per- address this problem, we propose an iris biometric system for VW data. The system includes localizing iris boundaries that use bimodal thresholding, Euclidean distance transform （EDT）, and a circular pixel counting scheme （CPCS）. Eyelids are localized using a parabolic pixel counting scheme （PPCS）, and eyelashes, light reflections, and skin parts are adaptively detected using image intensity. Features are extracted using the log Gabor filter, and finally, matching is performed using Hamming distance （HD）. The experimental results on UBIRIS and CASIA show that the proposed technique outperforms contemporary approaches.
