We investigate the dust mass build-up and star formation efficiency of two galaxies at z > 12, GHZ2 and GS-z14-0, by combining ALMA and JWST observations with an analytical model that assumes dust at thermal equilibrium. We obtained 3σ constraints on dust mass of log Mdust/M☉ 12. Given the young stellar ages of these galaxies (tage ∼ 10 Myrs), dust grain growth via accretion may still be ineffective at this stage, though it likely works efficiently to produce significant dust in galaxies at z ∼ 7. The star formation efficiencies, defined as the SFR divided by molecular gas mass, reach ∼ 10 Gyr−1 in a 10 Myr timescale, aligning with the expected redshift evolution of ‘starburst’ galaxies with efficiencies that are ∼ 0.5–1 dex higher than those in main-sequence galaxies. This starburst phase seems to be common in UV-bright galaxies at z > 12 and is likely associated with the unique conditions of the early phases of galaxy formation, such as bursty star formation and/or negligible feedback from super-Eddington accretion. Direct observations of molecular gas tracers like [C ii] will be crucial to further understanding the nature of bright galaxies at z > 12. © 2025, CC BY.

Comparative study on electroless composite coatings of textured and untextured Al-substrates

In the present work, electroless composite coating of Ni-P-MoS2 is deposited on EDM textured Al-alloy substrate. A comparative study is carried out to analyse the effect of textures (prepared through electrical discharge machining) on the coated surface properties. The coatings were analysed on account of their surface morphology through Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM), composition using Electron Dispersion Spectroscopy (EDS), surface roughness and topography by means of optical profilometer. Results indicate that the composite coatings produced on the textured surfaces have better deposition as compared to non-textured surfaces. The transfer of different elements i.e., Ni, P, Mo, and S on both the coated surfaces was confirmed from the EDS plots while the profilometer images showed the areal surface roughness parameters. © 2022

CO 2 laser cutting and electrical discharge machining (EDM) wire cutting are two advanced thermal energy-based methods widely utilized for precision profile cutting tasks. This study conducts a comprehensive experimental analysis of these techniques, focusing on their performance when cutting stainless steel grades AISI 316L and 304. The research evaluates key process parameters influencing the cut quality, aiming to achieve minimal surface roughness. Additionally, the surface morphologies resulting from both methods are thoroughly examined. By analyzing the cutting performance and tracking the outcomes for both techniques, the study identifies the most efficient cutting technology for these materials. Using a multi-objective optimization approach based on Genetic Algorithms, the study demonstrates a significant enhancement in surface roughness. The percentages of deviations for AISI 316 Stainless steel for 1.5, 2, and 2.5 mm thickness for CO 2 laser cut and EDM wire cut surfaces are 24.8%, 21.59%, and 35.61%, respectively, and also that The percentages of deviations for AISI 304 Stainless steel for 1.5, 2, and 2.5 mm thickness for CO 2 laser cut and EDM wire cut surfaces are 36.86%, 27.88%, and 22.96%, respectively. The optimized process achieves a superior surface roughness of cutting quality. These findings offer valuable insights into selecting the appropriate cutting method and parameters for achieving high-precision results in industrial applications.

Replication has been used in cloud storage systems as a way to increase data availability. Existing replication strategies proposed for cloud storage systems allow users to fix the replication factor to replicate data. The problem with this approach is that either the user under estimates or over estimates the replication factor due to which the performance of the cloud storage system is affected. In this paper, we have proposed support-based replication algorithm which decides the replication factor based on the popularity of the file and access frequency of the blocks contained in the file. We have also proposed efficient way of placing the replicas in the cloud storage systems in order to improve the performance. Our analysis on storage and average read access time indicates that the proposed replication algorithm requires less storage space and provides better average read access time in comparison with Hadoop distributed file system. One of the key business models of contemporary information technology is cloud computing. It offers users a range of services (hardware, software) with little user engagement and at a reasonable price. Utilising a cloud environment raises several challenges, chief among them being security and privacy. This study explores the issues and proposes a Lightweight Bcrypt Symmetric Key (LBSK) data encryption and decryption technique with key rotation. A variety of algorithms and Blockchain technologies are used to protect the information. Encryption is one of the most fascinating features of data security technology. An Aggregated Authority Certificate Provider (AACP) is recommended with blockchain authentication for secured cloud data audit, which lessens the burden on the data owner. The suggested AACP continuously runs on a cloud server and tracks user requests. For the non-trusted provider, the Hyperledger blockchain proxy re-encrypts data to increase protection and privacy. The Blockchain algorithm was used to encrypt the data from beginning to end, and it was then saved in the cloud. Without storing the data locally, a security degree, public verification, and performance factors must be taken into consideration. Compared to current methods, the proposed strategy is intended to deliver a better result. The Blockchain technique was used to encrypt the data from beginning to end, and it was then saved on the cloud. Public verification and performance considerations raise the security level for remote data verification without storing the data locally. In comparison to current methods, the proposed method offers a better result. © 2023 IEEE.

Due to increasing automobiles, power plants and factories, increasing of this automobiles, power plants produce the more emissions like CO, HC and NOx. So that the world is searching for the alternative fuel, which will not create any harm to the environment and also it would be less in cost. Biodiesel is one of the main solutions to the global energy crisis. In this present work studied the performances and emission characteristics of watermelon Seed Oil Bio-diesel (WSO). Use of additives for better combustion characteristics to the biodiesel. The blends of Watermelon Seed oil (WSO) with the additives Aluminum oxide are B10 + 20 PPM CeO 2 , B20 + 20PPM CeO 2 , B30 + 20 PPM CeO 2 . This blends were analyzed and their performance and emissions characteristics compared with performance and emission characteristics of diesel. Tests were carried out over entire range of engine operation at varying conditions of load. The engine exhaust gas emissions are reduced with increase biodiesel concentration.

Pyrochlore Gd2Zr2O7 are considered as an excellent candidate for treatment of radioactive waste forms, because of its superior physical, chemical and anti-irradiation properties. To investigate the phase and structure of pyrochlore Gd2Zr2O7 used for immobilizing Pu （Ⅲ）, trivalent europium was used as the simulacrum for plutonium with trivalence. The compounds of stoichiometry Gd2-xEuxZr2O7（0.0≤x≤ 2.0） synthesized by high temperature solid state reaction method, were analyzed with the help of XRD and Rietveld structural refinement method. The results indicated that the phases of compounds continuously kept the phase of pyrochlore under our experimental condition. The linear relation between a and x was discovered in the system of Gd2-xEuxZr2O7（0.0≤x≤ 2.0） at 1 773 K, which accorded with a = 10.538 41 ＋ 0.008 95 x, V = 1 170.373 32 ＋ 2.985 97 x.

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurological condition characterized by impaired functional connectivity (FC) networks in the brain. There are several brain networks associated with ASD that have been studied for ASD diagnosis, but the results are inconsistent. A functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) study was performed to address this gap by comparing brain networks among autistic individuals and individuals with typical development (TD) using data from the ABIDE-I and ABIDE-II databases. Blood oxygen level-dependent (BOLD) time series were extracted from 236 regions of interest (ROI) in fMRI data using three atlases: Gordon’s, Harvard Oxford, and Diedrichsen. Consequently, 27,730 nonlinear features are extracted from FC matrices, including fractals, non-fractals, and Pearson correlation coefficients (PCC). A parametric and nonparametric classifier was used to analyze the top 0.1%, 0.3%, 0.5%, 0.7%, 1%, 2%, and 3% of features based on the XGBoost feature ranking algorithm. In the study, we found that non-fractal brain FC measures can accurately identify ASD and TD more effectively than fractal and PCC measures. Classifiers performed well, with FC features at the top 0.3%. The classification model at OHSU was more accurate than the model at other sites. There was 100% accuracy at a single site and 96.17% accuracy at all sites using a multilayer perceptron classifier with non-fractal features. The classifier model shows that Cingulo-Parietal Task Control (13.6%), Retro-Splenial Temporal (RST) (13.3%), and Salience (11.6%) are significant contributors. The optimal performance was observed in features derived from networks such as RST and default (4 connections), auditory and Fronto-Parietal Task Control (3 connections), Cingulo-Opercular Task Control (COTC), and ventral attention (3 connections) within COTC (3 connections), visual and COTC (3 connections), and cerebellum and COTC (3 connections). The increasing demand of water in the country highlights the need to introduce low-input and water saving technologies for agricultural sustainability and crop production,mainly in semi-arid region.A study was conducted to minimize deep percolation losses from the furrow bottom under two different irrigation treatments viz.(1)furrow bottom with plastic sheet(T1)and(2)furrow bottom without plastic Sheet(T0).The physical and chemical analyses of soil profile were taken at a depth of 0-80 cm before and after crop *** dry density of soil slightly increased(0.01 g/cm^(3))under both treatments,while soil pH decreased under *** average yield was 8332 kg/hm^(2) and 7575 kg/hm^(2),with 21.56 m^(3) and 31.09 m^(3) total volume of irrigation water applied under T1and T0,*** saving percentages of water under treatments were 52.22% and 31.00% under T1 and T0 respectively as compared to the saving of water under traditional irrigation ***,better performance,in terms of crop production and water saving,was obtained with use of plastic sheet integrated with bottom of ***,it is suggested that the furrow irrigation method with plastic sheet may be used to preventing moisture and minimize deep percolation losses from furrow bottom.
