Biomolecular computing, including DNA computing, RNA computing and protein computing, is a kind of computing mode of information processing whose 'data' is biomolecule. In addition, the biomolecular computing mode using PNA molecule as 'data' was presented. This paper does not discuss PNA computing, RNA computing and protein computing because their research results are less. Clearly, it is a foundation problem to know well the structure and character of the 'data' (that is DNA molecules) in DNA computing. So, this paper mainly discusses the structure and characters of several type of DNA molecule. We usually adopt different DNA molecule for different problem or models. Now, the main kinds of DNA molecules used in DNA computing are single, double and sticker terminal DNA molecules. Secondly, the DNA molecules used in DNA computing have also hairpin DNA molecules and plasmid DNA molecule. Especially, the relationship between the 'data' (DNA molecule) and corresponding biomolecular model is discussed.

Crew postering system is a daily grind in the management of both corporation and enterprise. A fair and reasonable rostering method plays a very important role in the arousing worker's enthusiasm and improving the work efficiency. This paper presents a method of building models for automatic crew rostering mode with computer and advancing the multi-objective optimum scheme. The method to build models for crew rostering system is also discussed. The question to crew rostering system model is solved by genetic algorithms and simulated annealing algorithms. Simulation results show the correctness of algorithms. The actual data of the airways have justified its reasonability and efficiency.

This paper establishes a theorem of generalized chaos synchronization (GCS) for bidirectional discrete systems. Based on this theorem, one can construct new chaotic sys- tems which can achieve GCS among some of the state vari- ables. As a first application, a four dimensional bidirectional GCS discrete system (BGCSDS) is introduced, whose pro- totype is the Sinai map. Numerical simulation shows that two pair variables of the BGCSDS achieve GCS via a pre- designed transform H. Based on the BGCSDS an encryption scheme is intro- duced. This scheme has the functions of the authentication of the data, and the one-time-pad. The scheme is able to en- crypt and decrypt information without any loss. The analy- sis of the key space and sensitivity of key parameters shows that this scheme has sound security. The key space of the scheme is larger than 2300. It can be expected that our the- orem and scheme provide new tools for understanding and studying the GS phenomena and information encryption.

In this paper, we present a new and simple watermarking algorithm for halftone images. The method is based on the principle of error diffusion techniques for halftoning in order to embed a watermark to by creating a second image (a key type) from the halftone one. The security of this algorithm is guaranteed by the key which is image dependent and contains the secret information. In addition embedding is carried out so that the human eyes can not distinguish the difference between this key and the original image. Experimental results under different attacks have been carried out to demonstrate that the proposed algorithm performs efficiently in terms of robustness, capacity and imperceptibility. Results have shown that one can embed maximum bits as 100% with good quality watermarked images which are robust to geometry transform and cropping attacks.

Kernel principal component analysis (KPCA) has provided an extremely powerful approach to extracting nonlinear features via kernel trick, and it has been suggested for a number of applications. Whereas the nonlinearity can be allowed by the utilization of Mercer kernels, the standard KPCA could only process exact training samples which be treated uniformly and can't reflect prior information of data. However, in many real-world applications, each training data has different meanings and confidence degrees for population. In this paper, a new concept, called "fuzzy point data" which is defined by giving a fuzzy membership to each training sample, is proposed for helping us handle the confidence of data. We reformulate KPCA for fuzzy point data. Experimental results show our method could embody effects of different samples in constructing principal axes and supply a feasible method to control possible outliers.

Change-points detection is one of the important problems in data analysis. Traditional investigations on the detection of change-points considering little infection of noise always ignore the robust of the methods. In this paper, a highly robust regression-class mixture decomposition method is proposed for finding change-points in a large data set. By using this method, the problem of detecting change-point can be converted to determine the breakpoint of different regression classes. We can mine all of the regression classes first, and then determine the estimation of change-points by anglicizing the two joined regression-classes. So the change-points can be found with little prior information. The analysis of experiments shows that our method can detect change-points in a data set with a large proportion of noisy, which demonstrate that this method is very robust and effective in change points detection.
