In this paper, new approach for synthesis of the diagnostic system for navigation sensors of underwater vehicles (UVs) is developed and investigated. Proposed system is synthesized by using kinematic model of UVs and data fusion of sensors signals. The advantage of this approach is that it allows detecting and isolating faults in sensors of UVs at performance of underwater missions in unknown environment with unknown external disturbances. The results of performed simulation have completely confirmed the working capacity and high quality of the proposed approach.

This paper presents the new advanced approach for automatization of machining of nonrigid composites parts that have arbitrary geometrical form. This approach is based on using multilink manipulators with stereo vision system and allows not using the expensive individual equipment for parts rigid fixing before processing. This is achieved by special intelligent formation and correction of program's motions of manipulator cutting tool in real time using information about current position of processed parts from vision system. The results of performed simulations have completely confirmed the working capacity and high quality of the proposed approach.

The Si(111)2×2-In reconstruction can be considered as a precursor phase for the formation of the metallic 7×3 phases of In overlayers on a Si(111) surface. Using the ab initio random structure searching method, comparison of simulated and experimental scanning tunneling microscopy images, and resemblance of the calculated band structure to the experimental angle-resolved photoelectron spectra, we examined various 2×2 structure models with 0.5, 0.75, 1.0, and 1.25 monolayer In coverage. The only model which fits well all the requirements is the one-monolayer model, where three In atoms in the T4 sites form a trimer centered in the H3 site and the fourth In atom occupies the on-top (T1) site.
