Complexity of a task of sea ecological assessment, and first of all identification and monitoring of harmful algal bloom, compels to integrate facilities and activities of three research institutes of Far-Eastern Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences (institute for automation and controlprocesses, institute of Marine Biology , Pacific Oceanological institute). Equipment of three centers (Satellite Center, Center of Lidar Methods for Substance Research, Center for Harmful Algal Bloom and Bio-toxicity Monitoring) was used for this purpose. Originated capabilities allowed to organize comprehensive field and laboratory investigations for solution of this task. Description of methods used and preliminary results are presented.

The paper presents a reflectometric technique for interrogation of multiple fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors based on conventional optical time domain reflectometery (OTDR). The method proposed rests on the differential measurement of FBGs' response to a short probing laser pulse. Implementation of differential measurement principle using several reference FBGs allowed us to eliminate the susceptibility of the system to intensity fluctuations as well as to increase the measurement range as compared to the previous developments. The experimental threshold sensitivity amounted to ∼50 μstrain with the measurement range being defined by the number of reference FBGs and limited only by optical fiber tensile strength. Due to its simplicity, efficiency and usage of conventional OTDR equipment the proposed FBG interrogation technique can find a wide range of applications dealing with strain and temperature measurements.

In this work the method of advanced forming of program signal of UV's movement on desired spatial trajectory is offered. This method is based on simultaneous tuning of desirable UV's velocity and correction of target point position. The correction of target point's position is done by means of using of vector of UV's deviation from desired trajectory. It allows entering to input signals of UV's control system additional terms which allow forming additional control signal for compensation of UV's deviation from desirable trajectory. Results of computer simulation are shown that using of offered method of forming of program signals allow provide the UV's movement on desired spatial trajectory with maximal velocity practically on all it parties independently from these curvatures.

The present paper is devoted to the evaluation of stability analysis of multi-stage separation process (multicomponent distillation) control system based on the tray-by-tray nonlinear dynamic process model. The vector Lyapunov function (LF) jointly with comparison functions (CF) are proposed for the stated problem solution. The overall system of differential equations is decomposed on the subsystems so that the LF for each subsystem can be determined. It was shown that the unforced subsystems of distillation model are unstable. But the stabilizing effect of composite system is reached in a natural way by the interaction among these subsystems. This gives the possibility to formulate stability conditions using CF. The estimation of stability domain for multivariable fixed-structure composition (temperature) controller for two-product industrial distillation column is given as illustrative example.
