The growth in mental health issues and the demand for high-quality medical care have prompted the requirement of machine learning techniques in the psychological research area. For the better prediction of mental health complications, this work presents an up-to-date thorough evaluation of machinelearning algorithms. This article reviews the difficulties, limitations and future directions of using machine learning approaches in psychological health. By searching reliable databases, relevant studies and publications on machine learning methods were collected for predicting mental health related issues. For the completion of this work, 40 research outcomes were analyzed using screening and classification procedures. The analyzed works were categorized according to mental health conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression or anxiety, PTSD, and mental health conditions affecting children. While discussing the results, the difficulties and limitations that many researchers have encountered when studying mental health related problems were also considered. The paper also encompasses specific directions for future research work that are feasible and the need for utilizing varying approaches in machine learning for psychological health disorder predictions. © 2023 IEEE.

The objective of this study is to examine the effectiveness of a hybrid methodology that combines Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and k-Nearest Neighbors (k-NN) models in the context of energy prediction within data centres. The objective of this study is to improve the accuracy of predictions and the efficiency of operations by utilising the combined capabilities of these two machine learning approaches. The proposed LSTM-kNN model has superior performance compared to individual LSTM and k-NN models, as evidenced by a thorough assessment on sample data. It achieves a Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 9.45, Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of 12.97, and a coefficient of determination (R2) value of 0.89. The importance of model synergy in enhancing the accuracy of energy forecasts is shown by comparative analysis. The results of this study provide a significant contribution to the advancement of energy management methods in data centres. These findings provide vital insights for stakeholders, enabling them to optimise resource allocation, capacity planning, and sustainability initiatives. Proactive energy optimisation measures and cost-effective operational decisions are examples of practical applications. Potential avenues for future study encompass the exploration of supplementary machine learning techniques and the examination of the influence exerted by external factors on patterns of energy usage. In summary, this work highlights the significance of incorporating machine learning methods to tackle intricate issues in energy prediction and control in data centre settings. © 2024 IEEE.

A thorough analysis of Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) and how they might be used to improve AI gaming efficiency is presented in this research. Game developers now have never-before-seen possibilities for innovation, immersion, and personalization thanks to GANs, which have become a potent tool for producing realistic data samples across a variety of fields. This review investigates the architecture, training methods, applications, difficulties, and potential future directions of GANs in AI gaming through a thorough analysis of the body of research and publications. The review demonstrates how GANs can transform the game industry by highlighting their many uses in procedural content generation, texture synthesis, character animation, environment design, and content customization. Nevertheless, there are certain difficulties in integrating GANs into AI games, such as computational resources, mode collapse, training instability, and assessment *** well as legal matters. To tackle these obstacles, multidisciplinary research endeavors and cooperation across academic institutions, corporate entities, and regulatory agencies are necessary. Going forward, new avenues for study and developments in GAN technology hold great potential for getting over these roadblocks and opening up fresh possibilities in AI gaming. We can create a future where AI powered gaming experiences change the parameters of interactive entertainment and provide players globally with more engaging, varied, and personalized gaming experiences by utilizing the possibilities of GANs and addressing the related obstacles. © 2024 IEEE.

Video compression mainly focuses on reducing the file size of videos with little loss of quality, but most video compression algorithms on the market do not focus on clarity. Data compression is increasingly being considered as a necessary issue in larger engineering communities. Data compression using neural networks has been the main topic of some related research. The main objective of this study would be to apply the video in an amazing way with the help of an Enhanced Generative Adversarial Network (EGAN). EGAN was better to manage and produced better consistent results with fewer artifacts than other Neural Networks (NN). Deep neural networks (DNNs), recurrent neural networks (RNNs), generational adversarial networks (GANs), and various autoencoder (AE) variants have all been used for various compression methods. It would be a potential option for incredible movies. Based on significantly reduced sample input films, the proposed neural network was able to maintain high-frequency information and generate pleasurable sensory videos. A Residual Dense Block (RDB) is the sort of block utilized in the design. In comparison to previous state-of-the-art approaches, the comprehensive Mean-Opinion-Score (MOS) test, and the Video Multi-Method Assessment Fusion (VMMAF) test, reveal extremely substantial increases in terms of human experiential accuracy. The researchers are also proposing a new data pre-processing method based on the Deep Recurrent Neural Network (DRNN) that has been combined with two leading-edge coding standards, and the Adaptable Video Coding (AVC). The results show consistent encoding benefits across all sequences examined at multiple spatial frequencies, with an average bit rate savings of 4.0 percent relative to AVC. © 2025 IEEE.

The interest in skin cancer detection is growing remarkably because of the prevalence of this health condition worldwide. It improves the chances of survival and enhances general treatment outcomes when diagnosis has been done early. Most the traditional methods for skin lesion detection involve visual inspection performed by dermatologists;hence, it is time-consuming and, to some extent, subjective. Therefore, with the rise of deep learning-Artificial Intelligence, auto-detection of skin cancer has gained a foothold in improving diagnostic accuracy, hence treatment outcomes. The presented paper proposes a GAN-based approach for skin cancer detection by deep learning analysis of dermoscopic images, classifying them as malignant and benign. The proposed approach uses the generator and discriminator parts of GAN to obtain an effective discrimination between cancerous and non-cancerous lesions with high precision. The proposed method incorporates the native abilities of GANs for boosting diagnostic precision. GANs consist of two major components: a generator and a discriminator. These two adversaries collaborate with each other in a way to encourage the classification performance of the framework. The generator synthesizes the realistic data representations by augmenting the dataset with various variations of dermoscopic images. This helps not only to compensate for the insufficiency of annotated data but also to make the model generalize more robustly to diverse skin lesion patterns. At the same time, the discriminator learns to distinguish malignant from benign lesions with high accuracy by using the adversarial nature in GAN training. These results clearly indicate the effectiveness of the proposed GAN-based approach over state-of-the-art traditional deep learning models. GAN makes not only the detection system more robust but also reduces its dependency on large annotated datasets. © 2025 IEEE.

Breast Carcinoma, generally known as breast cancer, primarily affects women, though men can develop it as well. Because of the existence of breast tissue and exposure to female hormones, notably oestrogen, women are at a higher risk It's critical to diagnose breast tumors early. Several techniques based on machine learning (ML were used in this study to classify breast cancer using a dataset that was made available to the public. F-score, recall, precision, preciseness, and other performance metrics were used to evaluate these ML algorithms. Previous research and experimental findings indicate that Random Forest achieved the highest accuracy, with a remarkable accuracy rate of 99.12%. © 2024 IEEE.

Internet of Things (IoT) network transmit the data in an open environment and it can be intercepted by unauthorized users. Different sensors share their data with each other without authentication and it becomes a major security concern. Data privacy and integrity are other security issues. In this paper, a secure communication using mutual authentication model will be introduced to secure the transmisssion over IoT networks. It will isolate the communication between filed sensors and gateways as well as it will also protect the data exchange between gateways and server. Its performance will be analyzed using. Attackers are now using sophisticated techniques, like polymorphism, to change the attack pattern for each new attack. Thus, the detection of novel attacks has become the biggest challenge for cyber experts and researchers. Recently, anomaly and hybrid approaches are used for the detection of network attacks. Detecting novel attacks, on the other hand, is a key enabler for a wide range of IoT applications. Novel attacks can easily evade existing signature-based detection methods and are extremely difficult to detect, even going undetected for years. Existing machine learning models have also failed to detect the attack and have a high rate of false positives. In this paper, a rule-based deep neural network technique has been proposed as a framework for addressing the problem of detecting novel attacks. The designed framework significantly improves respective benchmark results, including the CICIDS 2017 dataset. The experimental results show that the proposed model keeps a good balance between attack detection, untruthful positive rates, and untruthful negative rates. For novel attacks, the model has an accuracy of more than 99%. During the automatic interaction between network devices (IoT), security and privacy are the primary obstacles. Our proposed method can handle these obstacles efficiently and finally identify, and classify the different levels of threats. A brief set of comparisons on detection accuracy and time measurements with some state-of-the-art methods are discussed in this paper. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Segregation of images is a critical step in processing images, computer vision, and a variety of other disciplines. Several image segmentation techniques are available, and in incorporating thresholding, zone is an area-based differentiation and corner-based recognition. A threshold segment is a simple and commonly used technique that involves setting a threshold value and dividing the pixels into two classes based on their intensity values. In the rapidly evolving landscape of electric vehicles (EVs), integrating the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) has opened up new dimensions in automotive technology. While enhancing vehicle performance, safety, and security, this advancement also exposes EVs to heightened cyber threats. To address this critical concern, we introduce GUARDEV: Guided Unified Adaptive Response for Defending Electric Vehicles, a novel Machine Learning (ML)-enhanced conflict resolution-based ensemble Intrusion Detection System (IDS) architecture. GUARDEV leverages the power of adaptive ML techniques to provide a unified and guided response in safeguarding EVs against sophisticated cyber-attacks. Our framework evaluates the effectiveness of three prominent ML models - XGBoost, Random Forest, and Extra Trees - in detecting specific categories of cyber threats. By harnessing the prediction confidence scores from these models, GUARDEV offers a nuanced and intelligent approach to recognizing and thwarting diverse cyber-attacks. Our research, grounded in rigorous experimentation using public IoV security datasets, demonstrates GUARDEV’s exceptional accuracy of 99.47% in intrusion detection. This remarkable achievement not only underscores the potential of ML in enhancing vehicular cybersecurity but also establishes GUARDEV as a powerful tool for creating safer, more secure EVs. GUARDEV paves the way for robust protection of internet-connected electric vehicles in today’s digital age by providing a guided, unified, and adaptive response to cyber threats. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
