Automatic path-oriented test data generation is not only a key problem but a hot issue in the research area of software testing today. Genetic algorithm (GA) has been used to path-oriented test data generation since 1992 and outperforms other approaches. A fitness function based on branch distance (BDBFF) has been applied in GA-based path-oriented test data generation. To investigate performance of this method, a triangle classification program was chosen as the benchmark. Using binary string coding, four combinations of selection and crossover operations were used to study performance of this method. Furthermore, the relationship between size of search space and average number of test data or average time was analyzed.

We demonstrate a novel method to segment the tongue image automatically with the mouth location method and active appearance model (AAM). With the help of a particular feature of the mouth, we could locate the dark hole's position easily and quickly. For the close relationship between the mouth and tongue, we would predict the approximate area of the tongue. Then we apply the AAM to segment the tongue from the image completely, which uses texture and shape of an object. During the AAM search, we constrain the initial displacement and size in the approximate area. For those images that failed to locate the mouth, we use a multi-initial displacement method during the AAM search to optimize the result. The experiment shows that our method is accurate and effective.

S-Box computation is a time-consuming operation in AES algorithm as it is required in every round. This paper proposes a novel type-2 fuzzy ontology, including a type-2 food ontology and a type-2 FML-based ontology, for diet assessment. In addition, the paper presents a type-2 fuzzy diet assessment agent. In the proposed approach, firstly, the nutrition facts of various kinds of food are collected from the Internet and the convenience store. Next, the domain experts construct the type-2 fuzzy ontology, then the involved volunteers are requested to input eaten items. Finally, the proposed agent displays the diet assessment of the input eaten items based on the constructed type-2 fuzzy ontology. The experimental results show that the proposed approach is feasible for diet assessment.
