With the rapid development of Natural Language Processing (NLP), text matching has become the basis of many downstream tasks in NLP, and the study of text matching is of great research significance for solving tasks such as question and answer and information retrieval in NLP. Most of the current text matching methods tend to have problems such as mismatch of grammatical structures and insufficient interaction information in sentences. In order to solve the problems of insufficient interaction information and lack of features and ability to capture keyword and sequence information in text matching, this paper proposes a text matching method based on multi-layer coding and soft attention mechanism. The method first embeds the text and sends it to a gating module for processing, then sends the processed result to a module containing a combination of multilayer coding and soft attention mechanism for further operations such as multiple alignment, and finally sends it to a classifier containing a three-layer fully-connected network for predicting whether the input text pairs match or not. The two modules proposed in this paper are practically feasible, and comparison and ablation experiments have been conducted on the publicly available datasets LCQMC dataset and BQ dataset, and the experimental results show that the two modules improve the accuracy of text matching by 2.44% and 1.02%, respectively.

Image-text matching is an important problem at the intersection of computer vision and natural language processing. It aims to establish the semantic link between image and text to achieve high-quality semantic alignment between the two modalities. However, the existing methods have the problem that the meaning expressed in the image or the complex narrative in the text cannot be fully understood due to insufficient feature extraction. Moreover, due to the essential modal differences between images and texts, how to effectively and accurately align the semantic contents in images and texts has become the key of research. In order to solve the above problems, this paper proposes a method based on feature enhancement and relationship interaction. When processing images, the proposed method fuses labeled features, region features and location features to represent images. When processing text, a combination of Bi-GRU and self-attention mechanism is used to represent the text. In order to further align the semantic content in images and texts accurately, this paper improves two relational interaction mechanisms by identifying connection relationships and learning association relationships. Thus, the relation enhanced embedding is obtained. Finally, it calculated the similarity of the enhanced embedding to judge the matching degree of the image and text. Extensive experiments on the public datasets Flickr30K and MSCOCO demonstrate the effectiveness of our method.

Text semantic similarity is a crucial research area in Natural Language Processing (NLP). However, traditional methods for calculating the similarity of short Chinese texts often fall short in accuracy and other crucial aspects. The Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory Network (BiLSTM) has demonstrated remarkable performance in computing the similarity of short Chinese texts by effectively capturing long-range dependencies and semantic information. Additionally, the multi-head attention mechanism considers the interaction between different text locations and semantic information, enhancing the model’s representative capacity. Building upon this foundation, our paper proposes an enhanced model known as SCTbilstmAttRdrop (SCTAR). This model is constructed based on a multilayer BiLSTM architecture and incorporates an SE-gated convolutional module and a convolutional multi-head attention-aware model. We conducted extensive evaluations using two Chinese short text datasets, Chinese-SNLI and CCKS2018_Task3. The experimental results unequivocally demonstrate that our SCTAR model surpasses other common methods in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 scores when tasked with computing the similarity of Chinese short texts.

We proposed and experimentally demonstrated a simple and novel photonic spiking neuron based on a distributed feedback(DFB)laser chip with an intracavity saturable absorber(SA).The DFB laser with an intracavity SA(DFBSA)contains a gain region and an SA *** gain region is designed and fabricated by the asymmetric equivalentπ-phase shift based on the reconstruction-equivalent-chirp *** properly injected current in the gain region and reversely biased voltage in the SA region,periodic self-pulsation was experimentally observed due to the Q-switching *** self-pulsation frequency increases with the increase of the bias current and is within the range of several *** the bias current is below the self-pulsation threshold,neuronlike spiking responses appear when external optical stimulus pulses are *** results show that the spike threshold,temporal integration,and refractory period can all be observed in the fabricated DFB-SA *** numerically verify the experimental findings,a time-dependent coupled-wave equation model was developed,which described the physics processes inside the gain and SA *** numerical results agree well with the experimental *** further experimentally demonstrated that the weighted sum output can readily be encoded into the self-pulsation frequency of the DFB-SA *** also benchmarked the handwritten digit classification task with a simple single-layer fully connected neural *** using the experimentally measured dependence of the self-pulsation frequency on the bias current in the gain region as an activation function,we can achieve a recognition accuracy of 92.2%,which bridges the gap between the continuous valued artificial neural networks and spike-based neuromorphic *** the best of our knowledge,this is the first experimental demonstration of a photonic integrated spiking neuron based on a DFB-SA,which shows great potential to realizing large-scale mult

The Internet of Things (IoT) is becoming an active research area because of its largescale challenges and implementation. But security is the major concern while seeing the dramatic expansion in its applications and size. It is challenging to independently put security mechanism in all the IoT devices and upgrade it according to newer threats. Furthermore, machine learning (ML) techniques could better apply the massive quantity of data produced by IoT devices. Thus, several Deep Learning (DL) based algorithms were introduced for detecting attacks in IoT. Therefore, this study develops a galactic swarm optimization with Deep Learning based Attack Detection and Classification (GSODL-ADC) Model in IoT Environment. The presented GSODL-ADC technique concentrates on the identification of attacks in the IoT environment. The presented GSODL-ADC technique utilizes deep autoencoder (DAE) as a classifier model which properly recognizes the attacks in the IoT environment. Followed by this, the GSO approach is utilized for the optimum hyperparameter adjustments of the DAE model, which leads to enhanced attack detection efficacy. The experimental evaluation of the GSODL-ADC algorithm is tested against benchmark dataset. The obtained experimental values signify the betterment of the GSODL-ADC technique for attack recognition purposes.

Although FKP has been recognized as a viable alternative to other biometric modalities, its adoption remains in the early stages due to its accuracy being lower than that of more competitive options. This research aims to bridge this performance gap by presenting an advancement in the classification of Finger Knuckle Prints (FKPs) using the Vision Mamba (ViM) model. The experimental study, conducted on a dataset from Hong Kong Polytechnic University containing 7,920 images from 165 individuals, evaluated the ViM model's performance against several pretrained classification models. ViM achieved an impressive accuracy of 99.1%, outperforming other models such as AlexNet (96.2%), SCNN (98.3%), and EfficientNet (98.0%), highlighting its superior capability in FKP classification. With around 7 million parameters, ViM balances complexity and performance, engineered specifically to capture fine-grained FKP features, such as texture and line patterns. Its use of weight decay mitigates overfitting, and it demonstrates resilience in occlusion scenarios by maintaining performance despite missing FKP components. Spatial attention mechanisms further enhance classification accuracy by prioritizing the most informative regions. Seventeen pretrained deep neural networks were evaluated for their effectiveness in classifying FKPs, with experimental results consistently demonstrating the superior performance of the ViM model. ViM exemplifies an advanced deep learning approach for biometric applications, combining high precision with efficient resource usage. Its versatile design – incorporating bidirectional SSMs for global context modeling and position embeddings for spatial awareness – extends its applicability to visual tasks beyond FKP identification. However, users should take its complexity and resource requirements into account for practical implementation. © 2025 The Authors

Augmented Internet of vehicle (IoV) network, providing natural infrastructure support for autonomous vehicle road cooperation (VRC), has been deemed as one of key enablers for autonomous VRC while simultaneously facing the challenge of impersonation, tampering or replay attack towards the high layer digital certificate for critical information. In this paper, we propose a heterogeneous scattering fingerprinting network (HSFNet) which amalgamates wavelet scattering and deep learning to achieve lightweight, rapid and reliable physical layer authentication by radio frequency fingerprinting (RFF) which employs the unique inherent hardware impairments within for vehicle-to everything (V2X) communication. Particularly, we first exploit a wavelet scattering network to extract RFF coefficients and eliminate redundancies within heterogeneous datasets. The establishment of a high-information-density datasets facilitates the efficient processing of extensive heterogeneous data, especially for resource-limited vehicles nodes. To improve the interpretability, we combine the multi-scale coefficients of input waveform and shapley values, formulating a complete interpretable framework and completing parameters tuning. Finally, considering heterogeneous applications in practical scenarios, we design a distributed federated learning framework which not only completes distributed training but also protects privacy with the resources-constrained intelligent IoV nodes. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed scheme maintains excellent performance while utilizing only about 25.7% of original samples, significantly improving identification accuracy. Furthermore, the identification accuracy of federated learning ultimately converges to 98.1%. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

Data privacy concerns are increasing significantly in the context of Internet of Things, cloud services, edge computing, artificial intelligence applications, and other applications enabled by next generation networks. Homomorphic Encryption addresses privacy challenges by enabling multiple operations to be performed on encrypted messages without decryption. This paper comprehensively addresses homomorphic encryption from both theoretical and practical perspectives. The paper delves into the mathematical foundations required to understand fully homomorphic encryption (FHE). It consequently covers design fundamentals and security properties of FHE, and describes the main FHE schemes based on various mathematical problems. On a more practical level, the paper presents a view on privacy-preserving Machine Learning using homomorphic encryption, then surveys FHE at length from an engineering angle, covering the potential application of FHE in fog computing, and cloud computing services. China, India, and the United States consume the most energy and emit the most CO2. According to ***, India's CO2 emission is 1.80 tnes per capita, which is harmful to living beings: hence, this study exhibits India's harmful CO2 emission effect and forecasts CO2 emission for the next ten years using univariate time-series data from 1980 to 2019. A multilayer perceptron is used in this study to analyse 2099 experimental data of binary systems made up of CO2 and ionic liquids and predict solubility. 33 different types of ionic liquids are represented in the dataset, which spans a wide variety of solubilities, pressures, and temperatures. In recent decades, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions have caused air pollution and environmental problems in several countries. A precise prediction is essential for managing and planning for the decrease of greenhouse gas emissions. Furthermore, the Modified Coyote Optimization Algorithm was used to extract required properties. The empirical data revealed that predictions obtained from Multi-Layer Perceptron's Neural Network (MPNN) were more accurate than those derived from other models. The MPNN-MCOA identified a link between CO2 emissions, economic growth, and entrepreneurship. Government, personal liberty, education, and pollution all have a negative correlation. We conclude by emphasising the critical role of machine learning in achieving carbon neutrality, from global-scale energy management to the revolutionary potential of atomic-scale MPNN-MCOA simulations for application development. As a result, one of the most reliable approaches for estimating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from agricultural regions and companies was recommended: the MPNN-MCOA model.
