Accurately estimating the State of Health(SOH)and Remaining Useful Life(RUL)of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)is crucial for the continuous and stable operation of battery management ***,due to the complex internal chemical systems of LIBs and the nonlinear degradation of their performance,direct measurement of SOH and RUL is *** address these issues,the Twin Support Vector Machine(TWSVM)method is proposed to predict SOH and ***,the constant current charging time of the lithium battery is extracted as a health indicator(HI),decomposed using Variational Modal Decomposition(VMD),and feature correlations are computed using Importance of Random Forest Features(RF)to maximize the extraction of critical factors influencing battery performance ***,to enhance the global search capability of the Convolution Optimization Algorithm(COA),improvements are made using Good Point Set theory and the Differential Evolution *** Improved Convolution Optimization Algorithm(ICOA)is employed to optimize TWSVM parameters for constructing SOH and RUL prediction ***,the proposed models are validated using NASA and CALCE lithium-ion battery *** results demonstrate that the proposed models achieve an RMSE not exceeding 0.007 and an MAPE not exceeding 0.0082 for SOH and RUL prediction,with a relative error in RUL prediction within the range of[-1.8%,2%].Compared to other models,the proposed model not only exhibits superior fitting capability but also demonstrates robust performance.

This work presents a quantitative evaluation of polymer-based Capacitive Micromachined Ultrasonic Transducers (polyCMUTs) for 3D Ultrasound Computed Tomography (3D USCT). The study was motivated by limitations of the currently used PZT fiber technology in terms of bandwidth and transmit sensitivity. We developed finite element models of polyCMUT elements consisting of 127 cells to predict the acoustic performance. We fabricated prototype transducers using a novel method for microstructuring polymer layers. The produced samples reach a fractional bandwidth of 116%, an opening angle of 44° and increase the transmit sensitivity by 54%, compared to the PZT fiber transducers. The developed models allow for accurate predictions of the acoustic field over a large range of angles and frequencies. More work is required to improve the reliability and reduce sample-to-sample variations. Based on the measured performance and the general properties of the technology, polyCMUTs are very promising for 3D USCT. © 2023 IEEE.

In recent years, a variety of emergency events have been occurring in buildings in countries. For there are some differences between male and female in movement ability and evacuation behavior, gender has a non-negligible impact on evacuation and decision-making of emergency events. Thus, it is of great practical significance to detect the gender of pedestrians at entrances or exits of buildings in real time to grasp the proportion of different gender people in buildings and to formulate emergency warning or evacuation strategies scientifically. In response to the requirement of rapid emergency response, this paper proposes a pedestrian gender detection method based on a lightweight object detection model YOLOX-Tiny. In addition, considering the inaccurate pedestrian gender detection caused by the change of pedestrian posture and camera angle, the attention mechanism CBAM is introduced to enhance the ability of filtering a large amount of redundant information, obtaining key information and acquiring pedestrian gender characteristic information. Through the experiments of self-made pedestrian gender datasets, the results show that the detection accuracy of the improved model is increased by 1.8%, and the detection speed reaches 251FPS, which can meet both speed and accuracy of pedestrian gender detection in emergencies. © 2024 IEEE.

The secured access is studied in this paper for the network of the image remote *** sensor in this network encounters the information security when uploading information of the images wirelessly from the sensor to the central collection *** order to enhance the sensing quality for the remote uploading,the passive reflection surface technique is *** one eavesdropper that exists nearby this sensor is keeping on accessing the same networks,he may receive the same image from this *** goal in this paper is to improve the SNR of legitimate collection unit while cut down the SNR of the eavesdropper as much as possible by adaptively adjust the uploading power from this sensor to enhance the security of the remote sensing *** order to achieve this goal,the secured energy efficiency performance is theoretically analyzed with respect to the number of the passive reflection elements by calculating the instantaneous performance over the channel fading *** on this theoretical result,the secured access is formulated as a mathematical optimization problem by adjusting the sensor uploading power as the unknown variables with the objective of the energy efficiency maximization while satisfying any required maximum data rate of the eavesdropper ***,the analytical expression is theoretically derived for the optimum uploading *** simulations verify the design approach.

Unmanned Autonomous systems are the vehicles/systems that operate without/less human interaction and carryout the operations by means of advanced electronic components as On-Board Computing technologies. Unmanned Autonomous systems are some of the most important applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the development of such technologies promote innovations in Advanced Intelligent technologies. Examples of Unmanned Autonomous systems are- Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV's), Unmanned Ground vehicles (UGVs) Unmanned Water Vehicles (UWV) those have made ground-breaking advancements in many real-world applications for societal needs. Some of the applications include from surveying to transportation to security surveillance etc. Most of the Unmanned Autonomous systems are operated through HCI (Human Computer Interface) like Ground Control Stations (GCS) or Joystick for commanding and controlling the vehicles via command is sent in the compatible format by which vehicles would understand for operations. However, a very less/no work is carried out to operate the vehicles through voice/speech and translate the same into the compatible format by which the system would understand. HCI technologies with speech/edge computing devices is increasing in operating the vehicles through voice/speech models running on the edge devices. However, the accuracy and real time performance of the interconnected devices plays a major role. In this paper, we propose to build one such system, operating on the edge computing devices for Unmanned Autonomous systems to operate through speech/voice commanding. In this paper, we present one such Autonomous unmanned system for operating UAV's using Cellular (GPRS) communication, using Deep Learning system (LSTM) network running on Edge Computing devices, working with DroneKit with Speech based Commanding system. Multidimensional data acquisition often requires extensive time and poses significant challenges for hardware and software regarding data storage and processing. Rather than designing a single compression matrix as in conventional compressed sensing, structured compressed sensing yields dimension-specific compression matrices, reducing the number of optimizable parameters. Recent advances in machine learning (ML) have enabled task-based supervised learning of subsampling matrices, albeit at the expense of complex downstream models. Additionally, the sampling resource allocation across dimensions is often determined in advance through heuristics. To address these challenges, we introduce Structured COmpressed Sensing with Automatic Resource Allocation (SCOSARA) with an information theory-based unsupervised learning strategy. SCOSARA adaptively distributes samples across sampling dimensions while maximizing Fisher information content. Using ultrasound localization as a case study, we compare SCOSARA to state-of-the-art ML-based and greedy search algorithms. Simulation results demonstrate that SCOSARA can produce high-quality subsampling matrices that achieve lower Cramér Rao Bound values than the baselines. In addition, SCOSARA outperforms other ML-based algorithms in terms of the number of trainable parameters, computational complexity, and memory requirements while automatically choosing the number of samples per axis. © 2025 IEEE.

A Cross-Domain Ontology Semantic Representation Based on NCBI-BlueBERT Embedding

A common but critical task in biological ontologies data analysis is to compare the difference between ontologies. There have been numerous ontologybased semantic-similarity measures proposed in specific ontology domain, but it still remains a challenge for crossdomain ontologies comparison. An ontology contains the scientific natural language description for the corresponding biological aspect. Therefore, we develop a new method based on natural language processing(NLP) representation model bidirectional encoder representations from transformers(BERT) for cross-domain semantic representation of biological ontologies. This article uses the BERT model to represent the word-level of the ontologies as a set of vectors, facilitating the semantic analysis or comparing the biomedical entities named in an ontology or associated with ontology terms. We evaluated the ability of our method in two experiments: calculating similarities of pair-wise disease ontology and human phenotype ontology terms and predicting the pair-wise of proteins interaction. The experimental results demonstrated the comparative performance. This gives promise to the development of NLP methods in biological data analysis.
