In gastroenteroscopy image analysis, numerous CADs demonstrate that deep learning aids doctors' diagnosis. The shapes and sizes of the lesions are varied. And in the clinic, the dataset appears to be data imbalanced. However, existing methods directly classify by texture and ignore lesions with various shapes and sizes. To address the issue above, we propose a deep neural network, which consists of multi-scale feature extraction, contrastive feature learning and a multi-scale feature fusion module. We train the contrastive feature learning module and multi-scale feature fusion module simultaneously to alleviate the issue of data distribution differences. Thus, the proposed network can better identify various categories. Extensive experiments on the Hyper Kvasir dataset show that the proposed Hybrid-M2CL outperforms the benchmark proposed by the dataset with 5.0% Macro Precision, 3.3% Macro Recall, 3.4% Macro F1-score, 3.3% Micro Precision, 3.6% MCC. In addition, it outperforms the SOTA by 1.1% Macro F1-score, 2.6% MCC, and 2.0% B-ACC.

The paper considers the use of a neural network for the binary classification of magnetic resonance imaging images to establish a possible disease of COVID-19. processing of input data and their reduction to one format is provided, and neural network software for binary classification is developed and its training based on about 60,000 open patient images. The using of developed software is universal for medical doctors or ordinary Internet users and does not require additional training. © 2022 IEEE.

The Large Language Model (LLM) has gained significant popularity and is extensively utilized across various domains. Most LLM deployments occur within cloud data centers, where they encounter substantial response delays and incur high costs, thereby impacting the Quality of Services (QoS) at the network edge. Leveraging vector database caching to store LLM request results at the edge can substantially mitigate response delays and cost associated with similar requests, which has been overlooked by previous research. Addressing these gaps, this paper introduces a novel Vector database-assisted cloud-Edge collaborative LLM QoS Optimization (VELO) framework. Firstly, we propose the VELO framework, which ingeniously employs vector database to cache the results of some LLM requests at the edge to reduce the response time of subsequent similar requests. Diverging from direct optimization of the LLM, our VELO framework does not necessitate altering the internal structure of LLM and is broadly applicable to diverse LLMs. Subsequently, building upon the VELO framework, we formulate the QoS optimization problem as a Markov Decision Process (MDP) and devise an algorithm grounded in Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning (MARL) to decide whether to request the LLM in the cloud or directly return the results from the vector database at the edge. Moreover, to enhance request feature extraction and expedite training, we refine the policy network of MARL and integrate expert demonstrations. Finally, we implement the proposed algorithm within a real edge system. Experimental findings confirm that our VELO framework substantially enhances user satisfaction by concurrently diminishing delay and resource consumption for edge users utilizing LLMs.

Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) tomography (TomoSAR) enables the reconstruction and three-dimensional (3D) localization of targets based on multiple two-dimensional (2D) observations of the same scene. The resolving along the elevation direction can be treated as a line spectrum estimation problem. However, traditional super-resolution spectrum estimation algorithms require multiple snapshots and uncorrelated targets. Meanwhile, as the most popular TomoSAR imaging method in modern years, compressed sensing (CS) based methods suffer from the gridding mismatch effect which markedly degrades the imaging performance. As a gridless CS approach, atomic norm minimization can avoid the gridding effect but requires enormous computing resources. Addressing the above issues, this paper proposes an improved fast ANM algorithm to TomoSAR elevation focusing by introducing the IVDST-ANM algorithm, which reduces the huge computational complexity of the conventional time-consuming semi-positive definite programming (SDP) by the iterative Vandermonde decomposition and shrinkage-thresholding (IVDST) approach, and retains the benefits of ANM in terms of gridless imaging and single snapshot recovery. We conducted experiments using simulated data to evaluate the performance of the proposed method, and reconstruction results of an urban area from the SARMV3D-Imaging 1.0 dataset are also presented. © 2022 IET Conference Proceedings. Precipitation Behavior and Mechanical Properties of Al-1.0mg-0.6si-Cu (Wt.%) Alloy Controlled by Cu Content

The precipitation and intergranular corrosion(IGC) behavior of Al-1.0Mg-0.6Si-Cu (wt.%) alloys with the addition of Cu ranged from 0.3 to 0.6 wt.% were investigated by optical microscope and transmission electron microscopy. The results indicated that the Cu addition significantly improves the hardness of the alloys during under-aging progress by accelerating the precipitation of GP zones. The addition of Cu has changed the composition of precipitation and facilitated the formation of β′′-Mg5Si6 precipitates with high density and fine distribution. When the Cu content is added to 0.6 wt.%, the type of precipitation has changed. In addition to the needle-shaped β′′ phase, a new-plate Q′ phase precipitated during peak-aging conditions. The 0.6 wt.% Cu alloy shows superior strength with tensile yield strength of 328 MPa, ultimate tensile strength of 368 MPa, and elongation of 16.0%. However, the IGC resistance decreased with the Cu content increasing from 0.3 to 0.6 wt.%, which mainly resulted from the segregation of Cu elements and the formation of continuous Q′ precipitates at the grain boundaries. © 2022, The Authors. C2P-CLIP: Injecting Category Common Prompt in CLIP to Enhance Generalization in Deepfake Detection

This work focuses on AIGC detection to develop universal detectors capable of identifying various types of forgery images. Recent studies have found large pre-trained models, such as CLIP, are effective for generalizable deepfake detection along with linear classifiers. However, two critical issues remain unresolved: 1) understanding why CLIP features are effective on deepfake detection through a linear classifier;and 2) exploring the detection potential of CLIP. In this study, we delve into the underlying mechanisms of CLIP’s detection capabilities by decoding its detection features into text and performing word frequency analysis. Our finding indicates that CLIP detects deepfakes by recognizing similar concepts (Fig. 1 a). Building on this insight, we introduce Category Common Prompt CLIP, called C2P-CLIP, which integrates the category common prompt into the text encoder to inject category-related concepts into the image encoder, thereby enhancing detection performance (Fig. 1 b). Our method achieves a 12.41% improvement in detection accuracy compared to the original CLIP, without introducing additional parameters during testing. Comprehensive experiments conducted on two widely-used datasets, encompassing 20 generation models, validate the efficacy of the proposed method, demonstrating state-of-the-art performance. Objective: Monitoring the depth of anesthesia (DoA) plays an important role for administering the drug injection during a surgery, i.e., preventing undesired awareness and inordinate anesthetic depth. Although the bispectral index (BIS) monitor is the golden standard system for the DoA monitoring, it is still not affordable for the developing countries. Alternatively, a low-cost electroencephalogram (EEG) headband can be used. The objective of this paper is to present a new algorithm for estimating the BIS values using a single frontal EEG channel. Method: In the first step, the EEG signal is filtered for the elimination of artifacts and is split into its sub-bands. In the second step, several linear and nonlinear features are extracted from each sub-band and fed to a random forest regression model in order to estimate the BIS. The performance of the proposed algorithm is assessed using EEG data recorded from twenty-four subjects during the general anesthesia and is validated in terms of correlation coefficient (CC) and absolute error (AE) between the reference and estimated BIS values. Results: The proposed algorithm achieved the mean CC of 0.83 and AE of 6.5 for intra subject variability and mean CC of 0.87 and AE of 5.5 for inter subject variability. Significance: Given the similar results for both intra and inter subject variability, the proposed algorithm has the potential to be used in the real-world scenario. © 2023 IEEE.

As one of the main irrigation canals in Ningxia, West Main Canal plays a very important role in the irrigation of the land nearby the canal, such as farms, meadows, and tree farms. Because of the long-term use of the Yellow River water for irrigation, the soil salinization in this area become more serious. In this paper, the problem of soil salinization along the West Main Canal in Ningxia is taken as the research object. 82 sample points in the studied area are chosen and a total number of 164 soil samples are measured for the eight main salt ions and pH value. Correlation analysis and principal component analysis are employed to study the distribution of the soil salinity ions and pH value. In addition, two dimensional interpolation is applied to obtain the spatial distribution of the total saltiness. It can be found that Cl-, SO42-, Ca2+, Na+ and HCO3- are the main salt ions and the main soluble salts are NaCl, KCl, CaSO4, Na2SO4 and CaCl2 in the soil of the studied area. The spatial distribution of the total soil salt is mainly in the patterns of north high and south low, far high and near low, up high and down low. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Fuzzy Granule Density-Based Outlier Detection with Multi-Scale Granular Balls

Outlier detection refers to the identification of anomalous samples that deviate significantly from the distribution of normal data and has been extensively studied and used in a variety of practical tasks. However, most unsupervised outlier detection methods are carefully designed to detect specified outliers, while real-world data may be entangled with different types of outliers. In this study, we propose a fuzzy rough sets-based multi-scale outlier detection method to identify various types of outliers. Specifically, a novel fuzzy rough sets-based method that integrates relative fuzzy granule density is first introduced to improve the capability of detecting local outliers. Then, a multi-scale view generation method based on granular-ball computing is proposed to collaboratively identify group outliers at different levels of granularity. Moreover, reliable outliers and inliers determined by the three-way decision are used to train a weighted support vector machine to further improve the performance of outlier detection. The proposed method innovatively transforms unsupervised outlier detection into a semi-supervised classification problem and for the first time explores the fuzzy rough sets-based outlier detection from the perspective of multi-scale granular balls, allowing for high adaptability to different types of outliers. Extensive experiments carried out on both artificial and UCI datasets demonstrate that the proposed outlier detection method significantly outperforms the state-of-the-art methods, improving the results by at least 8.48% in terms of the Area Under the ROC Curve (AUROC) index.
