Molecular dynamics (MD) task scales poorly due to the global barriers used to maintain neighbour lists. The paper presents the asynchronous algorithm for MD task simulation free from this drawback. The experiments with MD on various models of parallel dataflow computing system (PDCS) “Buran ” also presented. Synchronization in this algorithm relies solely on the local interactions between the cores responsible for nearby areas. The paper describes a series of experiments with MD task on cycle-accurate and behaviour block-register models as well as on PDCS emulator (on cluster) which allow to re-assessing capabilities of the created computing system. Scalability for the tasks with equal size on PDCS will be by one-two orders higher than on the traditional systems. Furthermore, the research has shown the possibility to create the simple version of basic algorithm, from which can be derived the more efficient completely asynchronous algorithm based on counting of the transmitted particles.

The study presents an analysis of universal JFET and CMOS differential stages (DS) circuits. Such cascades provide a smaller range of transistor currents (10-100 $\mu$A) compared to classical cascades. The described DSs are implemented on combined process technologies, and therefore can be designed on JFET, BJT or CMOS chips. In addition, gallium arsenide, diamond gallium nitride, thin-film TFT and silicon carbide transistors. A computer simulation of the static modes of the developed DSs and their current dependences is presented. The results of GaAs DS modeling and its frequency dependence are presented. © 2022 IEEE.

The well-known methods for evaluating the performance of digital circuits designed using the Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) or Reconfigurable System on a Chip (RSoC) use simplified elements delay model or the simulation of the final post-routing SPICE-netlist. SPICE simulation is highly dependent on the circuit size and the amount of used routing resources and can be time-consuming. Therefore, it's necessary to quickly evaluate the circuit performance before the verification stage using SPICE simulation. Performance evaluation is required after routing as well as at the other design *** article describes the developed method for the quick post-routing performance estimation. We show its necessity and present a step-by-step process of adding it in a whole RSoC design flow. This method uses software that performs static timing analysis using a characterized logic elements library in Liberty format and nets capacitive characteristics. The article also considers the advantages, limitations, problems and features of the proposed method.

Soft programmable IP-cores are usually used to speed up the integrated circuits design in FPGA. Soft blocks are formed from programmable logical FPGA elements independently from specific location on the FPGA and do not have pre-routed paths. Some FPGA architectures contain specialized resources to improve IP-cores design efficiency. It is necessary to consider these resources in CAD methods and components *** paper presents the comparative analysis of two types of soft IP-cores implementation. The first type utilizes the architectural features of the FPGA due to a special block library. The second one obtains the results of automatic synthesis in a standard elements basis. The final size of designed IP-cores and the amount of utilized routing resources are compared. Also, the paper describes the specifics of the FPGA routing resources usage and the other implementation issues of such soft IP-cores as an n-bit adder / subtractor, an up-to-N counter, and a shift register.

A brief information on the bipolar field-effect (BiJFET) array chip (AC) MH2XA030, designed to create radiation-hardened and cryogenic analog integrated circuits (ICs) for processing sensor signals, is presented. The features of the radiation-induced alterations in the parameters of bipolar transistors (BJTs), which must be taken into account when designing analog ICs on the AC, are considered. The electric circuits of the developed voltage comparators (VCs), which differ in fast response and power consumption, as well as the simulation results of their static and dynamic parameters on exposure to gamma emission and neutron flux, are presented. The designed VCs can find their application in the devices for space tool engineering and nuclear electronics. © 2020 IEEE.

The article provides an overview of the main equations based on the analysis of literature sources and the authors' own research, describing the dependence of the slew rate (SR) of BJT/CMOS operational amplifiers (Op-Amps) and the transient settling time in a nonlinear mode. In this case, the following variants of the throughput characteristics of the drivers of the integrating correction capacitance of the Op-Amp are considered: linear without restrictions, linear with restriction, piecewise linear with a dead zone, exponential, quadratic, quasi-linear with a section of increased steepness. The limits of the applicability of the existing equations for SR are determined. Recommendations are given for designing high-speed Op-Amps of a new generation. © 2022 IEEE.

The paper examines the use of residue number system (RNS) for hardware implementation of neural networks based on VLSI or FPGA. Widely known mobile neural networks that are highly accurate and best suited for implementation at hardware level have been explored. Major difficulties in their RNS implementationare examined. Several methods for solving the related problems are proposed: convolutions with step value greater than one, rather than previously used MaxPooling layers, are considered; non-standard activation functions containing only addition, subtraction and multiplication are investigated; efficient algorithm for scaling implementation is proposed and compared with conventional algorithm. Finally, we propose complete flow for design and transfer of MobileNet neural network to hardware level on RNS basis.

Modern control systems must be synthesized taking into account the nonlinear characteristics of real control objects to ensure the required quality and accuracy. Many methods for synthesizing nonlinear control systems are currently known. However, the practical application of most of them is difficult, since the initial equations of the nonlinear object must be converted to the special forms. This article considers an analytical method for synthesizing nonlinear control systems for nonlinear objects with differentiable nonlinearities. The control system is synthesized using a quasi-linear model (QLM form). This model is created on the basis of equations in the Cauchy form of the non-linear object. For this purpose, the partial derivatives of nonlinearities are found with respect to their arguments. Then they are integrated over an additional variable. The controller parameters are determined by solving a system of algebraic equations. The state variables of the non-linear object are assumed to be measurable. The integrated state controller provides zero error caused by the constant action, and the transient time is not more than the specified one. The value of the system error is equal to zero on change in the parameters of the system, as long as it is stable. The method can be used to create control systems of many industries with non-linear objects: Aircraft engineering, shipbuilding, automotive industry, agriculture and many others. © 2022 IEEE.
