This paper presents a knowledge graph-informed smart UX-design approach for supporting information retrieval for a wearable, providing treatment recommendations during emergency situations to health professionals. This paper describes requirements that are unique to knowledge graph-based solutions, as well as the direct requirements of health professionals. The resulting implementation is provided for the project, which main goal is to improve first-aid rescue operations by supporting artificial intelligence in situation detection and knowledge graph representation via a contextual-based recommendation for treatment assistance.

Society 5.0 is the logical further development of what has emerged in Germany under Industry 4.0. The concept proposed by Japanese is being applied to society. The effects on the world of work and social life are very far-reaching. In this paper, the example of “Computer Aided Journalism” will be used to illustrate one aspect of Society 5.0 from a historical and technological perspective in order to highlight the applications and possible implications for Society 5.0.

Individual usage profile (aka true usage profile) of military logistic vehicles (MLV) is highly dependent on types of operations, duration and areas of use. Compared to non-military vehicles, the operation life is considerably longer, mileage tends to be several times lower and the characteristics of the application area, including environmental factors, is much more diverse. Transparent and realistic determination of MLV's true usage profile facilitates, inter alia, optimal life cycle costing in particular operation costs. In practice, however, effects of non-usage, such as material degradation or damage during service of the vehicles are not explicitly recorded. Important aspects of assets management, such as identifying maintenance measures and logistic disposition calculations, are often conducted non-systematically and non-data driven but rather based on human experiential knowledge and manufacturer's specifications. Hence, the modelling and predictive analysis of MLV's true usage profile is subject to significant uncertainties. The body of knowledge in assets management does not consider the aforementioned problems. Therefore, lack of novel AI-enhanced approaches for modelling MLV's true usage profile is evident. This paper introduces an integrative, data-driven approach for identifying the true usage profile and thus improving the life cycle costing of MLV. The proposed approach involves an AI-enhanced analysis of heterogeneous data sources, such as sensor-, vehicle control-, GPS-, and logistics data as well as textual logbooks. It enables a transparent and realistic identification of MLV's true usage profiles, which facilitates accurate and timely calculation of life cycle costs under consideration of data quality properties. Finally yet importantly, classification of usage profiles enables a data-driven decision support system to provide i) proactive maintenance measures, and ultimately ii) to optimize distribution of vehicles and spare parts in decentraliz

The growth of online job-posting repositories provided job-seekers with access to a large number of potential jobs. User assessment of recommended jobs becomes especially a tedious and time-consuming task with the overwhelming number of job recommendations. To enhance the job-seeker’s ability to evaluate the suitability of a recommended job, we propose an explainable job recommendation system, which matches the user to the most relevant jobs based on their profile. Then, the system explains to the user why each job-posting has been recommended to them. The proposed system uses a knowledge graph (KG) structure to model job-postings and user profiles in one homogeneous structure. Graph relations between the job-seekers and job-postings are mined through natural language processing (NLP) of the textual content from job-postings and user-profiles. based on the graph structure itself and a customized named entity classifier, a human-readable explanation is generated for each recommendation and provided to the job-seeker. The explanation includes information about the matching factors that led the system to recommend a certain job-posting to the user. The proposed system is implemented and tested on a sample data-set of user profiles and job-postings from open online repositories. We use BELU and Rouge-L scores to show that the proposed systems generated relevant explanations for recommended jobs.
