A novel feature selection approach with integrated feature sensitivity and feature correlation for improved prediction of heart disease

This paper presents a random forest-feature sensitivity and feature correlation (RF-FSFC) technique for enhanced heart disease prediction. The proposed methodology is implemented using the Cleveland heart disease dataset which comprises a total of 120 heart disease patient records. Data imputation was utilized for missing values, and min–max normalization was utilized for data transformation. We attempted to construct an RF-based classifier for coronary heart disease in this paper by combining feature sensitivity and correlation analysis. The sensitivity-based feature selection process ranks features according to their value in assessing CHD risk, and the feature correlation analysis phase analyses if there are any correlations between features. The heart disease prediction accuracy of 81.16% was obtained using the proposed RF-FSFCA technique by omitting five features (sex, hemoglobin, TD, CRF, and cirrhosis). When compared to the Naïve Bayes, decision tree, regression analysis, and support vector machine models, the proposed model offered a higher accuracy of 86.141% without omitting any features. It also offered sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), and negative predictive value (NPV) scores of 87.321%, 87.364%, 91.23, and 91.02 respectively. Experiment findings demonstrated that the proposed RF-FSFC approach significantly improves prediction accuracy as compared to other approaches that do not use the integrated Feature selection method. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

The Polynomial-Time Hierarchy (PH) is a staple of classical complexity theory, with applications spanning randomized computation to circuit lower bounds to "quantum advantage" analyses for near-term quantum computers. quantumly, however, despite the fact that at least four definitions of quantum PH exist, it has been challenging to prove analogues for these of even basic facts from PH. This work studies three quantum-verifier based generalizations of PH, two of which are from [Gharibian, Santha, Sikora, Sundaram, Yirka, 2022] and use classical strings (QCPH) and quantum mixed states (QPH) as proofs, and one of which is new to this work, utilizing quantum pure states (pureQPH) as proofs. We first resolve several open problems from [GSSSY22], including a collapse theorem and a Karp-Lipton theorem for QCPH. Then, for our new class pureQPH, we show one-sided error reduction pureQPH, as well as the first bounds relating these quantum variants of PH, namely QCPH ⊆ pureQPH ⊆ EXPPP © Avantika Agarwal, Sevag Gharibian, Venkata Koppula, and Dorian Rudolph.

Speech enhancement is the task of taking a noisy speech input and pro-ducing an enhanced speech *** recent years,the need for speech enhance-ment has been increased due to challenges that occurred in various applications such as hearing aids,Automatic Speech Recognition(ASR),and mobile speech communication *** of the Speech Enhancement research work has been carried out for English,Chinese,and other European *** a few research works involve speech enhancement in Indian regional *** this paper,we propose a two-fold architecture to perform speech enhancement for Tamil speech signal based on convolutional recurrent neural network(CRN)that addresses the speech enhancement in a real-time single channel or track of sound created by the *** theﬁrst stage mask based long short-term mem-ory(LSTM)is used for noise suppression along with loss function and in the sec-ond stage,Convolutional Encoder-Decoder(CED)is used for speech *** proposed model is evaluated on various speaker and noisy environments like Babble noise,car noise,and white Gaussian *** proposed CRN model improves speech quality by 0.1 points when compared with the LSTM base model and also CRN requires fewer parameters for *** performance of the pro-posed model is outstanding even in low Signal to Noise Ratio(SNR).

TRS Scheduling for Improved QoS Performance in Cloud System

Numerous methods are analysed in detail to improve task schedulingand data security performance in the cloud environment. The methodsinvolve scheduling according to the factors like makespan, waiting time,cost, deadline, and popularity. However, the methods are inappropriate forachieving higher scheduling performance. Regarding data security, existingmethods use various encryption schemes but introduce significant serviceinterruption. This article sketches a practical Real-time Application CentricTRS (Throughput-Resource utilization–Success) Scheduling with Data Security(RATRSDS) model by considering all these issues in task scheduling anddata security. The method identifies the required resource and their claim timeby receiving the service requests. Further, for the list of resources as services,the method computes throughput support (Thrs) according to the number ofstatements executed and the complete statements of the service. Similarly, themethod computes Resource utilization support (Ruts) according to the idletime on any duty cycle and total servicing time. Also, the method computesthe value of Success support (Sus) according to the number of completions forthe number of allocations. The method estimates the TRS score (ThroughputResource utilization Success) for different resources using all these supportmeasures. According to the value of the TRS score, the services are rankedand scheduled. On the other side, based on the requirement of service requests,the method computes Requirement Support (RS). The selection of service isperformed and allocated. Similarly, choosing the route according to the RouteSupport Measure (RSM) enforced route security. Finally, data security hasgets implemented with a service-based encryption technique. The RATRSDSscheme has claimed higher performance in data security and scheduling.

The pandemic creates a more complicated providence of medical assistance and diagnosis procedures. In the world, Covid-19, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS Cov-2), and plague are widely known pandemic disease desperations. Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic tragedies, various medical diagnosis models and intelligent computing solutions are proposed for medical applications. In this era of computer-based medical environment, conventional clinical solutions are surpassed by many Machine Learning and Deep Learning-based COVID-19 diagnosis models. Anyhow, many existing models are developing lab-based diagnosis environments. Notably, the Gated Recurrent Unit-based Respiratory Data Analysis (GRU-RE), Intelligent Unmanned Aerial Vehicle-based Covid Data Analysis (Thermal Images) (I-UVAC), and Convolutional Neural Network-based computer Tomography Image Analysis (CNN-CT) are enriched with lightweight image data analysis techniques for obtaining mass pandemic data at real-time conditions. However, the existing models directly deal with bulk images (thermal data and respiratory data) to diagnose the symptoms of COVID-19. Against these works, the proposed spectacle thermal image data analysis model creates an easy and effective way of disease diagnosis deployment strategies. Particularly, the mass detection of disease symptoms needs a more lightweight equipment setup. In this proposed model, each patient's thermal data is collected via the spectacles of medical staff, and the data are analyzed with the help of a complex set of capsule network functions. Comparatively, the conventional capsule network functions are enriched in this proposed model using adequate sampling and data reduction solutions. In this way, the proposed model works effectively for mass thermal data diagnosis applications. Information security is an important fabric of our world today. Technologies used in the development of information security have constantly been evolving in response to new threats. Cryptographic algorithms like the RSA, DSA, AES etc. are currently being used in securing information even over insecure channels. The coming of quantum computers has now posed a great threat to classical cryptosystems which can be broken in polynomial time thanks to Shor's algorithm. A good hacker with good quantum computing power can break into encrypted messages easily. The quantum Key Distribution (QKD) algorithm based on the BB84 protocol provides a solution to this problem. It makes it possible for communicating parties to exchange secret keys securely before a conversation can ensue. Verifying if these keys have been tampered with is a good first step to start before any other. QKD technology has made it possible to exchange these keys via an insecure channel and lets communicating parties know if an eavesdropper has tempered with the message. In this work, we discuss the QKD algorithm and simulated it on the newly released Intel quantum SDK. © 2023 IEEE.

The agricultural information system deals with massive amounts of data from heterogeneous sources. It helps the farmers gain accurate information by providing better insights. A significant issue in agricultural data is its unstructured form, which can be resolved through ontology - a novel framework known as AgriOntology is proposed to address this issue for the Agrovoc dataset. The data in the unstructured form is initially pre-processed through the Natural Language Processing approach to generate features for ontology construction. The BERT and Jaccard similarity are applied to establish a relationship between the features used to construct the Agri-Ontology. Post ontology construction, the BiGAN framework is used to analyze the performance. The performance of the constructed ontology is observed to have an accuracy of 94.64%, which is higher than the existing models. © 2025 IEEE.

Fixed-point quantum continuous search algorithm with optimal query complexity

Continuous search problems(CSPs), which involve finding solutions within a continuous domain, frequently arise in fields such as optimization, physics, and engineering. Unlike discrete search problems, CSPs require navigating an uncountably infinite space, presenting unique computational challenges. In this work, we propose a fixed-point quantum search algorithm that leverages continuous variables to address these challenges, achieving a quadratic speedup. Inspired by the discrete search results, we manage to establish a lower bound on the query complexity of arbitrary quantum search for CSPs, demonstrating the optimality of our approach. In addition, we demonstrate how to design the internal structure of the quantum search oracle for specific problems. Furthermore, we develop a general framework to apply this algorithm to a range of problem types, including optimization and eigenvalue problems involving continuous variables.
