Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are non-coding RNA molecules that play a significant role in cell regulation and disease occurrence. In recent years, the use of computational methods to predict circRNAs associated with diseases has become a research focus. However, these methods are often constrained by the noise interference and an insufficient exploration of the underlying information in known associations. Therefore, this paper proposes an information enhancement and arctangent rank approximation based method to predict potential circRNA-disease associations (IEARACDA). Firstly, information enhancement methods are used to make circRNA and disease similarity information more complete and to reduce the sparsity of known association. Subsequently, the arctangent rank approximation method is employed to mitigate the potential bias issues that may arise from the nuclear norm, and optimization is carried out using the inexact augmented Lagrange multiplier (IALM) method. Finally, potential associations are predicted through heterogeneous graph inference method. The experimental results demonstrate that IEARACDA exhibits superior performance compared to existing methods. Furthermore, case studies for hepatocellular carcinoma and lung cancer provide additional confirmation of the accuracy and practical significance of the model predictions. © 2024 IEEE.

Diabetes is a leading cause of death. People with type 1 diabetes (T1D) can face a number of consequences from their illness. Hyperglycemia is a symptom of T1D disease. Hyperglycemia can be symptoms that can be used for predicting diabetes in patients using the machine learning approach (MLA). Learning algorithms play a role in disease detection and prediction of decision-making. The leading cause of diabetes is really a high blood sugar level or a lack of insulin. As a consequence, it is critical to develop a reliable method to predict diabetes. Once it becomes a serious health concern, it will damage different organs such as the lungs, brain, nerves, blood vessels and heart as a result. Several approaches for detecting diabetes have been used in recent decades. Early diabetic diagnosis is currently very important to help the patients’ health, and this can be done by utilizing a variety of procedures. Tenfold cross-validation technique was used to train dataset for classification. In this paper, authors use different classifications of algorithms such as random forest, decision tree, logistic regression and multilayer perceptron for finding T1D patients. Current software development has moved away from the traditional manual workshop model and emphasizes improving software product quality. To address the issue of repetitive work, software reuse techniques can be adopted to continually enhance the quality and efficiency of software development. software reuse primarily involves reutilizing existing software knowledge during the software development process, effectively reducing maintenance costs incurred during development and controlling the overall software development expenses. software components are an effective form of supporting software product reuse and serve as the core technology for enabling software reuse. Component-based software engineering techniques emphasize the use of reusable software "components" to design and construct programs, aiming to assemble these components within a software architecture to achieve software reuse and improve the quality and productivity of software products. However, selecting the most suitable components from the results of component retrieval requires understanding the different usages of each component in the retrieval results. The existing methods suffer from excessive reliance on manual approaches and errors caused by inter-component relationships. Therefore, this paper proposes a component selection technique called UEBCS (Usage Example-Based Component Selection). This technique leverages steps such as clustering analysis and hierarchical classification to achieve optimal component selection. UEBCS has shown excellent results in terms of both efficiency and accuracy in selecting components. This method provides technical support for software developers in the software development process and holds significant practical significance for enhancing software development quality and efficiency, as well as promoting the deepening development of the software industry. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The rise of smart cities is directly connected to the increasing use of vehicles. The growing vehicle utilization has driven the emergence of Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs), facilitating instant information exchange among vehicles. The system provides essential information regarding road conditions, traffic patterns, and more relevant data. VANETs encompass two fundamental categories of communication exchanges, namely Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I). V2I technology facilitates the integration of cars and transportation infrastructure, enabling effective communication between vehicles and infrastructure. Nevertheless, the potential of V2I communication has various security concerns arising from prevalent security threats. Current authentication techniques encounter challenges regarding complexity, security, and privacy considerations. We designed a hash-based lightweight and anonymous authentication scheme to address the aforementioned restrictions and enhance the effectiveness of authentication in V2I architecture. This scheme effectively combines identity, password, and bio-metric to enhance resistance against impersonation, denial of service, and privileged insider attacks. The devised scheme distinguishes itself by a comparative analysis and security proofs, highlighting its superior capability in guaranteeing secure authentication in V2I communication. The comprehensive security analysis conducted formally and informally showcases the robustness of the proposed solution against several threats. The performance evaluation results show that our scheme demonstrates a decrease in the computational cost of 51.40% approximately and a reduction in communication overhead of around 22.57%. These results establish the efficiency and scalability of the proposed scheme as a viable solution for V2I architecture. © 2000-2011 IEEE.

MLOps Challenges in Industry 4.0

An important part of the Industry 4.0 vision is the use of machine learning (ML) techniques to create novel capabilities and flexibility in industrial production processes. Currently, there is a strong emphasis on MLOps as an enabling collection of practices, techniques, and tools to integrate ML into industrial practice. However, while MLOps is often discussed in the context of pure software systems, Industry 4.0 systems received much less attention. So far, there is only little research focusing on MLOps for Industry 4.0. In this paper, we discuss whether MLOps in Industry 4.0 leads to significantly different challenges compared to typical Internet systems. We provide an initial analysis of MLOps approaches and identify both context-independent MLOps challenges (general challenges) as well as challenges particular to Industry 4.0 (specific challenges) and conclude that MLOps works very similarly in Industry 4.0 systems to pure software systems. This indicates that existing tools and approaches are also mostly suited for the Industry 4.0 context. © 2023, The Author(s).

As software demand proliferates and software size and complexity increase, traditional software development models face enormous challenges. As a result, new software development techniques are being explored to meet the requirements of software development. The development of new software development techniques has begun to meet the requirements of software development. Based on many years of experience in object-oriented and component-oriented software design methods, we propose an innovative four-factor scripted analysis and design method for state transfer using the knowledge of computer compilation principles on finite state machine (FSM) circuit module automation. Optimization in ad hoc networks is a highly specialized task because the structure of the network is loosely formed, and each node is independently responsible for its operation. In order to obtain a better result from this solely formed networks this report offer extensive Dynamic Topology Management (DTM) method. Dynamic routing protocols lager lines, dividend balancing, Life-saving administration, guarantee of reliability, cross-layer design, security aspects and the on-time monitoring and discovery of topology changes are the main objectives and steps to be accomplished. Real-time Location monitoring and forest structure discovery are made possible by employing adaptive routing protocols, namely Dynamic Source Routing(DSR) and Ad-Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector(AODV). Also, the algorithms are capable of making advance adjustments to routing routes and resource allocations drawn from the mobility patterns forecasting which is vital. Load balancing methods, which distribute traffic in a network evenly, enable the system to run efficiently and avoid problems caused by overloading. Algorithms that are energy-efficient and make the best use of energy resources having their topology's optimized are introduced to the streamlined energy distribution systems. These algorithms are focused on the node's energy level. Through fault tolerance techniques which recognize and handle failures in nodes and partitioned networks, connectedness activity is a continuous one. Through QoS perception, the network topology might automatically be tailored to conform to the given quality criteria, thus not restricting the choice for differing applications. The proposed could have defenses against adversary nodes and their potential DDoS attacks which will enhance network protection. Yet another advantage of an architectural style that promotes cross-layer collaboration is enhanced topology management which is the goal around which the functions of various levels of the protocol stack revolve

Though traditional search methods shine when faced with local goals and a plethora of decision factors, they could struggle when faced with engineering design limitations. On the other hand, metaheuristic approaches promise to find global optima in real-world optimization problems, even in nonlinear and multimodal settings. In order to improve cluster head selection in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), this research presents a new metaheuristic method that combines the principles of Cuckoo Search method (CSA) and Selection by Optimization (SBO). When choosing a Chief Cluster Head (CCH), the CSA algorithm takes hop count into account, whereas SBO finds the best cluster heads by considering communication range. By comparing the suggested approach to both stand-alone SBO and CSA methods, we can see how well it performs in terms of throughput, latency, energy usage, delivery ratio, and packet overhead. The combined SBO-CSA method improves cluster performance, simplifies cluster head selection in WSNs, and increases network efficiency overall, according to the results. To prove its efficacy in enhancing network performance, the suggested solution outperforms standalone SBO and CSA approaches across a range of performance parameters, such as throughput, latency, energy consumption, and packet overhead. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.
