Flexibility and automatic learning are key aspects to support users in dynamic business environments such as value chains across SMEs or when organizing a large event. Process centric information systems need to adapt to changing environmental constraints as reflected in the user's behavior in order to provide suitable activity recommendations. This paper addresses the problem of automatically detecting and managing message flows in evolving people-driven processes. We introduce a probabilistic process model and message state model to learn message-activity dependencies, predict message occurrence, and keep the process model in line with real world user behavior. Our probabilistic process engine demonstrates rapid learning of message flow evolution while maintaining the quality of activity recommendations. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.

The ground states of some many-body quantum systems can serve as resource states for the one-way quantum computing model, achieving the full power of quantum computation. Such resource states are found, for example, in spin-52 and spin-32 systems. It is, of course, desirable to have a natural resource state in a spin-12, that is, qubit system. Here, we give a negative answer to this question for frustration-free systems with two-body interactions. In fact, it is shown to be impossible for any genuinely entangled qubit state to be a nondegenerate ground state of any two-body frustration-free Hamiltonian. What is more, we also prove that every spin-12 frustration-free Hamiltonian with two-body interaction always has a ground state that is a product of single- or two-qubit states. In other words, there cannot be any interesting entanglement features in the ground state of such a qubit Hamiltonian.

Contemporary organisational processes evolve with people's skills and changing business environments. For instance, process documents vary with respect to their structure and occurrence in the process. Supporting users in such settings requires sophisticated learning mechanisms using a range of inputs overlooked by current dynamic process systems. We argue that analysing a document's semantics is of uttermost importance to identify the most appropriate activity which should be carried out next. For a system to reliably recommend the next steps suitable for its user, it should consider both the process structure and the involved documents' semantics. Here we propose a self-learning mechanism which dynamically aggregates a process-based document prediction with a semantic analysis of documents. We present a set of experiments testing the prediction accuracy of the approaches individually then compare them with the aggregated mechanism showing a better accuracy. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.

Clinical practice guidelines are important instruments to support clinical care. In this work we analysed how activities are formulated in these documents and we tried to represent the activities using patterns based on semantic relations. For this we used the Unified Medical Language System (UMLS) and in particular its Semantic Network. Out of it we generated a collection of semantic patterns that can be used to automatically identify activities. In a study we showed that these semantic patterns can cover a large part of the control flow. Using such patterns cannot only support the modelling of computer-interpretable clinical practice guidelines, but can also improve the general comprehension which treatment procedures have to be accomplished. This can also lead to improved compliance of clinical practice guidelines. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.

Division approach of traffic control Sub-area is an important aspect for city traffic control. Aim at this problem, based on analyzing relative factors for traffic sub-area division, a new method with grey relation degree is put forward, this new method is not only easy to realize, but also able to describe the relation between intersection Quantitatively. Since the Mars Exploration Rovers (MER), Spirit and Opportunity, began their travels across the Martian surface in January of 2004, orbiting spacecraft such as the Mars 2001 Odyssey orbiter have relayed the majority of their collected scientific and operational data to and from Earth. From the beginning of those missions, it was evident that using orbiters to relay data to and from the surface of Mars was a vastly more efficient communications strategy in terms of power consumption and bandwidth compared to direct-to-Earth means. However, the coordination between the various spacecraft, which are largely managed independently and on differing commanding timelines, has always proven to be a challenge. Until recently, the ground operators of all these spacecraft have coordinated the movement of data through this network using a collection of ad hoc human interfaces and various, independent software tools. The Mars Relay Operations Service (MaROS) has been developed to manage the evolving needs of the Mars relay network, and specifically to standardize and integrate the relay planning and coordination data into a centralized infrastructure. This paper explores the journey of developing the MaROS system, from inception to delivery and acceptance by the Mars mission users. © 2011 by the American institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Inc. 本文提出了一种新的基于多层多基因表达式编程的进化算法M-MEP.本算法引入了多层超级染色体概念并采用多层染色体模型对个体进行并行表达，算法在解决函数发现和预测问题中取得了良好的效果.本文的主要贡献：(1)提出了基于多层染色体的多基因表达式编程算法M-MEP;(2)建立了不同子层染色体内部微基因跨层引用的模型以及多级存储结构;(3)提出了基于二维空间的染色体多元化遗传操作，包括二维交叉操作和二维变异操作.通过三组不同类别的数值分析实验和一组工业应用实验的对比分析结果表明M-MEP算法收敛速度快，进化结果精度高，算法的平均进化代数大幅降低.

The importance of anonymity has increased over the past few years in many applications. Herbivore is a distributed anonymous communication system, providing private file sharing and messaging over the Internet. In this paper, we utilize MCTK to model the round protocol of the Herbivore system and verify the anonymity and other knowledge properties that the protocol should provide, where MCTK is an OBDD-based symbolic model checker for temporal logic of knowledge developed by us, under the semantics of interpreted systems with local propositions. We model the round protocol of the Herbivore system in MCTK under the assumption that all agents have perfect recall of all observations. We implement the round protocol of the Herbivore system in MCTK and another epistemic model checker MCK. The encouraging experimental results show the validity of our MCTK. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.

The Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) presented the 2010 Fall Symposium Series on November 11-13, 2010. The eight symposia included Cognitive and Metacognitive Educational systems, Commonsense Knowledge, Complex Adaptive systems: Resilience, Robustness, and Evolvability, Computational Models of Narrative, Dialog with Robots, Manifold Learning and Its Applications, Proactive Assistant Agents and Quantum Informatics for Cognitive, Social, and Semantic Processes. Cognitive and Metacognitive Educational systems aimed to provide a comprehensive definition of metacognitive educational systems that is inclusive of the theoretical, architectural, and educational aspects of this field. The AAAI Commonsense Knowledge Fall Symposium had the goal of bringing together the diverse elements of this community whose work benefits from or contributes to the representation of general knowledge about the world. One of the specific goals of Proactive symposium was to gather the researchers from various projects in assistant agents to share their wisdom in retrospect.

It is significant for companies to ensure their businesses conforming to relevant policies, laws, and regulations as the consequences of infringement can be serious. Unfortunately, the divergence and frequent changes of different compliance sources make it hard to systematically and quickly accommodate new compliance requirements due to the lack of an adequate methodology for system and compliance engineering. In addition, the difference of perception and expertise of multiple stakeholders involving in system and compliance engineering further complicates the analyzing, implementing, and assessing of compliance. For these reasons, in many cases, business compliance today is reached on a per-case basis by using ad hoc, hand-crafted solutions for specific rules to which they must comply. This leads in the long run to problems regarding complexity, understandability, and maintainability of compliance concerns in a SOA. To address the aforementioned challenges, we present in this invited paper a comprehensive SOA business compliance software framework that enables a business to express, implement, monitor, and govern compliance concerns. © 2010 IEEE.
