This paper deals with the implementation of numerical methods for searching for traveling waves for Korteweg-de Vries-type equations with time delay. Based upon the group approach, the existence of traveling wave solution and its boundedness are shown for some values of parameters. Meanwhile, solutions constructed with the help of the proposed constructive method essentially extend the class of systems, possessing solutions of this type, guaranteed by theory. The proposed method for finding solutions is based on solving a multiparameter extremal problem. Several numerical solutions are demonstrated. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2019.

We consider the initial value problem in linear differential-algebraic equations and highlight the difficulties of the construction of numerical methods for these problems. We propose one-step difference schemes based on the collocation-variational approach and show the principal difference between these algorithms and the known difference schemes. The article is devoted to multiple circle covering problem for a bounded set in a two-dimensional metric space with a given amount of circles. Such statements arise in the construction of global navigation systems like GPS and Glonass. A similar problem appears in infrastructure logistics if there is a main servicing system and it is necessary to create a duplicate system to support service in the case of failure of one or more nodes. To solve this problem, we propose a computational algorithm based on a combination of the optical-geometric approach due to Fermat and Huygens principles and Voronoi diagram. A key feature of the algorithm is the ability to deal with non-Euclidean metrics. Numerical results and a comparison with known approaches are presented and discussed. © 2018

We test a novel idea of using a π- beam in the fixed-target experiments to search for New Physics in the events with missing energy. Bounds for invisible vector ρ meson decay were derived, analyzed, and compared with the current limits on searching Dark Matter in the accelerator based experiments. We demonstrate that the new approach can be effective tool to probe sub-GeV Dark Matter parameter space. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The link between ordinary Standard Model (SM) photons and both dark photons and axion-like particles (ALPs) can be introduced through the dark axion portal coupling. Given the dark axion portal setup, in the present paper we refer to the dark photon as the mediator between SM and dark matter (DM) particles, implying that it decays predominantly into a pair of DM fermions. Furthermore, we discuss in detail the implication of the dark axion portal scenario for the lepton (electron and muon) fixed-target experiments. In particular, for the specific fixed-target facility we study the missing-energy signatures of the dark photon production followed by its invisible decay into stable DM particles. We investigate the potential to probe dark axion portal vertices with regarding signatures and derive the expected sensitivities of NA64e, NA64μ, LDMX and M3. Moreover, we estimate the expected reach of NA64e from the projected statistics of the J/ψ vector meson invisible decays. We also recast the BABAR monophoton bounds for the specific dark axion portal scenario. In addition, we modify the dark axion portal setup by including in the model both the hadron- and lepton-specific ALP couplings. As a result, we obtain the bounds on the combination of fermion-specific couplings of ALP from the fixed-target experiments. We discuss the implication of the modified dark axion portal scenario for the electric dipole moments (EDMs) of SM fermions. In addition, we derive novel constraints on the combination of the CP-violating neutron-specific ALP couplings from the existing bounds on neutron EDMs by taking into account the neutron anomalous magnetic moment.

The high-performance computing systems include a large number of hardware and software components that can cause failures. Nowadays, the well-known approaches to monitoring and ensuring the fault tolerance of the high-performance computing systems do not allow to fully implement its integrated solution. The aim of this paper is to develop methods and tools for identifying abnormal situations during large-scale computational experiments in high-performance computing environments, localizing these malfunctions, automatically troubleshooting if this is possible, and automatically reconfiguring the computing environment otherwise. The proposed approach is based on the idea of integrating monitoring systems, used in different nodes of the environment, into a unified meta-monitoring system. The use of the proposed approach minimizes the time to perform diagnostics and troubleshooting through the use of parallel operations. It also improves the resiliency of the computing environment processes by preventive measures to diagnose and troubleshoot of failures. These advantages lead to increasing the reliability and efficiency of the environment functioning. The novelty of the proposed approach is underlined by the following elements: mechanisms of the decentralized collection, storage, and processing of monitoring data;a new technique of decision-making in reconfiguring the environment;the supporting the provision of fault tolerance and reliability not only for software and hardware, but also for environment management systems. QCD Phase Diagram at NICA energies: K+/π+ horn effect and light clusters in THESEUS

We discuss recent progress in the development of the three-fluid hydrodynamics-based program THESEUS towards an event generator suitable for applications to heavy-ion collisions at the intermediate energies of the planned NICA and FAIR experiments. We follow the strategy that modifications of particle distributions at the freeze-out surface in the QCD phase diagram may be mapped directly to the observable ones within a sudden freeze-out scheme. We report first results of these investigations for the production of light clusters (deuterons and tritons) which can be compared to experimental data from the HADES and the NA49 experiment and for the interpretation of the"horn" effect observed in the collision energy dependence of the K+/π+ ratio. Medium effects on light cluster production in the QCD phase diagram are negligible at the highest NICA energies but shall play a dominant role at the lowest energies. A sharp"horn"-type signal in the K+/π+ ratio can be obtained when the onset of Bose condensation modelled by a pion chemical potential results in an enhancement of pions at low momenta (which is seen at LHC energies) and would occur already in the NICA energy range. We propose an extension of the Standard Model (SM) with a UA′(1) gauge-invariant dark sector connected to the SM via a new portal—the Stueckelberg portal, arising in the framework of dark photon A′ mass generation via the Stueckelberg mechanism. This portal opens through the effective dim=5 operators constructed from the covariant term of the auxiliary Stueckelberg scalar field σ providing flavor nondiagonal renormalizable couplings of both σ and A′ to the SM fermions ψ. The Stueckelberg scalar plays a role of Goldstone boson in the generation of mass of the dark photon. Contrary to the conventional kinetic mixing portal, in our scenario, flavor diagonal A′−ψ couplings are not proportional to the fermion charges and are, in general, flavor nondiagonal. These features drastically change the phenomenology of dark photon A′ relaxing or avoiding some previously established experimental constraints. We focus on the phenomenology of the described scenario of the Stueckelberg portal in the lepton sector and analyze the contribution of the dark sector fields A′ to the anomalous magnetic moment of muon (g−2)μ, lepton flavor–violating decays li→lkγ, and μ−e conversion in nuclei. We obtain limits on the model parameters from the existing data on the corresponding observables.

In this paper, we develop new methods of local and global search for finding optimistic solutions to the hierarchical problem of optimal pricing in telecommunication networks. These methods are based on the fact that a bilevel optimization problem can be equivalently represented as a nonconvex optimization problem (with the help of the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker conditions and the penalty approach). To solve the resulting nonconvex problem, we apply the Global Search theory (GST).Computational testing of the developed methods on a test problem demonstrated workability and efficiency of the approach proposed. © Springer International Publishing AG, part of Springer Nature 2018.
