Stress is a state of mental or emotional strain due to adversative or challenging situations. A human may undergo bad life experiences or events, and it is a significant issue to be dealt in today's society. It comes as a result of family situations, health concerns, work environments and people's behavior among other things. It affects people of various ages, including children, teenagers, middle-aged people and senior citizens. It has serious consequences affecting human body and life. These problems can be addressed by detecting mental stress at an early stage. The main goal of the propounded system is to identify human stress using a pre-trained Mini-Xception model. Additional measures such as eye moments, mouth activity and head motion are employed for determining the level of human stress. FER2013 dataset is used and the system is tested for all kinds of emotions. Human stress level is experimented by capturing video using webcam. From the experimental outcomes, it is evident that the proposed system offers better performance in terms of Precision, Accuracy, Specificity and Sensitivity in contrast to traditional methods. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

This study delves into the crucial task of rumor detection amidst the rapid spread of information online, focusing on the efficacy of advanced dual co-attention ensemble models for ensuring digital communication’s reliability. By integrating Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) Representation, Self-Attention (SA) Models, and Bidirectional Encoder Representation from Transformers (BERT) Sentiment Models, alongside various Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques, the research examines the potential of these models to improve rumor detection accuracy significantly. The investigation encompasses eight distinct models: the GRU Representation Model, the SA Model, the BERT Sentiment Model, and various dual co-attention ensemble combinations thereof (GRU + SA, SA + BERT, BERT + GRU, and GRU + SA + BERT), employing a sophisticated voting mechanism for rumor classification. This comprehensive evaluation across key performance metrics Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and F1 Score revealed the substantial impact of leveraging dual co-attention ensemble model strengths, particularly through dual co-attention and a strategic voting mechanism. Among the dual co-attention ensemble models, the SA + GRU + BERT configuration emerged as a superior performer, achieving remarkable results with an accuracy of 93.5%, a precision of 92%, a perfect recall of 99%, and an F1 score of 95%. These findings underscore the dual co-attention ensemble models’ exceptional capability to address rumor detection challenges effectively. The study not only showcases the promising prospects of utilizing cutting-edge AI for rumor detection but also provides insights for refining these models further. It suggests avenues for future research, including model finetuning, ethical considerations, and the necessity for real-time monitoring. This research underscores the transformative potential of AI in enhancing the accuracy of online information, paving the way for future advancements in rumor detection. © The Author(s),

With the advent of the Web 3.0 era, the amount and types of data in the network have sharply increased, and the application scenarios of recommendation algorithms are continuously expanding. Location recommendation has gradually become one of the popular application scenarios in recommendation algorithms. Traditional recommendation algorithms not only ignore the temporal attribute of data when recommending information to users, but also blindly pursue the recommendation accuracy, which will cause certain "information cocoon room" problems. Therefore, this article treats user historical data as a time series and proposes an LSTM-DNN model based on the novel bidirectional Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) algorithm. Firstly, in response to the issue of different users consuming different amounts of information, this article proposes a novel bidirectional DTW algorithm to calculate the similarity between different users. Secondly, this article supplements the user dataset from three perspectives: "utilization" and "exploration" of information, and spatiotemporal attributes of data, which alleviates the problem of data sparsity and cold start in the dataset to a certain extent. Moreover, it effectively enhances the diversity of recommendation results. Finally, this paper constructs an Long Short-Term Memory-Deep Neural Networks (LSTM-DNN) to dynamically obtain user interests and preferences, and proposes a new metric Cumulative Self-System Diversity (CSSD) to measure the diversity of algorithm recommendation results. Crop yield prediction is a crucial task in agricultural science, involving the classification of potential yield into various levels. This is vital for both farmers and policymakers. The features considered for this task are diverse, including weather, soil, and historical yield data. Recently, plant images captured in different modalities, such as red-green-blue, infrared, and multispectral bands, have also been utilized. Most of these data are inherently temporal. Integrating such multimodal and temporal data is advantageous for yield classification. In this work, a deep learning framework based on meta-transformers and temporal graph neural networks has been proposed to achieve this goal. Meta-Transformers allow the modeling of multimodal interactions, while temporayel graph neural networks enable the utilization of time sequences. Experimental results on the publicly available EPFL multimodal dataset demonstrate that the proposed framework achieves a high classification accuracy of nearly 97%, surpassing other state-of-the-art models, such as long short-term memory networks, 1-D convolutional neural networks, and Transformers. In addition, the proposed model excels in accuracy metrics, with a precision of approximately 98%, an F1-Score of 91%, and a recall of 94% in crop yield prediction. © 2024 IEEE.

Tropical cyclones, characterized by strong winds and heavy rainfall, threaten human life in coastal regions crucial to the economy, including fisheries, agriculture, tourism, and infrastructure. Their frequent occurrence impacts communities reliant on these industries for livelihoods. Accurate estimation of tropical cyclone intensity is vital for disaster preparedness, risk assessment, and timely evacuations. Recent advancements in machine learning and deep learning have been applied to predict cyclone intensity from satellite images, providing insights into cyclone dynamics and enhancing disaster response. This paper analyzes recent research on intensity estimation using various machine learning algorithms and discusses future prospects for improving accuracy and reliability. © 2024 IEEE.

Sentiment analysis can be used to identify if a text’s sentiment is neutral, positive, or negative. One type of natural language processing is sentiment analysis. An interdisciplinary field encompassing linguistics, computer science, and artificial intelligence called “natural language processing” studies how computers and human language interact, with a focus on how to teach computers to process and analyze vast volumes of natural language data. Sentiment analysis, sometimes referred to as opinion mining or emotion artificial intelligence, is the methodical identification, extraction, quantification, and study of affective states and subjective data using natural language processing, text analysis, computational linguistics, and biometrics. Sentiment analysis is frequently used in online and social media platforms, voice of the customer materials (such as reviews and survey replies), and healthcare materials for marketing, customer service, and clinical medicine purposes. It is crucial to predict the outputs of a thickening system,including the underflow concentration(UC)and mud pressure,for optimal control of the *** proliferation of industrial sensors and the availability of thickening-system data make this ***,the unique properties of thickening systems,such as the non-linearities,long-time delays,partially observed data,and continuous time evolution pose challenges on building data-driven predictive *** address the above challenges,we establish an integrated,deep-learning,continuous time network structure that consists of a sequential encoder,a state decoder,and a derivative module to learn the deterministic state space model from thickening *** a case study,we examine our methods with a tailing thickener manufactured by the FLSmidth installed with massive sensors and obtain extensive experimental *** results demonstrate that the proposed continuous-time model with the sequential encoder achieves better prediction performances than the existing discrete-time models and reduces the negative effects from long time delays by extracting features from historical system *** proposed method also demonstrates outstanding performances for both short and long term prediction tasks with the two proposed derivative types.

This paper presents an efficient prediction model for a good learning environment using Random Forest(RF)*** consists of a series of modules;data preprocessing,data normalization,data split andfinally classification or prediction by the RF *** preprocessed data is normalized using minmax normalization often used before *** the input data or variables are measured at different scales,it is necessary to normalize them to contribute equally to the ***,the RF classifier is employed for course selection which is an ensemble learning method and k-fold cross-validation(k=10)is used to validate the *** proposed Prediction Model for Course Selection(PMCS)system is considered a multi-class problem that predicts the course for a particular learner with three complexity levels,namely low,medium and *** is operated under two modes;locally and *** former considers the gender of the learner and the later does not consider the gender of the *** database comprises the learner opinions from 75 males and 75 females per category(low,medium and high).Thus the system uses a total of 450 samples to evaluate the performance of the PMCS *** show that the system’s performance,while using locally i.e.,gender-wise has slightly higher performance than the global *** RF classifier with 75 decision trees in the global system provides an average accuracy of 97.6%,whereas in the local system it is 97%(male)and 97.6%(female).The overall performance of the RF classifier with 75 trees is better than 25,50 and 100 decision trees in both local and global systems.

Optimized graph transformer with molecule attention network based multi class attack detection framework for enhancing privacy and security in WSN

In today's rapidly evolving network landscape, cybersecurity has become increasingly crucial. However, wireless sensor networks face unique challenges due to their limited resources and diverse composition, high computational demands, diminished accuracy rates, making them susceptible to a wide array of cyber threats. To tackle these challenges, this research introduced a novel method known as Optimized Graph Transformer with Molecule Attention Network (OGTMAN) on the fusion of Secure Multi-party Computation (SMC) and differential privacy aimed at enhancing privacy and security. This approach starts with data preprocessing, employing min–max normalization to address dataset imbalances. N-Tuple Contrastive Learning with Generative transformer(N-TCLG)feature extractor distinguish between different classes of data instances and effectively learns representations that capture relevant information about network traffic patterns Further, feature selection by enhanced chi-square statistics with kepler algorithm, is utilized to assess the significance of each feature in characteristic between normal network behavior and malicious activities further refines the feature selection method by optimizing the selection criteria based on the statistical properties of the dataset. Finally, the proposed OGTMAN classifies various attacks based on their behavioural patterns with the help of enhanced ant aphid optimization with adaptive step factor. Ultimately, this fine-tuning yield superior model training outcomes, resulting more accurate attack classification outcomes. To evaluate the effectiveness of this approach, datasets encompassing with KDD Cup 99 datasets are employed. Researchers have recently created several deep learning strategies for various tasks, and facial recognition has made remarkable progress in employing these techniques. Face recognition is a noncontact, nonobligatory, acceptable, and harmonious biometric recognition method with a promising national and social security future. The purpose of this paper is to improve the existing face recognition algorithm, investigate extensive data-driven face recognition methods, and propose a unique automated face recognition methodology based on generative adversarial networks (GANs) and the center symmetric multivariable local binary pattern (CS-MLBP). To begin, this paper employs the center symmetric multivariant local binary pattern (CS-MLBP) algorithm to extract the texture features of the face, addressing the issue that C2DPCA (column-based two-dimensional principle component analysis) does an excellent job of removing the global characteristics of the face but struggles to process the local features of the face under large samples. The extracted texture features are combined with the international features retrieved using C2DPCA to generate a multifeatured face. The proposed method, GAN-CS-MLBP, syndicates the power of GAN with the robustness of CS-MLBP, resulting in an accurate and efficient face recognition system. Deep learning algorithms, mainly neural networks, automatically extract discriminative properties from facial images. The learned features capture low-level information and high-level meanings, permitting the model to distinguish among dissimilar persons more successfully. To assess the proposed technique’s GAN-CS-MLBP performance, extensive experiments are performed on benchmark face recognition datasets such as LFW, YTF, and CASIA-WebFace. Giving to the findings, our method exceeds state-of-the-art facial recognition systems in terms of recognition accuracy and resilience.
