Food is the cornerstone of both survival and social life. With the increasing complexity of global dietary needs and preferences, there is a growing demand for food intelligence to enable tasks like recipe recommendation and diet-disease correlation discovery. To address this, we introduce the Food-oriented Large Language Model (LLM) FoodSky, which offers fine-grained perception and reasoning of food data. We constructed a food corpus, FoodEarth, from various authoritative sources to enhance FoodSky's knowledge. We also developed the Topic-based Selective State Space Model and Hierarchical Topic Retrieval Augmented Generation algorithms to improve FoodSky's ability to capture fine-grained food semantics and generate context-aware food-relevant text. Extensive experiments show that FoodSky outperforms general-purpose LLMs on the Chinese National Chef Exam and Dietetic Exam, achieving accuracies of 67.2% and 66.4%, respectively. FoodSky not only enhances culinary creativity and promotes healthier eating patterns but also establishes a new standard for domain-specific LLMs tackling real-world food-related issues. © 2024, The Authors. A super-broadband rectifier with expended input power range(IPR) for wireless power transfer (WPT) and radio frequency energy harvesting (RFEH) is proposed and analyzed. Meanwhile, using a simple impedance compression network consisting of quadruple microstrip lines (QMLICN) with the topology of the dickson charge pump, high power conversion efficiency (PCE) and super-broadband impedance matching are achieved. In addition, the IPRs of the rectifier are also extended. The simulation results indicate that an IPR of 12 - 25 dBm with a frequency range of 0.4 - 2.5 GHz (fractional bandwidth over 144%), the PEC exceeds 50% are realized, while at an input power of 19 dBm, the rectifier reaches a peak PCE of 74.2%. The rectifier covers the GSM 900, GSM 1800, 3G 2100 and WIFI 2400 bands, which design would have significant potential applications for the development of microwave power transmission systems. © 2022 IEEE.

The rapid evolution of artificial intelligence, big data, and generative AI models has ushered in significant transformations across various sectors, including education. Digital Human Technique, an innovative technology grounded in advanced computer science and artificial intelligence, is reshaping educational paradigms by enabling virtual humans to simulate human behavior, express emotions, and interact with users. This paper explores the application of Digital Human Technique in education reform, focusing on creating immersive, intelligent classroom experiences that foster meaningful interactions between teachers and students. We define Digital Human Technique and delve into its key technical components such as character modeling and rendering, natural language processing, computer vision, and augmented reality technologies. Our methodology involves analyzing the role of educational digital humans created through these technologies, assessing their impact on educational processes, and examining various application scenarios in educational reform. Results indicate that Digital Human Technique significantly enhances the learning experience by enabling personalized teaching, increasing engagement, and fostering emotional connections. Educational digital humans serve as virtual teachers, interactive learning aids, and facilitators of emotional interaction, effectively addressing the challenges of traditional educational methods. They also promote a deeper understanding of complex concepts through simulated environments and interactive digital content. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Logo detection plays an integral role in many applications. However, handling small logos is still difficult since they occupy too few pixels in the image, which burdens the extraction of discriminative features. The aggregation of small logos also brings a great challenge to the classification and localization of logos. To solve these problems, we creatively propose Cross-direction Task Decoupling Network (CTDNet) for small logo detection. We first introduce Cross-direction Feature Pyramid (CFP) to realize cross-direction feature fusion by adopting horizontal transmission and vertical transmission. In addition, Multi-frequency Task Decoupling Head (MTDH) decouples the classification and localization tasks into two branches. A multi-frequency attention convolution branch is designed to achieve more accurate regression by combining discrete cosine transform and convolution creatively. Comprehensive experiments on four logo datasets demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method.

Direct speech-to-speech translation (S2ST) translates speech from one language into another using a single model. However, due to the presence of linguistic and acoustic diversity, the target speech follows a complex multimodal distribution, posing challenges to achieving both high-quality translations and fast decoding speeds for S2ST models. In this paper, we propose DASpeech, a non-autoregressive direct S2ST model which realizes both fast and high-quality S2ST. To better capture the complex distribution of the target speech, DASpeech adopts the two-pass architecture to decompose the generation process into two steps, where a linguistic decoder first generates the target text, and an acoustic decoder then generates the target speech based on the hidden states of the linguistic decoder. Specifically, we use the decoder of DA-Transformer as the linguistic decoder, and use FastSpeech 2 as the acoustic decoder. DA-Transformer models translations with a directed acyclic graph (DAG). To consider all potential paths in the DAG during training, we calculate the expected hidden states for each target token via dynamic programming, and feed them into the acoustic decoder to predict the target mel-spectrogram. During inference, we select the most probable path and take hidden states on that path as input to the acoustic decoder. Experiments on the CVSS Fr→En benchmark demonstrate that DASpeech can achieve comparable or even better performance than the state-of-the-art S2ST model Translatotron 2, while preserving up to 18.53× speedup compared to the autoregressive baseline. Compared with the previous non-autoregressive S2ST model, DASpeech does not rely on knowledge distillation and iterative decoding, achieving significant improvements in both translation quality and decoding speed. Richly formatted documents,such as financial disclosures,scientific articles,government regulations,widely exist on ***,since most of these documents are only for public reading,the styling information inside them is usually missing,making them improper or even burdensome to be displayed and edited in different formats and *** this study we formulate the task of document styling restoration as an optimization problem,which aims to identify the styling settings on the document elements,e.g.,lines,table cells,text,so that rendering with the output styling settings results in a document,where each element inside it holds the(closely)exact position with the one in the original *** that each styling setting is a decision,this problem can be transformed as a multi-step decision-making task over all the document elements,and then be solved by reinforcement ***,Monte-Carlo Tree Search(MCTS)is leveraged to explore the different styling settings,and the policy function is learnt under the supervision of the delayed *** a case study,we restore the styling information inside tables,where structural and functional data in the documents are usually *** shows that,our best reinforcement method successfully restores the stylings in 87.65%of the tables,with 25.75%absolute improvement over the *** also discuss the tradeoff between the inference time and restoration success rate,and argue that although the reinforcement methods cannot be used in real-time scenarios,it is suitable for the offline tasks with high-quality ***,this model has been applied in a PDF parser to support cross-format display.

Previous works for ObjectNav task attempt to learn the association (e.g. relation graph) between the visual inputs and the goal during training. Such association contains the prior knowledge of navigating in training environments, which is denoted as the experience. The experience performs a positive effect on helping the agent infer the likely location of the goal when the layout gap between the unseen environments of the test and the prior knowledge obtained in training is minor. However, when the layout gap is significant, the experience exerts a negative effect on navigation. Motivated by keeping the positive effect and removing the negative effect of the experience, we propose the layout-based soft Total Direct Effect (L-sTDE) framework based on the causal inference to adjust the prediction of the navigation policy. In particular, we propose to calculate the layout gap which is defined as the KL divergence between the posterior and the prior distribution of the object layout. Then the sTDE is proposed to appropriately control the effect of the experience based on the layout gap. Experimental results on AI2THOR, RoboTHOR, and Habitat demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. The code is available at https://***/sx-zhang/***.

The goal of few-shot learning is to learn the generalization from seen to unseen data with only a few samples. Most previous few-shot learning methods focus on learning the generalization within particular domains. However, the more practical scenarios may also require the generalization ability across domains. In this paper, we study the problem of few-shot domain generalization (FSDG), which is a more challenging variant of few-shot classification. FSDG requires additional generalization with larger gap from seen domains to unseen domains. We address FSDG problem by meta-learning two levels of meta-knowledge, where the lower-level meta-knowledge is domain-specific embedding spaces as subspaces of a base space for intra-domain generalization, and the upper-level meta-knowledge is the base space and a prior subspace over domain-specific spaces for inter-domain generalization. We formulate the two levels of meta-knowledge learning problem with bi-level optimization, and further develop an optimization algorithm without higher-order derivative information to solve it. We demonstrate our method is significantly superior to the previous works by evaluating it on the widely used benchmark Meta-Dataset.

SILTD: Structural information for LLM-Generated Text Detection

The rapid development of large language models (LLMs) has significantly improved the quality and diversity of AI-generated content(AIGC). LLM-Generated text detection plays an important role in preventing the harmful misuse of large language models. Existing approaches primarily analyze texts individually, overlooking the structural relationships between them. This limitation restricts their ability to generalize across diverse LLMs, as they fail to capture the shared statistical patterns inherent in generated texts. To address this, an unsupervised-based structural information for LLM-generated text detection (SILTD) method is proposed. The key insight is that texts from different LLMs exhibit latent similarities in their generative statistical space, which can be modeled to improve cross-model generalization. First, we construct a multi-relational text graph based on the similarity of text features, which aims to model the intricate similarities and correlations between texts. Second, we propose a novel unsupervised graph clustering method. The multi-relational graph is transformed into an encoding tree, which is then optimized based on a two-dimensional structure entropy minimization algorithm to achieve hierarchical clustering of texts. Structural entropy minimization enables achieving high-quality clusters, by measuring the uncertainty of random walks within the graph. Finally, we introduce a new method that measures text similarity and computes the intensity of text aggregation within each cluster, to perform in-cluster label inference. Extensive experiments show that, compared to baseline methods, our approach is more effective and generalizable in detecting six popular LLMs across five datasets. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2025.
