There is an ever increasing demand for intelligent and efficient urban vehicle systems that fulfill several requirements, e.g., low cost maintainability and high passenger comfort. Concerning these goals reliable methods are needed to model and to evaluate the imposed performances. In this paper a spectral analysis of the suspension system of a commercial city bus is presented. Based on experimental data taken on a city bus, the vibrations emerging on the wheels and the body are analyzed in the frequency domain. The goal of the analysis is to characterize the main eigenfrequencies of the suspension system and its damping in amplitude and also to evaluate both the road and the suspension system in terms of passenger comfort according to ISO standards.

This paper addresses the problem of robust stabilization for uncertain systems subject to input saturation and nonhomogeneous Markov *** uncertainties are assumed to be norm bounded and the transition probabilities are time-varying and *** expressing the saturated linear feedback law on a convex hull of a group of auxiliary linear feedback laws and the time-varying transition probabilities inside a polytope,we establish conditions under which the closed-loop system is asymptotically *** on these conditions, the problem of designing the state feedback gains for achieving fast transience response with a guaranteed size of the domain of attraction is formulated and solved as a constrained optimization problem with linear matrix inequality(LMI) *** results are then illustrated by a numerical example.

Numerous papers are devoted to the problem of irradiating thin films on the substrate for surface nano-modification. But all of them concern the dynamics of the dynamics, paying almost no attention to substrate just as object of the first shockwave absorption. A different point of view with an emphasis on the dynamics of a substrate is presented. Under powerful laser action upon a thin metal film a hole arises. Its radius depends on the absorbed laser energy. Experimental results, quantitative theoretical model and numerical research are presented and show that the hole formation is influenced by propagation of the shock wave in the substrate, but not in the film itself. Four stages are considered. (i) Shockwave generation in a support because of an impact of a contact. (ii) Transition from one-dimensional to two-dimensional propagation of the shockwave. (iii) Lateral propagation of the shockwave along a film-support contact. And (iv) calculating pressure in the compressed layer behind the decaying shockwave. This positive pressure acting from substrate on the film accelerates the film in direction to vacuum. Above some threshold, velocity of accelerated film is enough to separate the film from support. In these cases the circle of separation is significantly wider than the focal laser spot on film surface.

Crosstalk is a critical defect affecting quality in 3D displays. Existing methods require tedious computations or device-specific optical measurements and results are often sub-optimal for 3D productions. We propose a method based on light field acquisition and optimization for crosstalk reduction. Algorithms were developed and experimental results showed superior performance.
A PID regulator tuning method is introduced for HAMMERSTEIN and WIENER type block-oriented cascade factorable nonlinear models. Then the YOULA-parameterization approach is discussed which allows to develop an observer...

Summary form only given, as follows. Teams and organizations collaborate to create value that cannot be created through individual effort. Collaboration, however, engenders complex economic, interpersonal, social, political, cognitive, emotional, physical, and technological challenges. Groups can improve key outcomes using collaboration technologies, but any technology that can be used well can also be used badly; good tools do not assure successful collaboration. The value of a collaboration technology can only be realized in the larger context of a collaboration system, a combination of actors, hardware, software, knowledge, and work practices to advance groups toward their goals. Designers of collaboration systems must therefore address many issues when creating a new collaboration system. This track seeks new work from researchers in many disciplines to foster a growing a body of exploratory, theoretical, experimental, and applied science/engineering research that could inform design and deployment of collaboration systems. We seek papers that address individual, group, organizational, and social factors that affect outcomes of interest among people making joint efforts toward a group goal. Collaboration is too complex to be fully understood from a single perspectives. The track therefore seeks to foster broader understandings with a diversity of approaches. We solicit papers from the full range of epistemological, methodological, and ethical approaches.

In this paper, a low-cost dualtone radio interferometric positioning system using a single mobile anchor is proposed to locate multiple targets at the same time. We name it mDRIPS. In mDRIPS, each target continuously transmits a dual-tone signal with its dedicated frequencies, and the mobile anchor receives the signals at different positions along its trajectory, Neither time synchronization between the mobile anchor and the targets nor time synchronization among the targets is required. We take the instability of targets clocks into consideration and develop an ESPRIT-type algorithm to estimate frequencies of each dual-tone signal. Furthermore, the time of arrival (TOA) of each target signal is extracted from the phase estimates of the received dual-tone signals. After measuring several TOAs at different locations along the anchor's trajectory, each target can be located. Since the frequency difference of the two tones of each dualtone signal is designed to be smaller than the channel coherence bandwidth, the same fading effect on these two tones can be eliminated. Moreover, the integer ambiguity problem due to phase wrapping is investigated, and a localization algorithm to deal with a simplified ambiguity problem is proposed. Numerical results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed mDRIPS.

Public sentiment permeated through social media is usually regarded as an important measure for hot event detecting, policy making and so forth, hence many governments and intelligence agencies have been launching various initiatives to facilitate theories, technologies and systems toward monitoring its fluctuation. Recently, massive new words are created and widely spread in social media, and they pose a great influence on sentiment analysis. Facing this situation, most previous work still just add those new words into sentiment lexicon, none of the existed researches focuses on the role and influence of new words in emotional expression. In this paper, we pay more attention to the influence of new words and propose two novel new words based sentiment analysis methods, named NWLb and NWSA, the former only with the help of lexicon and the latter further incorporates machine learning, which utilize the distinctive role of new words to improve the effectiveness of sentiment analysis in social media. Experiments on real social media dataset demonstrate the effectiveness and performance of our methods.
