Ecological and genetic consequences of optimal equilibrium harvest with constant quota in uniform and two-aged populations have been considered in this work. It has been shown analytically that maximum of equilibrium harvest income is unreachable when both age groups are harvested simultaneously. The optimal strategy of harvest is the catch of fixed portion from single age group. In addition, optimal harvest may result not only in a change in the dynamic mode of the system, but also in a considerable change in the genetic composition of the population.

Optical properties of chitosan films of different ionic forms as well as their mutual correlation were investigated. By using spectral ellipsometry and mode spectroscopy methods it was discovered that these properties depend upon relative humidity of environment. It was shown that all specimens studied are characterized by the relative humidity thresholds at which their optical properties vary. The data obtained allow one to consider chitosan as a material with optical properties controlled by the humidity level change

This work is devoted to the theoretical analysis of the inverse problem of ellipsometry. This problem for many years remained one of the most important tasks in the study of thin films while interest in the ellipsometric measurements stimulated by the possibility of obtaining planar fiber structures of various shapes and finding new materials, technologies and applications. This paper presents a theoretical apparatus for solving the inverse problem of ellipsometry, various methods of determining the optical parameters of the investigated thin films. Experimentally various samples of chitosan thin films on glass substrate were investigated by spectroscopic ellipsometer “Ellipse 1891 SAG” using the developed mathematical models. As it was revealed, a jump of refraction indexes at various humidity in the measured environment was observed, that does the given material perspective for creation on its basis of new planar optical waveguides in the future.

In the present study an optical remote method for monitoring parameters of hydroacoustic vibrations, which enables measurement of the low-frequency signals characteristics from the air environment, without mechanical contact with water was developed The method provides a threshold sensitivity of ∼ 40 Pa, and has a linear frequency response in the range 10 ÷ 90 Hz.

The electronic structure and morphology of calcium silicide films formed by reactive deposition epitaxy at 130 oC on Mg2Si film and at 500 oC on Si(111)7x7 surface, their optical and electrical properties have been investigated. Formation of new calcium silicide phase with high Si concentration, indirect band gap (0.63 eV), high conductivity at low temperatures (50-450 K) has been obtained after calcium deposition at 500 oC on Si(111)7x7 surface.
