The issues of estimating the influence of the sampling rate variability on the spectral distribution of complex discrete samples of the isoline drift signal formed on the TP segment of the electrocardiosignal has been examined. Mathematical expressions that relate the spectral components in the zero spectral zone caused by the presence of sampling rate variability and non-zero samples of the isoline drift signal, which allow us to estimate the ratio of these components, have been obtained. © 2021 IEEE.

A Pango FPGA-based solution for merging and processing multiple independent video streams and reconstructing a real-time display system is presented. The system handles each video stream individually, then produces a combined video output in HDMI format. To ensure high efficiency and low latency, a parallel processing scheme and a hardware-oriented architecture are employed. The Pango PG50K FPGA board acts as the central hardware for managing inputs, reconstructing video, and producing outputs. Rapid-access DDR3-SDRAM ensures efficient data caching and signal integrity. This system is ideal for applications requiring rapid response, such as traffic monitoring and industrial automation, and supports quick algorithm iteration and optimization, enhancing performance and adaptability.

Based on the experience of the authors, represented by several published papers about radiometry applied to power circuit-breaker analyses, efforts towards the development of a radiometric measurement device for replacing the commercially available digital oscilloscope are qualitatively described. The main reason for this search for the replacement relies on the fact that the triggering system and principles of commercially available oscilloscopes are not as fully confident as they must be for radiometric systems applied to power circuit-breaker analysis. For implementing this, the very first step is to adopt a new method of data processing, which is presented in this work and is to be combined with a future hardware structure for composing the triggering system of a new radiometric measurement device. The examples given show how effective the new proposal is. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper provides a review of popular fault diagnosis methods in the power subsystem and electrical machine of electric drives. The review aims to explore the different approaches used to detect faults in these components and the most common types of faults encountered in electric drives. The paper first provides an overview of the power subsystem and electrical machine and their respective functions within the electric drive system. It then proceeds to discuss the different types of faults that can occur in these components, including overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, and short circuits. The review evaluates the various fault diagnosis methods available for these components, including model-based, signal-based, and artificial intelligence-based approaches. Model-based approaches use mathematical models of the system to detect and diagnose faults. Signal-based approaches rely on the analysis of measured signals to detect changes in system behavior that indicate a fault. Artificial intelligence-based approaches use machine learning algorithms to identify patterns in data and detect faults. Model-based approaches are highly accurate but can be computationally intensive. Signal-based approaches are less computationally intensive but may be less accurate in certain situations. Artificial intelligence-based approaches are versatile but require significant amounts of data for training. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the current state-of-the-art in fault diagnosis methods for the power subsystem and electrical machine of electric drives. The review concludes by suggesting potential areas for future research to further improve the accuracy and efficiency of fault diagnosis methods for electric drives. © 2023 IEEE.

Wastewater treatment is an important source of greenhouse gases(GHGs).Yet large uncertainties remain in the quantification of GHG emissions from municipal wastewater treatment plants(MWWTPs)in China.A high-resolution and technology-specific emission inventory is still lacking to support mitigation strategies of *** we develop a plant-level and technology-based MWWTP emission inventory for China covering 8703 plants and 19 treatment technology categories by compiling and harmonizing the most up-to-date facility-level ***'s methane(CH_(4))and nitrous oxide(N_(2)O)emissions from MWWTPs in 2020 are estimated to be 150.6 Gg and 22.0 Gg,respectively,with the uncertainty range of-30%to 37%and-30%to 26%at 95%confidence *** find an emission inequality across cities,with the richest cities emitting two times more CH_(4)and N_(2)O per capita from municipal wastewater treatment than the poorest *** emitted CH_(4)and N_(2)O are dominated by Anaerobic/Anoxic/Oxic-,Sequencing Batch Reactor-,Oxidation Ditch-,and Anoxic/Oxic-based MWWTPs of less than 20 years *** the relatively young age structure of China's MWWTPs,the committed emissions highlight the importance of reducing on-site GHG emissions by optimization of operating conditions and innovation *** emission differences among our estimates,previous studies,and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change guidelines are largely attributed to the uncertainties in emission factors,implying the urgent need for more plant-integrated measurements to improve the accuracy of emission accounting.

Nowadays, mobile robots play an important role in a variety of service scenarios. They need to plan and track trajectories to accomplish tasks such as delivery or guided tours. In such tasks, there are two remaining challenges: on one hand, the time and memory consumption of present path planners are still significant; on the other hand, service robots, which have a higher center of gravity, demand greater moving stability than that of current trajectory planners provide. To address these two challenges. Firstly, we propose a safety boundary first A* which fully utilizes environmental obstacle information to create a safety boundary and searches in it to quickly find an initial path. Secondly, we formulate the trajectory optimization problem as a nonlinear optimization problem, where the smoothness, safety, feasibility, and moving stability of the robot are taken into account. Furthermore, to constrain the robot's lateral acceleration, we design a time allocation algorithm based on non-uniform B-spline, enhancing the quality of the resulting trajectory. Simulations and real-world experiments demonstrate that our algorithms significantly improve path search efficiency, enhance moving stability, reduce the difficulty of tracking, and improve the quality of task completion.

Multi-component replacement repairable systems refer to systems wherein all critical components are replaced in batches after a given production cycle, while defective parts are taken offline for maintenance before being reused as the system continues to operate. This paper focuses on multi-component replacement repairable systems composed of multiple identical components, defining a grouped replacement and offline condition-based maintenance strategy. The concept of maintenance degree is introduced to indicate the extent of maintenance on a component, and a model is constructed where maintenance effects, costs, and durations are determined by this degree of maintenance. By analyzing the state transition characteristics of the system operating under alternating conditions of operational and replacement components, a steady-state probability model of system degradation is derived. Considering factors such as maintenance time, cost, and effectiveness, an average cost rate model within a finite time frame is established to determine the optimal system replacement period, preventive maintenance thresholds, and degree of maintenance. The correctness and effectiveness of the strategy and model are verified using a seven-roll continuous hot-rolling system as a case study, along with an analysis of parameter sensitivity. © The Institution of engineering & Technology 2024.

This paper investigates the problem of designing control policies that satisfy high-level specifications described by signal temporal logic (STL) in unknown, stochastic environments. While many existing works concentrate on optimizing the spatial robustness of a system, our work takes a step further by also considering temporal robustness as a critical metric to quantify the tolerance of time uncertainty in STL. To this end, we formulate two relevant control objectives to enhance the temporal robustness of the synthesized policies. The first objective is to maximize the probability of being temporally robust for a given threshold. The second objective is to maximize the worst-case spatial robustness value within a bounded time shift. We use reinforcement learning to solve both control synthesis problems for unknown systems. Specifically, we approximate both control objectives in a way that enables us to apply the standard Q-learning algorithm. Theoretical bounds in terms of the approximations are also derived. We present case studies to demonstrate the feasibility of our approach.
